[00:00:12] Speaker A: Gets hit Kimmy kids a little too far here. He's gonna have to try and get [00:00:15] Speaker B: himself out Living o Tillery and the [00:00:16] Speaker A: rest of the shots of fire. Zion is just killing the next Zion can eat single handedly win the game [00:00:22] Speaker B: by game by game by game by [00:00:26] Speaker A: should be oh my God. Stupid passes through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. I do not believe he just believe. [00:00:42] Speaker B: I cannot understand this game. [00:00:46] Speaker A: Unicorns of love. It wasn't a mutant. They're Nexus. Hello and welcome to episode 617 of the League Rundown. This is your 2026 Summer Split LEC and LCS week one review along with your week two preview. This episode is lovingly entitled Live Crowds Forever baby. I love me some live crowds. I'm your host, Kangas. I'm joined by one esteemed co host who I assume also loves live crowds and that is fresh out of the can. It's Badger. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Absolutely. Live crowds are great. I I'm so excited for a topic that we'll be covering here in a little bit that's going to be a roadshow for the lcs. That's your, that's your tease if you don't know what's going on at this point. But no, the, the Paris crowd made games that were kind of unwatchable more watchable with how exciting the crowd was in the background. [00:01:57] Speaker A: I think that's the best esports crowd I've ever seen at this point. I've seen enough of the LEC road shows between France and Spain. I've seen enough. I've been a part of enough road shows in the lcs watching worlds, either in person in North America or just online. I dude, that French crowd was insane. That, that was I think the, the best hands down crowd experience, crowd addition to the broadcast. It really adds to the broadcast in a great tangible way that you just can't replicate unless you get the right crowd, the right energy. And that's something that a broadcast can't control for. So shout out to the French crowd. That was awesome. You already kind of teased it because it was announced earlier. So let's get straight into the news here. There's not a lot of news, but one of the big pieces is that there is a road trip in the lcs. One of our teams will be hosting their own road show in week six of the lcs and that is lion in Mexico City. Let's go baby. Are you going to go to Mexico? Are you going to get a plane ticket? [00:03:03] Speaker B: Probably. Probably not because very short Notice slightly [00:03:09] Speaker A: short notice, but still really cool that one of our teams is also hosting and that the Latin American crowd, Spanish speaking crowd gets a live show. It's been a while. Because their entire region was yanked from them. Remember last year lta merger. Brazil and North America weren't happy about it. Well, neither was the Latin American audience because they lost their entire region. At least they get now now a live League of Legends show in Mexico City. Gonna be very cool. But yeah. What are your thoughts, Badger? [00:03:37] Speaker B: Are they playing at the same. Are they playing at the Riot Games? Mexico? [00:03:43] Speaker A: Yes, it'll be in the same old studio that they have, I believe is in Mexico City. Or at least like it's. [00:03:48] Speaker B: I thought it was too, but no, I think that's very exciting. Especially we've seen the energy that the home crowd gives towards their team and then the. The hostility that the visiting teams potentially have. By God, if there's. There's such a thing as an away game, it. It's. It was G2 walking into Paris. [00:04:16] Speaker A: True, dude. That was a great moment when Broken [00:04:20] Speaker B: Blade, they like antagonizing the crowd. Yeah. [00:04:24] Speaker A: Yep. And the fact that they lost just made that even better. But yeah, for. For our one for the news, it is going to be four teams there for that weekend. So it's going to be. I imagine. I haven't looked at the exact schedule, but I think it's going to be similar to how LEC does it where it's kind of like a little mini round robin between all those teams. So we'll have two matches each day. Presumably it's going to be Lion, C9 Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion, not Fly Quest. You'd think it'd be like the top four teams. But no, Fly Quest and C9 already had their match. Or rather, sorry, FlyQuest and Lion already had their match and interestingly enough, C9 and TL already had there. So I guess I would mean it'd be like C9 lion than C9 Shopify, presumably would be that weekend's schedule. Again, I haven't looked at the actual full list, but those are the four teams participating. Shout out Shopify for getting the invite as well. So how. How much do you think Lion's gonna be buffed by the home crowd advantage? Like I. I imagine that their ownership will be motivated, but the players themselves aren from the area. [00:05:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Given. Given the nationality of the players at this point, I would agree. I would agree. I don't think it's going to be as strong of a buff. But still, when the crowd is cheering for you and showing hostility towards your opponents. That makes it a little bit easier for you at that point. So, yeah, I don't know. We'll see. I mean, do they need any more buffs at this point? Like, [00:06:01] Speaker A: yeah, I don't know. I don't know if they actually would need more buffs as they had gotten a big Nerf. This was the story last week that we talked about is that Inspired's not on the starting roster. He is back home in Poland for personal family reasons and is hoping to come back early in summer split. But week one was our mayo and a lot of us on the analyst desk when we were talking pre show during the games, even the conversation from the casters was like, how much does Inspired contribute to the success of this lion roster? And we got our answer. We'll talk a bit more about that later though, because that's kind of more into how the games went. But yeah, they. They have a Nerf right now still one. They're gonna have a buff later on with the home crowd cheering them on. Let's see if lion can remain undefeated up until that moment. Other things that happened this past week, the show matches, the. The League Classic show matches. LCS got one. LEC got one. LEC's was on Saturday morning for us in North America, whereas LCS's was on Friday. Were you able to catch either of those Badger? [00:07:08] Speaker B: I saw the LCS one. I watched game one of it. I didn't catch any of the LEC one because I was at work. [00:07:15] Speaker A: The only parts of the LEC one that I caught were the moments that shocks was play by play casting because those popped off on social media. [00:07:23] Speaker B: I saw that because it came through. It came through my Twitter algorithm. [00:07:27] Speaker A: But all I can say is I don't think I'm ever going to get invited back to guest cast lec. They got shocks in. [00:07:34] Speaker B: She came for your job, brother. Like, I'm sorry to tell you this, but. [00:07:40] Speaker A: Oh well, what are you going to do? [00:07:41] Speaker B: What are you going to do? [00:07:42] Speaker A: She's the go, right? [00:07:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:44] Speaker A: But yeah, over there it was fun. I heard. I. I still want to go back and rewatch it, but I've heard just from general sentiment online, theirs over there was just superposty and like ridiculous. Ours was a little nostalgic and both the sentiment for both was that they were both very well executed and great. They were different styles and different energies because ours and NA was very like clg TSM rivalry history, whereas theirs was much more like, ah, let's just get a bunch of old players together and, you know, have fun with it. So I think both, both are really cool, but CLG took it. Let's go. They lost their last match vs TSM before CLG disappeared from League of Legends, and now they're back and they won. So there we go. We. We get the final win. Take that, tsm. [00:08:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:36] Speaker A: What was the experience like watching that one though? Badger from, from the. The at home vibe, it felt weird. