[00:00:12] Speaker A: Gets hit Kimmy kids a little too far here. He's gonna have to try and get himself out. Living O Tillery and the rest of [00:00:17] Speaker B: the shots of fire. [00:00:17] Speaker A: Zion is just killing the next Zion can eat single handedly win the game by game by game by game by [00:00:26] Speaker C: should be. [00:00:27] Speaker A: Oh my God. Stupid marches through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. I do not believe he just believe. I cannot understand this game. Unicorns of love. It wasn't a mutant. They're Nexus. Hello and welcome to episode 621 of the League Rundown. This is your 2026 Summer Split LEC and LCS week four review and week five preview. This episode is lovingly entitled Size of the Dog in the Fight. A lot of upsets this past weekend. We'll talk all about them. I'm your host, Kangas, and I'm joined by three esteemed co hosts. Up first we have, fresh out of the can, it's Badger. [00:01:26] Speaker B: Do you believe in miracles? Yes. [00:01:31] Speaker A: Miracles? Yes. Like Fnatic beating G2 in regular season. Is that what. Is that what you do? [00:01:36] Speaker B: There's a. There's another one we'll talk about here in a little bit and oh, maybe the best region in the world, you know. [00:01:42] Speaker A: Ah, yes, yes. See you have been waiting to talk about that one. We'll, we'll save it for later, but that'll be up during the news. Also joining us on this episode, we have. Oh wait, where's the soundboard? Oh, here it is. We have. And the Big Bickle Pickle. [00:01:55] Speaker C: You know, we wanted to have one more guest, but then we would have had one more than four and we can't do that out of respect for Jaden Daniels. [00:02:02] Speaker B: Oh, God damn it. That's so fucking right. [00:02:06] Speaker D: Out of respect or out of getting sued? [00:02:10] Speaker B: Yes. [00:02:11] Speaker A: Is this a sports reference? Is this, is this like a meat sports thing? Yeah, but I did laugh along in solidarity. Tldr. [00:02:18] Speaker B: Jamie Daniels, quarterback for the Washington Commanders, went to school at lsu, was mad that they gave his jersey number to some incoming freshmen because he won the Heisman. And now the Internet's just having a fucking field day with him. [00:02:33] Speaker A: Hey, free publicity for that freshman though, so that's cool. Yeah, we don't really have jersey numbers in esports, do we? I think like hundred thieves did that at one point. But we never really. [00:02:44] Speaker D: There's a reason why we don't have jersey numbers. Do you really want to see somebody walking around with number 69? [00:02:50] Speaker A: Hey, nice. Yeah, six, seven would have been really popular. Yeah, but it could have been a whole thing where it's like, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And then, like, if you're a sub, you get the six, you know, that seems pretty bad. [00:03:03] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:03:03] Speaker D: I don't know about that one. [00:03:04] Speaker A: Not that exciting. Yeah. Now that I actually said it out loud, but it's all right. You heard his voice. We also have. Joining us on this week's episode, it's Yanni. How's it going, Yanni? [00:03:11] Speaker D: It's going pretty well. I still don't have a proper intro yet, but that's okay. [00:03:15] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll get you there. Well, we got to go. Like, what rhymes with the Yanni? [00:03:23] Speaker D: Not a whole lot. [00:03:25] Speaker A: Bonnie. [00:03:26] Speaker C: There's your. [00:03:26] Speaker A: Do you know anybody named Bonnie? [00:03:28] Speaker D: No. No, I don't. [00:03:30] Speaker A: There's jewelry, Bonnie, from One Piece. I don't watch other. Like, actually. You don't watch One Piece. [00:03:36] Speaker D: It's really funny. I say I don't watch One Piece, but I actually did finish all of One Piece the other day. I watched a Tik Tok video that was about four minutes long, and it just played One Piece. [00:03:45] Speaker A: That's long for TikTok. [00:03:46] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. And it just paid. Played One Piece at an absolute. I don't know what speed it was, but it was the entirety of One Piece in four minutes. I. Goddamn thing. [00:03:57] Speaker A: Could you imagine the render of that video? That would take, like, an hour to render. [00:04:02] Speaker B: Just the. [00:04:02] Speaker A: The amount of footage. [00:04:04] Speaker D: Yeah, but I'm pretty. I'm pretty sure that was, like, half