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Like, so like all of the graphics on screen. It took me Back to like 2014 after I had just gotten home from like, like college classes and was sitting down and doing homework and had the LCS up on. On my TV in my, my old bedroom and just being like, huh, this feels weird. Especially with, you know, freak being back. Riv. Being part of the broadcast and just seeing all of the old stuff and having all of the like, the old changes and just being like, oh, I remembered that. Oh God, I remember that. And just having way too many moments of like, clarity of like, I. I really appreciate that. They did. They renamed Athenes to Shoe Shays. [00:09:35] Speaker A: Like, yeah, that was really nice. [00:09:36] Speaker B: That was a really cool touch. Also, I heard you on the broad. Like I could hear you yelling in the background on the broadcast. That's the best part too. Yeah. [00:09:45] Speaker A: Hell yeah. [00:09:47] Speaker B: At one point, I think, I think they're like. And there's kangas. Yeah. [00:09:53] Speaker A: Well, I got on right away during game one pick ban. I had a sign said like hashtag the or the. The hashtag faithful remain. Because that was my sign that I made and they showed me on broadcast and I think it was Kobe. Somebody said like, oh, that's a prophecy looking guy. Maybe he'll work for riot in the future. It's pretty funny. But also shout out to the CLG Discord because I went into the, the. The old CLG discord that's still around. There's like a fan one and I asked in there, hey, I'm gonna be at the venue. If anybody has any CLG signs, like any signs that they want me to make and they weren' it to the venue, let me know and I'll like, try and get your signs on. The broadcast wasn't able to get many of them on, but I did wait in line and get a photo with all the guys on stage afterwards and was able to get all of the CLG guys to hold at least one of the signs, which is really cool. So. Shout out CLG Discord. Shout out to the faithful. We remain and we Will wait patiently for any future news about clg. Hopefully they're able to come back at some point. Tsm, you can rot in hell forever. [00:10:57] Speaker B: So, [00:10:59] Speaker A: yeah, I wouldn't mind tsm. If CLG comes back. I want TSM to come back because then we have the right. Yeah, you gotta have the rivalry for posterity's sake. I have to maintain the toxicity. Maybe toxicity is not the energy I want to bring into it, but, you know, the playful banter. [00:11:14] Speaker B: You gotta have the. You gotta have the banter. [00:11:16] Speaker A: Bleed and die, TSM pants. [00:11:18] Speaker B: I'm just kidding. [00:11:21] Speaker A: Playful banter. It's just playful banter. All right, cool. [00:11:24] Speaker B: Well, [00:11:26] Speaker A: the other things. Oh, yeah, Spring predictions. I was lazy and never updated the actual spring prediction rate for the podcast proper here. And I went back and I checked all the old logs and I made sure that the numbers are correct. And I have the updated predictions for members of this podcast. Mazel Jamada and Yanni will be left out of predictions for spring because they did not have. And none of them got over 10 series predictions per region. So if you didn't have at least 10, that was gonna be the cutoff for me. Mizell would have gotten 100 for LEC because he was 8. 0. So shout out to Miselle for having a good LEC prediction rate, but it wasn't quite enough predictions for me to be like, yeah, it counts. So it'll be me, Badger, and Bickle. Badger, are you looking at it? Do you actually want to do the announcement? How about you announce lec? I'll do a drum roll for you. Okay, so announcing the. The top three predictions between the three of us. [00:12:19] Speaker B: And drum roll for the lec. The winner of the contest was Bickle. Whoa. [00:12:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:12:31] Speaker B: Got a 36. 5 record over spring, which is 88%. And then Kangas, technically, I'll. I'll say you finished in second because your win rate is technically higher. Yours is 32 and 9 and mine is 28 and 8. Both of them are 78. But just given the nature of how statistics work. Yours. [00:12:52] Speaker A: I think yours rounded up and mine rounded down, but yeah. [00:12:55] Speaker B: Yes. So yours. We're essentially the same. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's. That's beside the point. Now take it. The barn burner. The winner of the spring prediction rate for the LCs between Kangas, Bickle and myself. Drumroll, please. It's a three way tie. [00:13:20] Speaker A: Literally. [00:13:20] Speaker B: Yeah, it's literally a three way tie. [00:13:22] Speaker A: Not even just prediction rate. Three way tie. It is a total number of games predicted. Three way tie. It is all of us went 18 and 4. That is ridiculous. And really good prediction rate, by the way. 82. [00:13:35] Speaker B: 82. [00:13:36] Speaker A: Shout out to us. But that's insane that we all tied. I also will say I think this is the highest overall percentage that we've ever had on the pod. So well done to. To our podcast. [00:13:49] Speaker B: We know what we're doing. Sl it's kind of predictable. [00:13:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess. Yeah, we. We are past the point, I would say, where LEC is a coin flip. LEC was always my kryptonite because it was literally like a coin flip. Like, you couldn't really tell who was favorited going into most series. Now, I think there is a pretty clear top three slash top four. So once you have that, it's like, oh, yeah, you just kind of predict one of those teams to win and, like, you should have a good rate. But LCS also with like the top four, bottom four, I. I'm happy that we were at least able to get a lot of those coin flips because when it's like TLC9, kind of hard to predict who's going to win those ones. But overall, we were doing a really good job. So pat us on the back. Yeah, let's go. Or our backs. [00:14:34] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:14:35] Speaker A: Demand for anybody. Unless you want to. I could probably use a massage. Other news. One roster news thing. Do you know anything about the BIN situation? I think I asked you this already and you said no. [00:14:48] Speaker B: I do. Since. [00:14:50] Speaker A: Have you learned it? [00:14:50] Speaker B: I just know. I just know that the. The situation is between him and his family and Knight's family. That's. That's about all I got. [00:15:02] Speaker A: Cool. Yeah, we got an update on, like, why Ben was benched from Mizell, and I'm hearing that he's probably coming back here, but I don't know much about it, so we'll wait until one of the LPL representatives is on to talk more about it. Speaking of, it is up to me to do the LPL update and just catch everybody up on what's. I decided to do it live and not even check ahead of time. So I'm just looking at the Leaguepedia, literally. All right, so there's two groups. I knew this group. Ascend. Oh, blg 100 win rate. They're 3. 0. [00:15:35] Speaker B: Wow. [00:15:36] Speaker A: Even without bin, they're. They're 3. 06 and 3 in game. So all their three series have gone the distance. But hey, top of the group. You'll take it. Who do they beat? They beat anyone's legend. They beat EDG. Who's currently 03 and they beat ThunderTalk Gaming who are 1 and 2. But anyone's legend though, that's a pretty big win there. Okay, cool. Top esports behind them are 2 and 1 and then anyone's legend. 