a million views on it, so it was worth it. [00:04:09] Speaker A: Okay. [00:04:10] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:04:11] Speaker A: Do you feel like you. You're caught up? [00:04:12] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:04:13] Speaker B: Do you know the lore? [00:04:15] Speaker A: How did you feel about the gear 5 transition? Did it live up to the hype? [00:04:18] Speaker D: Okay, I have. I did actually see that. I did have a friend show me. That [00:04:25] Speaker A: part was pretty cool. And I was like, okay, this is pretty fire, I'm not gonna lie. Oh, yeah. All right, well, hey, one piece aside, we're talking about League of Legends this week, but let's start off by talking about news around the horn up for some roster news happened this past week. This actually kind of breaking news as of, like, a day ago from our recording, A new positional coach has been picked up by Shopify. Rebellion grabbed a player or Nulu, AKA Selfie. A lot of people on the pod would probably recognize that name. Played for, like, H2K gaming, Misfits, Schalke, even, like, Cloud9 for a tiny period as a sub and, like, Starter and then Rogue most recently. Actually, I Think even vitality for a brief moment before he had like a [00:05:18] Speaker C: month long stin in vitalities mid lane. [00:05:21] Speaker B: If I'm remembering, he also is the player that H2K threads that they were going to take his mom's house. [00:05:26] Speaker D: Yes, yes. [00:05:27] Speaker A: Move your mothers. I don't remember that. Mothers. [00:05:32] Speaker B: Move your mothers crazy. Oh yeah, that's right. It was mym. It was move your mothers, meet your makers. [00:05:37] Speaker C: Is the team [00:05:40] Speaker D: after that? No, that was 2014. [00:05:42] Speaker B: 20. 2015. 2014. Somewhere in there. Yeah. Wow. [00:05:47] Speaker A: Pre. This is old. [00:05:48] Speaker B: Getting fully into this. [00:05:49] Speaker A: Yeah, that's crazy. Well, hey, he's back. I guess. He never even technically left because he. He was a player and then he took a stint as a coach. He coached for a Cloud9 Academy and then Cloud9, I believe both for just positional coaching. I don't remember him like listed on a coaching roster. So that would to me say that he was just working with a player. Now he's going to be working with Zinni. Thoughts on this move specifically? Just when it comes to Zinni as a player in North America and the promise. Badger, I want to hear from you and Bickle as well because I know that two of you were more excited about Zinni coming in. He has not lived up to the hype. Badger, what's your take on a positional coach hired for him? [00:06:28] Speaker B: I mean, just any extra resources that you can give to a player who's just very young into his career is. Is a good starting point. And as someone who's had as storied of a history as Selfie nor what he was like Nori there for a while. Yeah, I mean just having the extra resources available to a young player, very important. Good pickup by Shopify and we'll see how it plays out for the rest of the season. [00:06:57] Speaker A: Do you think that this fixes Zinni's woes? Bickle, because Zinni was somebody that we hyped up so much. I bought into the hype. A lot of people bought into the hype. I bought him and he's been, I think the worst mid laner in the league. I have Palafox in front of him in terms of performance. It's close after the past two weeks, but it's still like Zinni's really struggled. [00:07:23] Speaker C: Yeah, he's. He's been having a rough time overall, but we'll see how things turn around. Blake Badger said positional coaches will always be beneficial there. He still has that sky high potential that everybody could see. It's just there's been a problem as of late. [00:07:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:43] Speaker A: My opinion is, I think from what I've seen in game and what I've kind of glimpsed some of behind the scenes, I think it's a big communication issue and I don't know if having a positional coach is going to help out a player that's struggling with the language to click with the team. I, I feel like a language coach or like just a language, you know, interpreter would be better or a bilingual mid lane player or that. And I don't even see this. Like I know he has been playing fairly recently. I'm looking at leaguepedia. He was on the team in emea native for one month in 2024. That was the last time he was on any team and it was at the beginning of the year. So