2 and 1. We 2 and 1, Thunder Talk 12 LGD 12 JD G02, Edward Gaming 03 and then in group nirvana. This was the crazy one because this is where like WEBO and IG and LNG are knocked down here because of how the, you know, weird like playoff seating thing went. And two of them are struggling. Webo 0 and 1 LNG 0 and 1. Invictus Gaming to win their for series. And Ninjas in pajamas aka Nip are 20 in game score, 1 and 0 in series score. There you go, little LPL update. It's way less exciting when I do it compared to when the guys that actually know what they're talking about do it. But with that being said, Badger, there's no one to slander LCK on this episode. So talk to me about the best region in the world. [00:16:48] Speaker B: Yeah. So the best region in the world starts tomorrow morning at 4:00am East Coast. [00:16:54] Speaker A: Oh, they haven't even started. [00:16:55] Speaker B: No, no, no. They start tomorrow with the Barn Burner series of Key Womb DRX vs. Nongshim Red Force. Oh yeah, what an opener. [00:17:08] Speaker A: That's what I got. [00:17:09] Speaker B: What? [00:17:10] Speaker A: I might wait up for that. [00:17:11] Speaker B: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Lose sleep over it. You know, I pull an all nighter because of it. I mean the second series is the telecom war. So you know T1 versus KT. That's a, a pretty good, you know, follow up to it, but true. Yeah. [00:17:27] Speaker A: So I'm not staying awake that late. [00:17:28] Speaker B: Absolutely, absolutely. Other series to watch for between now and then. JGT1 Friday morning at 1:00am West Coast. 4:00am East Coast. [00:17:40] Speaker A: That's exciting. [00:17:42] Speaker B: Hanwha plays Gen G next Wednesday at in the second series. And I mean hot. Hanwha also plays DK DK. Their first week is Hanwha Gen G. Like wow. Hey, congratulations, you won EWC. You want to play, you know, two of the best teams in the world like immediately. Oh cool. Yeah yeah, yeah, do that, do that. [00:18:13] Speaker A: That so sounds fair to me. [00:18:16] Speaker B: Sounds fair to me. Yeah. I mean you gotta, you gotta to. To beat the best, you gotta play or to be the best, you gotta beat the best or play the. [00:18:25] Speaker A: Whatever. [00:18:26] Speaker B: I don't know what to say. [00:18:27] Speaker A: Also I will say they didn't have or they shouldn't have the excuse of like the, oh, international travel hangover. It's like, nah, dude, they. That was like a week. Over a week ago at this. [00:18:37] Speaker B: That was like three weeks ago at this point, right? [00:18:39] Speaker A: Yeah. So they're gonna. They should be fresh as opposed to teams like Sentinels that were coming in a little bit less fresh, but still, like, relatively fresh. I don't think a lot of teams. [00:18:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:51] Speaker A: Casey especially. I mean, they didn't even leave the city. It was in France, so. Okay. So if that is how LCK is shaped up, I probably. I was lying. I will probably not stay awake and watch the opening series. [00:19:07] Speaker B: What you don't want to watch? I don't even know who's on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:19:15] Speaker A: You know, T1KT is always exciting. I'll at least check out some of the highlights from that the next day. But thank you for the LCK update. I didn't even know it had not started yet. But that is interesting that they're gonna be probably sprinting a little bit here in summer split because they're gonna be a full week behind some of the other major regions then. I think that's it. [00:19:35] Speaker B: It. [00:19:35] Speaker A: I actually think that, yeah, it was a slow day or slow week for news and not a lot happened. So, yeah, it's. That's pretty much all we got. If we did miss anything that you wish we had talked about, though, you know what to do. Check out the community. You got that right. [00:19:53] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I know. It's the. [00:19:59] Speaker A: Yeah, Community Discord link is in the description. Wherever you are listening along. There we go. I get paid to talk, by the way. Also, shout out to everybody who. Who supports the pod, either through our merch shop or through the Patreon. Links to both of those are also in the description. With that being said, let's talk about Lek and Lucas, because we had some series this past weekend for the debut opening weekend of summer split for each region. And some of the series delivered, some of them did not. And we can talk about all of them. Let's start with Lec over in Europe because we got the French crowd, we got the excitement of KC remaining undefeated in regular season in front of the French crowd. That they are. That is like an insane stat. They are so consistent and it's against the best teams, too. It's against the G2s, the McOise, the vitalities, the Navis. Like, man, dude, that is actually impressive as hell when I saw that graphic. And then them actually still go undefeated this weekend despite the fact I predicted them to go undefeated. That's ridiculous that they have that level of consistency. I think it's like 10, 0. [00:21:04] Speaker B: Yeah, they're very consistent when it comes to playing in front of the home crowd. They always, they always get a buff when they're in France. You know, the blue wall backing them up. We, we, we talked about in the beginning with the, the positivity towards your team and the hostility towards the other makes for a great environment. But at the same time, I mean, no one else, I don't want to say no one else really showed up to play because, like, I mean, G2 took care of business. They beat MCOH and they beat Vitality. But I, I don't want to say that they looked that great yet. [00:21:41] Speaker A: They were. [00:21:42] Speaker B: My favorite thing was they were memeing about like Perks is like drafting and Fearless and being like, oh, this is his first game of Fearless, best of three and the coaching slot. And I'm like, yeah, this is a real thing that you need to think about. Because, because think about this. The last time Perks played professionally, Fearless wasn't a thing. [00:22:05] Speaker A: True. [00:22:08] Speaker B: He didn't have to think about this back then. [00:22:10] Speaker A: He was on the coaching staff and saw drafting for Fearless. Yeah, this last year. But yeah, that is important to note that from a player perspective, he's actually never played in Fearless. That being said, I agree generally that like Casey, it's, It's awesome that they kept their, their win rate. I am not immediately then convinced that they are the best team in Europe. I still think the G2 will by the end of summer split, be the top dogs and be the team to beat. I think the bigger surprise for me in LEC was how much McOil struggled. [00:22:45] Speaker B: Like, man, yeah, yeah, they were winless, [00:22:51] Speaker A: not even able to take down Vitality. And that I think was the one that they at least should have been able to win that. Especially with how Fiesta had been looking in the previous series. So I think a lot of surprises in my mind just from how MCO played the map and struggled against the top teams in the region when typically I'd expect them to be able to hang. [00:23:13] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, we talk about the, the buff that Casey gets when they play in France. Does McOil have like a debuff? Because it feels like I haven't seen them. I don't know. This is. This might be like short, like hindsight at this point, but like they. I don't feel like they've performed well when they've played in Paris. [00:23:34] Speaker A: Honestly, you might be onto some because I, I would agree, like even in Spain, I think didn't they. Did they lose to KCU in Spain? Hosted? I don't remember if they. [00:23:44] Speaker B: That's. Yeah, they did. Yeah. Maybe it's roadshows in general. [00:23:47] Speaker A: It might just be roadshows. [00:23:49] Speaker B: I mean. Yeah, I mean, which is weird because like, coy, when you think of like European brands, like teams, you think of G2, you think of Casey and you think of the Spanish crowd backing Koi. Like, those are the three big ones at that point. But like, I don't know. I mean, their game, one that they had against G2 is really convincing. Like, they. They. We kind of. You and I talked about this earlier before the show, but like they played Jace Lee, Sin Galio, Akali, Camille and beat a lock, made lock look balanced and then just started. Then they played kind of standard the next game. I mean, it was super on syndrome. Like that's just where the meta is at this point. Like, we can, we can have a talk about mages if we need to, but I don't really want to spend the next hour and a half of my life just being like, why are we. [00:24:42] Speaker A: Entirely different conversation. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:24:45] Speaker B: But like, like, it just feels like, okay, they caught them off guard and then just nothing happened. Just feels weird. [00:24:53] Speaker A: It just. [00:24:53] Speaker B: I don't know if they're, you know, not playing cohesive like Alvaro might have. My Alvaro might need to check his account like you. Hey, buddy, you might want to see if your. Your Tournament Realm account is still active at this point. Just based on how much he was running at this weekend too, at times. But at the same time, this team has been around so long, they should have the synergy built up. Like, what's going on with it? It just felt like there were times that they were just funneling in one by one by one and just taking these weird fights. Just. Yeah, Yeah. I just. I don't know. It. It feels weird. It's a. It's a weird point. I mean, I don't want to over index on week one, especially considering it's a super weak. Not in the home studio in the country of your. Your arguably biggest rival that you've had in the LEC since both of your arrivals there, but you got to show up and you got to play those games like you have to be there. Jojo just didn't look like himself either. I don't know. It's just weird. It. [00:25:59] Speaker A: Yeah, he's like solo killing fiesta as like Victor into Orianna, which. And then he will just kind of get picked up, act in late game and die or like misposition a team. [00:26:10] Speaker B: Yeah, it's just. Yeah, it's like he's trying his best. [00:26:12] Speaker A: Like he's still putting in the work, but it's not the same level of oh, you give gold to JoJo and he will solo carry a game, especially against a team like Vitality that you would expect that should happen. [00:26:24] Speaker B: Right. [00:26:25] Speaker A: Also, Merwin just completely fell apart. [00:26:27] Speaker B: Like he didn't. Merwin. Yeah. Merwin is kind of the, the. I don't want to say the niche picks, but like the stuff that he's known for kind of, you know, has shifted into other roles at this point. And when he's not able to pick stuff like that because it needs to get priority filled into like mid lane or bot lane, like that makes it a little more difficult too. Especially when you're playing like a fearless. I mean that's something else to look into too. I. They have the. They have a perfect opportunity to bounce back this week, go to. Oh and just. Just make all of her points just like, okay, maybe they just need, you know, that first week. [00:27:08] Speaker A: That's like the flip side of them going 03 is that they were against arguably the three best teams. I know Vitality's got a big asterisk there based on expectations with Fiesta coming in for Humanoid. But like, if you look at what they did in spring, they were undefeated in regular season. They were like a really heavy favorite. Or were they undefeated? Maybe they lost one series. Either way, they were like, really? [00:27:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:27:28] Speaker A: Strong coming into playoffs and then they bombed out spectacularly. So that's a big, like cope for MCO fans and expectations for the rest of how summer could go. They could go undefeated the rest of summer. Yeah, just. Just kind of a tough start for McCoy overall. [00:27:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:27:47] Speaker A: I think also Shadow Carzy had a fantastic series versus MCO3 games. He averaged 1,258 damage per minute. He averaged over 1,000, which already over 1,000 for. [00:28:01] Speaker B: Which is pretty good. [00:28:02] Speaker A: Pretty impressive. [00:28:02] Speaker B: Which is pretty good. [00:28:04] Speaker A: You average across all three games. [00:28:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:07] Speaker A: Car Z Giga popped off. One other fun series to talk about is the Casey versus G2 series. Oh, absolutely. Did we cover that yet? I don't think we. [00:28:16] Speaker B: No, no, no. We kind of have danced around it at this point. But like, we haven't actually talked about in depth like Casey either. I mean, we said that they're, you know, undefeated in front of the home crowd, everything like that. But like, like, yahoo. Looks good, dude. [00:28:32] Speaker A: Mages be dark. Looks good. I. Mages also are crazy. The G2 pulling out the spice, by the way of Taric in game three. [00:28:41] Speaker B: Yes. [00:28:42] Speaker A: Into the Camille. I mean it's exciting. I think it's cool. But we see that it's good in the lane. It doesn't really do like it can't follow the Camille like Tari doesn't do [00:28:53] Speaker B: you mean the character that thrives on when pressing a button and then three seconds later having your entire team be within a specific circle so that they can be invulnerable for X amount of time is bad against a character that all she needs to do is just click on you and that pushes your entire team out of that circle. Is it a good idea? Weird. Weird. Yeah. Huh. More at 11. No. But even then, I still think Skimon definitely had better performances than we've seen from him. I mean between EWC and MSI. Because MSI. MSI ski mind is something that will be in G2 fans nightmares for a long time at this point didn't glow [00:29:50] Speaker A: up from yeah first Danny looked like the best jungler in the first dad. [00:29:53] Speaker B: He was definitely, I would say the best jungler at the tournament. And then after that, in that middle period in the spring season, it was kind of. He was all right. But no, I. It's. It's fun seeing the. So I complain about mages, but at the same time I like the way the G2 implements it with how they play their games out normally just based on their flexibility that they have in drafts that ages back to when pike was, you know, a three way flex or four way flex or whatever it was back in. In 2019 when they actually won MSI. So it's great to see them back at a point where they change their coach, but they don't lose their identity. So if you. If you do what you did when you were the best and you feel like you can replicate it, it's. It's a really great thing. But at the same time, there are some moments, you know, craps. Craps makes an appearance everyone every once in a while the. The broke blade instead of bro. I don't know what we had to. I feel like we had to work shop names for all of them because all of them had their moments this weekend. The reforged blade, the. The busted blade. I don't know the balanced blade, the balance blade maybe because if he's broken [00:31:19] Speaker A: sometimes balance other times. So yeah, I. I think the big one for me and Casey vs. G2 during the wins it was solo laner stepping up. Kalis also had a great series, but like yahoo. It really impressed me in terms of how much he was able to just kind of gap caps. And then Kana also was able to hold back broken blade, where usually broken blade is like the one you got to worry about because he can just take over a game. And yeah, game two he did, but game one, he played a tank. Game two he played. I believe it was the Anivia top or did it was a Gallio top and Nivia mid. I'm blanking. [00:31:57] Speaker B: It was Galliotop and Nivia mid for game three. There we go. That was the. Because it was