it's been essentially two full years of him not playing. I don't see this being a world where he comes in and like maybe replaces Zenny. That would be very surprising. I think it is like yeah, let's try and make Zenny work. The positive of that is the team is putting resources towards their import rather than just dropping him which a lot of people I'd also heard talking about like oh, do we just drop Zinni this early? Do we just admit that it's not working? [00:08:45] Speaker D: No, let him be your franchise player. Yeah, I think it's okay. [00:08:50] Speaker A: Which I agree with. [00:08:52] Speaker D: You want to make him your franchise player and you know, year one, if it doesn't necessarily work out, doesn't necessarily work out. That's okay. People, people forget that like you know, building teams and stuff like that is like a multi year process and you know, pick up a high prize mid laner like that. A young guy who you expect to have for most of his career to be your torch bearer for the team. It's okay if year one doesn't work out. Yeah, it sucks but it's okay. [00:09:20] Speaker C: Just as an example, it's not to this extent but year one quit on 100 Thieves was not great. Yeah, wasn't looking it. And now he's the best mid laner in the LCS pretty solidly year one [00:09:34] Speaker A: Saints even to an extent. He individually had some good plays but the team sucked and he was losing a lot and then look at that. They keep him around for another year, changed the entire roster around him and he's the best mid laner in the league. So top two. I mean the strong argument for quid still in front of him but I [00:09:52] Speaker B: mean it's quite insane and then there's a drop off. [00:09:55] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So I think Bickle, you put it the right way. We'll just kind of have to wait and see. [00:10:02] Speaker B: We'll, we'll. [00:10:02] Speaker A: We'll have to watch and see the effects. If there's going to be an immediate effect, they will have some time to get him accustomed to the team environment as positional coach. Because Shopify is not playing this weekend. That's going to be another kind of variety topic. The reminder. Reminder that the top four teams. Funny that Shopify is in there. It just like this was determined months ago. But Shopify is Now a top four team. After this past weekend, Shopify, C9 team, Liquid and lion are all going to Mexico City. Lion is hosting our own little LCS road trip down there. That's gonna be next weekend. Which means that this coming weekend is going to be the bottom four teams against each other and have insane playoff implications because pretty much we will have the playoffs set or at least the terms. The teams that will be able to make it into playoffs will be almost determined based on just this next weekend. There could be crazy upsets in the final week, but unlikely. And the pros are also taking over the broadcast. So shout out that if you didn't catch the announcements. We've been talking about this a lot on the broadcast this past weekend. Saturday we'll have a lot of guest pros, but Sunday they are the broadcast. There'll be some play by plays working with them, but outside of play by play role, specifically, players are going to be in every single role on the show. So that's gonna be. They're gonna be doing interviews, the analyst desk, color casting, but the between game segments, all that stuff. So it's gonna be a lot of fun. Who do you think, real quick, let's, let's throw pros out there. Who, who's on your wish list of pros that you want to see in a segment like that? I already know who they're gonna be so I can tell people at the end if they're. If their favorites are on for sure. You want core, jj. Okay. Yanni, what about you? [00:11:40] Speaker D: This is a tough one [00:11:43] Speaker A: because you can go by like legacy of the player, like I want quality of the player or like broadcast ability of the player. [00:11:49] Speaker D: You know, I want Berserker. He's fun. [00:11:51] Speaker A: You want Berserker because he's fun. Okay. And Bickle, what about you give me big dokes. Big dokes. Well, I'll have you know Bickle will be happy the other two of you will not. [00:12:01] Speaker B: We got. [00:12:03] Speaker A: We got Sven. We got Zazel. Zazel's been awesome to have on the broadcast lately. He's been so funny. [00:12:10] Speaker B: It's a very good choice. [00:12:12] Speaker A: He's just unhinged because he just. He knows he's not coming back next