Anivia Galio and the Tarek game. [00:32:07] Speaker A: Yep, yep. Hansama. Because I. I like the idea of kind of holding Nivea. They first pick Anivia and then they can send it bot, but then they go Lucian Taric immediately afterwards. I would have liked if they had gone like jungle and then maybe support instead. Because like, if you know you're going tar to pair into the Camille, then you can just save your bot lane pick and pretend like it's Anivia Tarik bot lane or something like that. But giving away that, nope, they have an actual bot lane allowed Casey to then draft the Caitlyn that they wanted to go for later. Actually immediately following because they went like the Camille Cassiopeia, which there was this whole weird mind games happening in that game three draft. But it's a flexibility that they can send The Anivia really three different lanes for G2. But I just didn't love it in that top lane and Khan on the yone showed a little bit of why you can punish that. Okay, Any other big picture narratives from LEC weekend that you want to cover? Any. Any other stuff that's on your mind? The big narratives I had was MCO3 because that's surprising. And the KC3O in front of the French crowd. [00:33:23] Speaker B: That's awesome. [00:33:24] Speaker A: I still expect G2 to be the best scene by the end of summer. I don't think that. And nothing I saw this weekend convinced me otherwise. Just that Casey really shows up in front of the crowd. [00:33:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I. Yeah, I think that's pretty much the big storylines to take away from this point. I will reiterate it. It's week one. Don't overreact. [00:33:45] Speaker A: Yeah, true, true, true, true. Also, we usually give our recommendations of like, if you missed a series, which one to go back and watch. Highly recommend G2 versus Casey. That was my favorite series from the weekend and the one that had some of the best gameplay. [00:34:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:04] Speaker A: Unless you're a big G2 fan. In which case you don't want to watch caps go07 on Galio. [00:34:10] Speaker B: All right. Yeah. [00:34:11] Speaker A: With that said, let's talk about LEC next week and preview a little bit of what's to come because we have four weeks in a row of Giga super weeks. That is four days of series and games. It's gonna be Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. So if you like European League of Legends, well, you should be a happy camper because there's gonna be a lot of it coming up and that means that we're gonna have a lot more to react to as well as a lot more to pre. Let's get through this because we are pretty much aligned in all of our predictions. Sans one series. It's vitality versus team arch on Friday. We both have vitality taking this two zero and then McCoy versus shifters. We both have McCoy taking this. I'm surprised you have MCO dropping a game though. Is it just that you think that they're a little shaky after last? [00:34:58] Speaker B: I, I think the first series back they'll drop like they'll do the thing where they just drop a game two. Like they'll be really confident coming into game one, game two, they'll get overconfident in the like six minute to like 17 minute phase of the game. Kind of lose a little bit of an advantage, try and scrap it back, get within and then just eventually lose it at like the 33 minute mark. So. [00:35:19] Speaker A: Okay. [00:35:19] Speaker B: I mean SK's got a. SK surely can. Can hang with them after they can they had. No, no. God no. [00:35:30] Speaker A: See that's where I'm like I get where you're coming from. But choosing the SK series O, that's. That's a tough. [00:35:38] Speaker B: I. I like to live dangerously. Okay. That's, that's why I ended up last in the the. The LCS pickums for the people who met the. The plate appearances requirement despite me in percentage. [00:35:52] Speaker A: Yes, yes. It's also funny that I say that like oh against SK given the next series cuz Saturday starts with GX versus SK and this is the one that we split on. You actually have GX2O. I have SK2. One big reason for me is I think these teams are very close in skill right now. SK dropped their worst member and brought in slow queue. So leaders gone slow queues in. I don't know anything about slow queue but immediately when I see a change like that I'm like this should be better. Right. [00:36:22] Speaker B: Was on the level of hype as like Fiesta now that he's gone. Oh, and three in the lec. [00:36:30] Speaker A: Well, if that change your opinion in the leck, Fiesta did win a game. [00:36:36] Speaker B: That's true. That's right. They won one and two. Yeah, you're right. It's m Coy though. Okay. Fiesta looking the way he did after going one and two, which. Okay, admittedly it's not. That was not impressive. I'm not trying to sway your opinion. I'm just saying. [00:36:51] Speaker A: Let me put it this way. GX picked up Oscar Renan and flack it. Yeah. I have no faith in this team. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Counterpoint, who is GX's top laner in spring ring lot. Okay. [00:37:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:08] Speaker A: Okay. I suppose on paper this is. This is an upgrade. [00:37:13] Speaker B: I. [00:37:14] Speaker A: It's a bit of a coin flip for me. I didn't want to have us with the exact same. Maybe SK can take this one. [00:37:20] Speaker B: It feels like a very shocky week across the. Across the west. So. Yeah, no, I appreciate you falling on the sword on this one and I cannot wait to get this prediction wrong and we come back next week and [00:37:31] Speaker A: you just say, that'd be hilarious. [00:37:32] Speaker B: Serious? Absolutely. Absolutely. That's. That's just how it's gonna work out. [00:37:36] Speaker A: Yeah. Casey versus Navi is the next series. We both have KC2.0 despite Navi looking decent ish in spring. Do you think that there's a stronger argument for Navi? Are we disrespecting them? They're running back the same roster. They looked good at times. Reletch, you know, really hype jungler that we like to talk about in the lec. So is this disrespect or do you think that Casey are just that much better? [00:37:59] Speaker B: Better. I think Casey, you're that much better. I don't know what Navi's meta read is at this point too. It all just comes back to that. I sure. I. I mean, I like. I like the team. I. I mean I like Poby like Poby. Poby is my favorite player from Navi, besides for Lich, obviously. But I don't know if those two can hold up against Yike in the form that he had in Yahoo. Who might just be the best mid in the west at this point. [00:38:35] Speaker A: Dude, Yahoo looked so good last week. [00:38:37] Speaker B: Yahoo is so good. He's. He's as advertised from the beginning of the season. [00:38:42] Speaker A: So yeah, it took him some time to warm up to it. Yeah. Now, okay, Sunday games, you have SK versus G2. G2 takes this two zero. I almost put SK for this as well. Just because I was like, if G2 is going to throw a game. It would be against a like sk but I that doesn't I don't think it's a high enough chance. So I'm still going to predict G2. Then it's Fnatic versus McCoy. Now you claimed you threw up in your mouth a little bit when you saw this. [00:39:10] Speaker B: I I did in fact throw them in my mouth a little bit when I saw that Fanatic and McCoy are playing. [00:39:18] Speaker A: So what? Why are you dreading this series so much? [00:39:22] Speaker B: Because it's so hard to pick a winner at this point between these two teams because it just feels like both of them just I I mean MCO didn't make any moves but Fnatic also brought in what it was. It's the sober. Oh sober and top. I don't know if I'm ready to seat another I I I I I I I don't know what to expect from this FNATIC team. They could easily be the the eighth eighth place team in the LEC like and I don't know if if you know MCO with now Al Fari apparently as an assistant coach. I'm realizing this right now. Yep. [00:40:11] Speaker A: He hasn't killed anybody yet. [00:40:12] Speaker B: He hasn't killed anybody yet. That's impressive. It's Alari versus Odo is like in the assisting coaches spot. They both better be on st fist bump between the two of them at this point. But at the same time I I I don't know if Upset's still playing for KD like if he's if he's playing so that he can go 103 and lose 02 peacefully both games. Like I don't know what to expect. Like is he gonna just play Ziggs and farm bot lane for 24 minutes like we've been seeing out of some of these players or is he gonna like like pull a Silas out? Who knows what to expect from Fnatic at this point. [00:40:53] Speaker A: I feel like fanatics. A team that will not play the Mages bot. I imagine they're going to want to put upset on 80 carries like Ezreal, maybe even Tristana. Any of the AD carries that can counter or at least like Lane with some of those mages in the bot Lane and then the this series is going to hinge on Soro in the top lane. This is our first look at the new top laner coming in. We've heard from our LPL correspondents on the pod that he did not look good in the LPL and that expectations should be low. But Merwin also did not look good this past weekend. So maybe this is a good start for Sobero in terms of like toppling opponents in the lec. That's a lot of time spent though on a match that I doubt we will recommend people watch. But we both have MCO taking a 2:1. Next up on Monday, the final day of LEC. We got Navi versus Shifters. We both have Navi 2. One and then Casey versus Team Heritage. You have KC2O, I have KC2. [00:41:46] Speaker B: One. [00:41:47] Speaker A: I think by this point some of the steam will be lost from KC and Team Erdtix will be able to capitalize and get a win. I imagine like hype the new AD carry coming in. We'll get some kind of pop off moment and just go crazy. But with that said, I think most of it's just gonna be Casey will have been what now? This is a lot of series in a row for them. I guess they will have had Friday and Sunday off but this would be their fifth series in two weeks. So there's a lot of games to play. Okay, cool. There we go. That's LEC in a nutshell. The reactions from this past weekend as well as preview for next weekend. Let us know your thoughts if you think we're right. If we're crazy about any of our takes, of course in the community discord. Now let's hop over across the pond to the lcs, the North American League of Legends Championship series and talk about about our opening weekend for summer split. We had four series, so considerably less. And we will have half of the total series next weekend as LEC is going to be doing these back to back to back to back Giga super weeks. All right, Badger up first. Just tell me what were the series that happened this past weekend and who won the games in the LCS? [00:43:04] Speaker B: Yeah, so we started the weekend with lion vs Fly and lion wins 2 0. And then we got Sentinels vs Dignitas which I hear they're still fighting around. They're still posturing around. Barrett at this point still going. Let's say it's. It's weird. They. They pivoted the game into the freaks basement studio and just they're still jockeying for position. Four and a half days later about over over Baron in game three. Send wins. Send wins to the series. Two one over dignitary us. Day two starts with TL versus C9. Very very controversial topic. C9 was coming into the season. Oh, what's the seven man roster gonna be like? Doesn't matter. TL2O just as we. As we all expected, obviously. Obviously. And then finishing out, it was Shopify Rebellion 2. O over disguised, taking care of business. [00:44:06] Speaker A: Yarp. It was a weekend of, I would say some big narrative surprises. Because when you look at it from just a narrative perspective, C9 regular season, they were. They hadn't lost a regular season game all year. This was their first or not. Sorry. Game, not a series. They had not lost a regular season series all year. This is a big surprise from a narrative standpoint. Lions in don't have inspired in the jungle. What were they gonna look like? They don't have their primary shot collar narrative surprise that they're able to look this dominant. It wasn't just a win. It was like a pretty good win against Fly Quest. [00:44:45] Speaker B: Yes. [00:44:46] Speaker A: But then you look at it from a more critical lens and I think after the fact, it's easier to digest. Of course, it's always easier to like analyze after something happened, but then like realizing I think we should just didn't give enough credit to Lions carries. Their. Their solo Laners really stepped up. Berserker had a good series as well. Isles looked fantastic. He was all over the map. He was just. He literally was a jungler. Like his Camille game. Holy. He was mid lane. I think he. He went top lane three times in seven minutes in that first game. Insane. And then still hit level 6 before Cryogen did by like a full minute. [00:45:25] Speaker B: It was not nuts. [00:45:27] Speaker A: So that. That was just like, oh yeah. Armeo did not. He was not the. The training weight. So we expected. And then for C9, it was like, yeah, they're experimenting. They're figuring out what roster works. They played the same roster of Loki plus tactical both games, so they didn't really experiment in the series. But overall, their summer split is going to be a bit of an experiment. Team Liquid are coming in with momentum and also having just beaten C9 in spring playoffs, maybe. Yeah, this should have been more obvious than we expected. One of the bigger ones for me though was how good Shopify Rebellion looked. I actually thought that SR specifically Fudge in the top lane. Oh, Fudge had a great series and Zazel on the team. They just look so much more coordinated. I'm excited for what the Shopify can do with a support that will help create game plans. And every time I hear Zazel talk in an interview, it just makes me more conf in his ability to fix the mental of the team as well. What were your big takeaways though, from lcs? I just kind of rambled a Bunch of different teams and names and random stuff. So did you have like a favorite moment or a favorite series or a favorite game? [00:46:40] Speaker B: You know, it's. It's weird to think about because, like, I mean, I think the big takeaway at this point, like you were saying earlier, is the rest of lion without inspired how well they performed. I mean, the team did just finish third at msi. Like we, we kind of expect strong performances coming out, but we didn't give enough credit to the rest of the team. And I think the C9 experiment just. Okay, we saw Loki, we saw tactical. It didn't go well. Are they. Are we gonna see APA and ZVEN back next week? It did, did the show match between CLG and TSM takes event away from C9 for the week. Oh, let me put my, Let me put my tinfoil hat on and be like, Sven was playing League classic so he couldn't show up. So that's why we got Tactical for both games. But I feel like this was pre arranged, like, okay, Loki, Tactical, you guys play week one and then if we need to pivot it, APA and Sven can play week two. [00:47:51] Speaker A: Yeah, I think that a bigger factor for the loss was not the roster they chose. I think that a lot of people are going to be like, oh, the experiment for this roster didn't work. Let's switch up the roster. And I anticipate that will happen next weekend. But the bigger thing is I don't think that Dom drafted very well. [00:48:13] Speaker B: No. What do you mean? [00:48:15] Speaker A: One? What the hell are you doing? [00:48:18] Speaker B: That's. [00:48:19] Speaker A: That's quid on the other side. He's like the melee assassin specialist in N A. And you're just giving him Lock game one. And we saw exactly why you shouldn't do that. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Right? Yeah, Lockhad, I'm pretty sure he had 100 pick ban or. No, he had 100 ban rate outside of caps playing at game one in Europe and then the Quid game that we saw. Yeah, yeah, the character's pretty good. He. I was looking it up before. He has a 60% win rate globally at this point and he's only been in the, in the game for like what, a month and a half at this point? [00:49:02] Speaker A: Yep. Not even, I think it's been like one month. [00:49:06] Speaker B: Yeah. So like in all of the summer seasons between like Casper cup and all of the other regions starting up, he's at a 60% win rate. Pretty good, actually. [00:49:15] Speaker A: Lower than I would expect. [00:49:16] Speaker B: Yes. I, I mean it's also over the course of like 50 games so like you have to kind of factor that in as well. [00:49:23] Speaker A: But sure, but it is still a very, very powerful individual champion and if he gets to going he does not slow down. I believe he went like 10 and one or something in that game one incredible performance and then game two. Very impressed with Core JJ and his creativity of finding engages Team liquid just red C9 like of a bunch book. Every time C9 was like trying to hover like bod side to be like oh they're going to dive the victor so let's hover. And then Team Liquid's like well we're just going to engage on the support and Jungler that are like hovering that instead of going under the turret and then win that fight. And there were a lot of instances where I just felt that Team Liquid had clear game plans, clear calls of what they wanted to do and C9 were still trying to freestyle and figure out what they were doing. Part of that in game is about about the the composition of the roster. And again this is an experiment. We expect to be to have changes going up next weekend, if not for the next couple of weekends. But also just draft wise they didn't really give themselves the best tools. I'll say. I, I like the mage's bot lane when a support can roam around, but I don't love Bard with double mages. I feel like you don't have have a lot of like upfront bursts. I know that rise can get bursty but like if you hit somebody with that old early game you don't have damage to actually kill the person like and look for those picks. Whereas Team Liquid, their composition's a little more like Bursty. When Rel goes in you have a Syndra and a Corky behind it to just blow something up. So I was actually happier that they opted back towards one of those ad carries. And any AD carry that has mobility like Tristana, like Corki, like Ezreal, they can hold their own in these mage lanes just fine. So I feel like those are the types of AD carries that we're going to see coming back into the meta now. That's a lot of Team Liquid C9 actually I guess we've kind of talked about all of them now. We've talked about Fly lion and the surprise of lion being able to win it. What did you think about Fly Quest? I guess that's one thing that we haven't mentioned yet is Fly Quest. We're coming into the split. I very publicly on the pre show demanded that they change my end of Summer regular season power rankings at FlyQuest first because I thought that they would have a lot of opportunity with lion not having inspired to win early and then they would have good matchups versus C9 and TL later. They would still lose to the line eventually in playoffs, but I thought that they would go undefeated in. In summer split regular season. Immediately the wheels fall off happen. But before I get my thoughts, what are your thoughts overall on Fly Quest right now and your first impression of them? [00:52:06] Speaker B: I. I appreciate the fact that they played without fear in their series against Lion. They weren't scared to take scraps that they felt were necessary did mean they were winning those scraps. But at the same time it's still, they're still the youngest roster roster by far in the lcs. Right? Even with all of the like roster changes like Dennis Thor into Dignitas. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. Another 100 they would be. I never felt like FlyQuest was a team that was positioned to be like the, the, the best team in the LCS this year. I mean they've, they've played well. Like as a team, they, they've played well up to this point, but like they're still sitting at probably fourth best in the LCS right now. It. It feels like this year is a, a launchpad for next year when everyone's got a year of competitive experience under their belt. Ghos is playing full time. Crowdgen has a full year. MASU and Quad just keep getting those years of experience under their belt. And I mean, Griffin gets tier one experience then too. So like just building up to it. But maybe, maybe lion just had a really good plan. Like, okay, we have sub Jungler. They didn't have as much tape on them of how they're gonna play with a different Jungler. Because like you think it's a buff [00:53:38] Speaker A: that they had on Mayo. Because I think what's supposed to expect. [00:53:41] Speaker B: I mean, to quote Cutie Pie, how the are you? How the is your enemy supposed to know what you're doing when you don't even know what you're doing at that point? Right? [00:53:49] Speaker A: So true. It's a classic. [00:53:51] Speaker B: It is a classic. Yeah. I just think it's very, very likely that they're contending for a world spot just given the state of how the teams are in the rest of the league. But again, it's week one. I'm not going to overreact to it. I think this team is strong enough that they can give C9 a good fight. But between like lion and TL, I think they're just, just, just a step behind. [00:54:17] Speaker A: I think that Fly Quest is the type of team that is begging the balance team to nerf the hell out of Mage's bot. I don't think that this team is going to do well in this meta. Masu played Ziggs and Silas didn't look very convincing on either. I think a Silas game was a little better, but a Zig's game was pretty atrocious. I don't love Cryogen in this current meta either, where the whole thing is le your ad carry and get around the map. Now this is a small sample size. Maybe my opinion has changed in future series, but Isles just out rotated the hell out of Cryogen. It was not even close. Again, three ganks top lane before seven minutes. Isles was in lane like maybe 5% of his time. And then he still hits level six a minute before cryo. And Cryogen was always on the the reactionary roams, never on the proactive rooms. That's not a great look. And then also Geckos. He, he, he was weirdly indecisive in certain moments. I love him on his like carry picks. Like, the Olaf was a fun choice. But then you watch what happens in like the one Baron fight where they're in the pit and then he doesn't have Flash and he's stuck in there with Cryogen and the cryogen, like Rell jumps out of there and then he's stuck alone, alone. And then everyone from line kind of ignores him and goes to fight in the river instead. He stays in the pit. Like, I remember watching it live and being like, what? Why is he just standing there? Like, Gakos was just tanking Baron, not hitting Baron, standing still, waiting for a moment to go in. And I was like, okay, he's gonna, he's gonna go in now, right? And then when he decides to go and it's when he's already lost his jungler and quad's like about to die and it's like, like, you, you missed the window, dude. Like, the window to go in was three seconds before this. And then he goes in and dies himself. And it was just like. That was a weird moment. And I watch it back and I was less impressed the second time watching it actually like dissecting what was going on. So little moments like that for Fly Quest, I'm like, this is a team that does not like this format. Does not like this meadow wants it to go back to what it was before. That's my hunch. It's a hunch. I Again, I'm not in reviews, I'm not in scrims. Maybe they look better, better in different series and maybe they'll look better in future series. But from