year or he has zero plans to. So he's just being super honest and transparent, like saying whatever he wants. Really funny. And now I'm blanking on the last player. It's somebody from Team Liquid. I think it's Jose. I think we got Jose. [00:12:29] Speaker B: Yeah, Jose Deodo would be really good at that too. [00:12:32] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure that's. That's who we got. And then for Casters, there's gonna be a couple players doing that as well, but I don't remember offhand, but that'll be fun. Keep your eyes on this weekend because we're gonna have some very un broadcast. Whether they pull it off and actually do well, it's gonna be like Sven kind of quasi hosting because he has the most experience on broadcast. So whether it goes well or crashing Burns, either way, it's gonna be fun. Cool. Other variety. Oh, sorry, what was that? [00:12:59] Speaker B: I said there's one way to find out. [00:13:01] Speaker A: One way to find out. Yeah. Other variety topics. We talked about this a little bit bickle last week, but I want to Hear the other 2 thoughts on it because we didn't get their thoughts now that it is confirmed. So, Yanni, I'm gonna set you up first. Caps officially in the hall of Legends. Keep it short if you can, because we already talked about this a lot last week, but now that's official. What are your thoughts on Caps being inducted as the third member? And then also just hall of Legends in general, what it is currently very well deserved induction. [00:13:29] Speaker D: Caps just being the best western player of all time, really, I think that makes a lot of sense and I'm really happy for him and I think it's really cool. I think the champion choices could have been a little bit better, but that's another story for another time. Now, the hall of Legends in of itself, this really disappoints me, the direction that the hall of Legends has been taken, because I understand putting in Faker first even though he's still an active player. But this really. This really. Caps is not on the level of faker in terms of active player. I'm sorry, he's not. He's close, but he's not. He is not at that level. And by close, I mean close number wise. Like in the list. But when you took a. When you did, like, you know, if you were to even make an argument that Caps is like number two, which I don't think he is. The. The. The chasm between Caps and Faker is so large that we. We should have just gone for a retired player that, you know, had a legacy that really built the foundation of the game. I think of like a. A diamond procs. If you wanted to go for a player that played over in eu, I think like a madlife was also a guy that. That really made playing support cool. And yeah, I, I think that even, [00:14:47] Speaker A: like, there's a lot of. [00:14:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I think. I think players that had that sort of impact on the game should be in the hall of Legends. [00:14:55] Speaker A: Yeah, I, I think that. Actually, you know what, Badger, you go first. Before I summarize my point. I made a very similar point last week. It doesn't change much, but it would just be for the. The two of you. [00:15:04] Speaker B: I mean, I, I sat down after they did the. And I listed like 35 players that I think that should have made hall of Legends before Gabs. Not based on. Not based on merit alone because Caps genuinely is the best western player at this point. But it's just there's so many names that have shaped the foundation of how league is both played and how popular it became over the course of the last 15 years that just aren't getting their flowers yet at this point. I mean, we've mentioned a couple at this point. Madlife, Mata, Weijiao. Every Wei Xiao is your favorite AD carries. Favorite AD carry, Rapid star ambition, an incredible player in two different roles, score one of the greatest captains that the east has ever seen at this point. I mean, you've got Nougery, you've got Khan, you've got Marin, you've got all of these players that have been, well, deserving of the accolades of this. But I'm not gonna fault like a player like Caps for having this happen. It just all boils down to the fact that hall of Legends is flawed at this point, that we're literally doing one player a year. [00:16:14] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:16:15] Speaker B: Why? [00:16:16] Speaker A: So. So I think that there were two ways that they could have kind of fixed it in a way is one, don't try and draw