this small sample size, those two games, they didn't look comfortable. They looked a little rattled. So. And then Sentinel's dig, we kind of touched on it a little bit. Don't need to go watch that. It was Sentinels winning 90 of the games. Dignitas won the 10 of the last bit of game one that got them a game win. But Sentinels was beating them up and kind of playing with their food for a lot of it and none of it felt like fantastic League of Legends. But we did narrative wise get one payoff of about 10 minutes of Palafox Summer. So shout out Palfox and Palafox Summer game one. I asked, I requested a graphic to be made because I was like, you know what, I, I'm going to make a bold claim and I'll back this up on broadcast just so we have a narrative about Dignitas. I think Palafox is going to have a turnaround summer and he's actually going to look really good. I thought he looked great in lock in in. I think he looked okay in spring despite the fact that he was struggling a little more than he didn't lock in. But I thought he was going to. With a new top laner and Denethor debut which I guess we haven't really touched on, I thought Palafox was going to look much better. He looked much better in game one, not as good in game two and the game three. He looked kind of rough but we had like old graphic that popped up that was like pal summer and that was fun. So maybe we bring that back in future weeks, maybe not. [00:57:59] Speaker B: We'll see what happens. [00:57:59] Speaker A: Happens Denor though. Do you have any opinions on Denor? If not I, I can take this one as well. [00:58:06] Speaker B: I nothing overly, you know. Yeah, go ahead, go with your go. [00:58:13] Speaker A: I think in game I test he didn't look great but then what I really liked was his Pros episode. If you haven't checked out this last episode of Pros do it please. We had Zazel, Denethor and Serdi. So kind of the tier two Academy superstars essentially with like Denor being like the newest edition, Serdy being like one of the individually strongest performing tier 2 players in the league and then Zazel who's always been like one of the top supports. But Denor had a really honest kind of transparent line of thinking where he was like, yeah, I was just nervous, you know, it was, it was tough to transition back or like onto the LCS stage for the first time. He felt like by game two he was getting comfortable but he wasn't able to actually show us what he knows he's capable of. And I was like, I, I just like that level of honesty of it was nerves, you know, I, I, I he admitted he didn't play well, but he's like, I, I hope that I can get more comfortable on stage and that I can actually show up because he's a fun kid to, to root for. Pretty soft spoken, not a big personality, but he's capable of big plays. I hope we get to see those. Cool. That about does it for LCS reactions. Let's talk about predictions. Now we got C9 versus Dignitas to kick stuff. Oh my God, what a series, man. C920 for both of us. [00:59:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:59:38] Speaker A: Whoa, whoa. [00:59:41] Speaker B: Crazy, crazy prediction coming out of the both of us, dude. [00:59:44] Speaker A: Saturday could be an email. It's a DSG fly next. And unfortunately I, I've been a bit of a DSG believer. I think more so than a lot of folks. Maybe Mizell's a bigger DSG believer than I am, but I'm not convinced by this team right now and I love rookie players. NA players. I, I'm very worried about sad's development also in this format because again, it's like man, he was just starting to get more comfortable in laning phases. Welcome to Mage Meta. You know, good luck with your development, kid. You got to learn a whole new type of champion to play down there. Yeah, I think DSG is going to really struggle summer. So we both have Flight Quest to there. Then it gets a little more interesting. It's lion versus Shopify Rebellion. You have Lion 2. Oh, I have Lion 2 one. I think if Shopify play at the level that they did last weekend, I don't see it being a surprise for them to take a game. Fudge, if he plays like he did will body Dokla in lane. I know Dokla. It doesn't really matter because even if he's behind in lane, he will still perform in team fights. But Fudge was also performing in team fights. So if he just has a lead I think he can take take it. And then Zazel made B voice so much more stable in the bot lane. I'm excited to see what he's able to do against aisles because historically into your two Zazel would be able to hang with aisles. Now Isles has definitely improved being on this lion squad maybe that changes. But I think Shopify is good for one. Then it's Team Liquid Sentinels and we both have TL2O in pass splits. This would have been a more exciting one. I don't know know what to get excited about with the Sentinels roster. I feel like they smash the teams below them but then can still struggle to end games. Their game two was pretty fast against Dignitas but their game three I think took way longer than it needed to. And TL looks like dominant versus C9 so I see no worldwide. They shouldn't be able to 20 this one. Do you have any more insightful analysis for TL Sentinels or is that about it for you as well? [01:01:47] Speaker B: No, I think I. I think Sentinels are the gatekeepers to top four. So yeah, they're the ones that keep the top four in the top four and then the teams in the bottom four out of the top four. [01:02:00] Speaker A: So mark your calendars because I think one of the most impactful matches of the split will be Shopify Rebellion Sentinels. That match is going to be very, very interesting in terms of like is Sentinels going to maintain that fifth best in the region or will they finally drop to another team? When does that happen? I'm going to look ahead on the schedule. Shopify Sentinels Week 3 so we actually get it relatively soon. I think that's going to be a really big one. Really really big. Especially if Shopify look competitive versus lion because then that makes things very exciting for the following week. But that's it for LCS preview of week two as well as a review of week one. Yeah, yeah. And that's also going to do it for the episode. I feel like this was a, a very like game focused one just because we didn't have as much news to cover. It's rare that we get these opportunities to actually talk more about how the series went and our thoughts on them. But it's a nice little break from the crazy news weeks. Badger, if people wanted to leave a review for this game heavy narrative episode, how many stars would you recommend they leave? [01:03:07] Speaker B: I got nothing clever, so five stars. [01:03:11] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [01:03:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:03:12] Speaker A: Do you wanna. Do you wanna try it again? If I put you on the spot twice in a row, maybe, maybe the pressure will. [01:03:17] Speaker B: Maybe maybe if you give me. Maybe if you give me five chances, I'll give you five stars worth of. [01:03:23] Speaker A: That was pretty good. Hey, there we go. Pressure makes diamonds perfect. If you give us a five star review it really helps us out get noticed and continue to grow the podcast. And again, if we missed out, any topics that you wish we talked about, you know where to put, put it in the community, Discord. Let us know there. Also, Just come join the community. Come, come hop in. People talk during the games about their thoughts and, you know, love them or hate them. Duffy, the past host of the pod, is by far still way more active than I am in there. So if you want to go say hi to Duffy, make sure to join and say hi to him in there. But with that being said, that's gonna be it for this week's episode. Thank you so much for tuning in, everybody. Buddy, as you leave, just know that we love you and we'll see you next time. [01:04:11] Speaker B: Bye bye, everyone. [01:04:14] Speaker A: Oh, yes, Daddy.