comparisons to hall of Fames, which was kind of the initial thing when they announced this, because it's not a Hall of Fame anymore with the direction they've gone with Uzi and the now Caps. That's Uzi. Like, when you pick people that just haven't won worlds. I'm just gonna start with that. Like that's immediately. [00:16:45] Speaker D: I think he's a fine hall of fame player. Second up. [00:16:48] Speaker A: Yes, but this is totally a fine [00:16:50] Speaker D: induction into the hall of legends. [00:16:52] Speaker B: Yeah, it was all of them except it was easy. [00:16:55] Speaker A: But, but if you can only pick one person a year, I don't think it's Uzi in the second year and I don't think it's caps. [00:17:00] Speaker D: I think that's crazy. [00:17:02] Speaker A: I think that really. Yeah, I think you're that opinionated. [00:17:05] Speaker D: I think it's crazy that you wouldn't induct Uzi second because you have to remember if he didn't play against faker this guy is going to be a multi time world champion. He was easily the second best player [00:17:14] Speaker A: in the world behind faker. I mean that's, that's conjecture. I feel like so, so let me make the second point. Let me make the second point because I think that this is the, the one I would rather argue the first one was one that I'm less opinionated on. The second one I, I'm much more opinionated on. I think it was a mistake to only induct one per year. I think they should have done it like they do world skins. I understand using a more modern player to try and sell skins sell product but. And, and I think that's why we'll never get a player like, like, like Nuguri and stuff like that is like they're just not a big enough brand. They're not gonna sell skins. But what they could do is have that marquee a big title one to sell the skin and then induct three players at the same time or like five players at the same time. Kind of like world skins. You have one fancy skin and then everybody else gets the normal one. But there's just the one prestige one. Give the prestige to the title person. But then multiple people inducted at the same time. I feel like that would have been, it would have smoothed over a lot of the issues people have. [00:18:23] Speaker D: And you can fix this. You can fix this like next year, right? Because they could. [00:18:27] Speaker A: They could because, because there's two skins. [00:18:30] Speaker D: You know you've got the players like main skin and then their pocket pick. You could just swap that to induct like two players. You know, you don't even have to go with three at first. You could do two and then have your, your, your headliner be that main skin and the other, the other person that you're inducting be that skin that Comes in the pass. Like that works too. Like it's an. And it's an easy fix. [00:18:49] Speaker A: Yeah. I think that that builds it up to feel more like a Hall of Fame as opposed to right now. It feels like here's another excuse to sell skins and show your support for a very popular player, which I think is also a fine thing. I have no issue with that as like, as a product, but. [00:19:06] Speaker B: Right. [00:19:07] Speaker A: It's just not what I thought the hall of Legends was going to be, which was the point I also made last week is it's like in my head I just had to flip a switch and be like, no, it's. It's not the thing that I thought it was going to be. It's not what I wanted it to be. It's cool what it is, but it's. It's not the same. All right, cool. Well, happy, happy we got both your thoughts on that. Yeah, I mean, we can talk more about the Uzi conversation later, but for now there's a lot of other stuff to cover in terms of updates. We got LPL and lck. Let's give LPL update first. Yanni, there's a team that's qualified for Worlds, right? [00:19:42] Speaker D: Yes. Congratulations to Billy. Billy Gaming who has now been qualified for the World Championship. A team that we were talking about, a golden rolled potential team. Unfortunately they fell in the finals of msi. A couple of. A little bit of coming out of BLG is. Bin started last night. Bin played. Bin played last night against LGD back. [00:20:09] Speaker A: Now they're playing Bin still. [00:20:10] Speaker D: Ben did not look good in that first game at the start it was, it was very bad. Things were not great at the start, but BLG ended up coming away with a victory regardless. Yeah, that, that top lane is, is very interesting now and that roster is really interesting. So a couple of things about the roster itself. Wenbo has been moved to inactive. Wembo played most of the split, but Wembo actually can't play for the rest of the year because he broke his wrist. Whoa. Yeah, he. [00:20:40] Speaker A: Speaking of who. [00:20:41] Speaker D: During. Yeah, during, during travel, there was like raining one day and he was like running inside to like get out of the rain and he slipped and he fell and he broke his wrist. You know, he should be back by December, which is good because that's when Demacia cup is and that's when younger players like Wembo get a little bit more shine, a little bit more opportunity to play. I like the fact that Flandre is on this team even as a backup. I don't know how many games he's actually going to play, but I think he is the kind of guy that can keep Bin's head on straight and help him out in a quest to, you know, get this PLG team a world championship. So though I, I at the very [00:21:20] Speaker A: least go check for Ben because now Ben has to know, oh, they have like another top guy. [00:21:24] Speaker D: I got a world championship top laner behind me. [00:21:26] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:21:28] Speaker D: So I'm happy with that. I'll give a bit of a rundown of the standings currently. So our top three is blg, anyone's legend and top esports. Anyone's legend in top esports are currently both 9 and 3 with a game differential of plus 10 and plus 9. That's really important because the top two teams in the LPL get a buy into the playoffs. So they're going to be contesting for that. Top Esports and AL have very similar schedules. In fact, they play against very similar teams. They each get BLG before the end of the season. 4th, 5th and 6th JDG team, we and LGD. This JDG squad that was at first stand has kind of fallen apart. They're six and six. They subbed out Junjia for Xiaofeng for a game and Xiaofeng was not good in that game and they aim immediately went back to Junjia. Things have just not been really good there. They've been inconsistent. Their plus minus is literally zero. Team W e has been really exciting and has been much better in this split but lately has cooled off. This is a team I'd like to see in the fourth seed for worlds because I think they're fun, exciting and a little bit different. LGD is currently holding that six place spot and fighting with Thunder Talk to try and retain that six place spot. The difference between six and seven is that if you are seventh or eighth, you have to play in the play ins and then you immediately get seated into the lower bracket. So you only get one life. LGD, they're at minus 4 in game score. Thunder Talk is at minus 8 and LGD is 4 and 8 to Thunder Talks 3 and 9. So they should be safe. But it is possible that thundertalk takes them over. EDG is now one at 11. They got their first win. They two owed team we. They got their first win of the split. They won in 11. We almost had two winless teams because in group nirvana LNG went zero and six and their season is done. [00:23:31] Speaker A: Oh, that. Who, who are you? The lec? [00:23:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:36] Speaker D: Touching on the the rest of group Nirvana, Ninjas and Pajamas 50 Invictus Gaming 4 and 1. The Shy is back. So we'll we'll see this team at the There those guys are confirmed in. Weibo gaming finished at 2 and 4 which is crazy that the team of Zika, Shaohao, Shaohu, Elk and Moham is not playing a playoff series at all. That is kind of mind boggling to me. There is apparently one very specific scenario where Weibo Gaming can still be in the regional final, but it's got an infinitesimally small percentage chance to happen that it is likely that we have seen of Webo Gaming for this year. [00:24:19] Speaker A: That's crazy. What a fall off. [00:24:22] Speaker D: I'm lng versus Webo Gaming. I had to cast that game. It was at the start of the week. It was the toilet bowl. But it was so crazy to think that two years ago these teams were playing in the quarterfinals of the World Championship and now they are the the two bottom teams in the lpl. [00:24:40] Speaker B: Crazy how the times catch up with you, you know. [00:24:42] Speaker A: Yeah, times change. [00:24:44] Speaker D: Shahu has. We might need to take that boy out back. [00:24:47] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:24:48] Speaker A: Oh God. [00:24:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:51] Speaker A: Well before I share too much on that, let's give the LCK update next Badger, what's going on over in Korea? [00:24:59] Speaker B: We also have a team that is qualified for Worlds out of Korea. So congratulate Congratulations to Hanwha Life Esports, the reigning MSI champion stopping the Golden Road. All they needed to do was qualify for playoffs. Like playoffs proper, not the play ins part and they auto qualified to worlds. So Gen G, Honda, Life and T1 are all locked for playoffs at this point. The last confirmed spot comes down to the barn burner battle of D Plus, Kia and KT Rolster. D plays Gen G and KT plays T1 in a telecom war to end out the season. If D loses and KT wins, KT is the fourth confirmed team in the playoffs and D would have to play the play ins against the barn burner teams of Hanjin Brian, bnk, Ferx, Nong, Shim, Red Force and Wait wait are KESPA cup champions. The DN Supers are not gonna make playoffs. [00:26:20] Speaker A: That's crazy. [00:26:22] Speaker B: So if anyone missed it, the 10th place team, the DN Supers that we've been calling the DN Poopers because they have a 21 win rate in game score on the season and they are a minus 31 for the year one. The Casper Cup. [00:26:39] Speaker A: How does that even happen? So it was Casper Cup. The type of thing where they just put all the B roster in. [00:26:44] Speaker B: They normally. It's an off season thing. This year they did it mid season [00:26:50] Speaker A: two, which was ironically canceled. [00:26:54] Speaker B: Yeah. So there was a lot of effort that's normally put into it with the teams and it's a good chance for younger players to play and it gives everyone a chance to see rosters for the first time. But they did it in the middle of the season and as teams are like trying to prep for playoffs, like, you know, you're getting into the swing of things. You're not showing too much during this. So a lot of teams kind of. I don't want to say they mailed in the Casper cup, but like when you're a playoff team and you're prepping for playoffs and you're more focused on that, you don't really put the Casper cup prep in. Yeah. So it's not. But you know who can do that? A team that's eliminated from the playoffs. And that's what happened, baby. [00:27:39] Speaker A: Also, hey, what was the name of the episode? Not the size of the dog in the fight. Baby size the fight. The dog. The pooper's got that dog. [00:27:47] Speaker B: Coopers won in the finals 30 over Nong Shim Red Force. [00:27:53] Speaker A: Oh my God. [00:27:54] Speaker B: It was a clean sweep in the final. They beat T1 like 3:1, I think in the semis. I don't know. I kind of stopped paying attention. [00:28:02] Speaker A: I'm like, you know what? [00:28:04] Speaker B: We'll see what happens with this. [00:28:06] Speaker C: So it was something because to qualify for playoffs, they needed to beat Gen G. And this wasn't Gen G's Academy team. [00:28:17] Speaker B: It was proper Gen G that was [00:28:19] Speaker C: proper Gen G that they beat. Then in round one of the playoffs, they had to beat Hanwha Life. Now was this the actual Hanwha Life team? No, this was Hanwha Life Academy. [00:28:31] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:28:32] Speaker C: They three owed them. Then they played T1. It was T1 Academy. They. Three of them. [00:28:37] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:37] Speaker C: I mean, three one. [00:28:38] Speaker A: Okay. [00:28:39] Speaker C: And then they played Nongshim in the finals. Three owed them. But that was the actual non shin roster. [00:28:46] Speaker A: So, man, imagine if this team never played a regular season game and only played these side tournaments. They'd be the best team in the world. That's kind of nuts. Well, unfortunately, they cannot do that. So they're idle Sharpens. [00:28:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:00] Speaker A: Funny story, though. Funny reality that we live in, but the best timeline. I love it when the worst place team wins the tournament. That. That's. That's great. That's it for news around the Horn, though, I believe we finally got through it all. It was definitely a meaty news week this past week, at least in terms of getting updates for everything. But that's going to get more and more common as more and more teams qualify for Worlds. We're going to have more updates as things go on. And badger just to confirm LCK playoffs. They start next week, right? [00:29:28] Speaker B: Start next week. We are in the last waning days of the LCK regular season. [00:29:34] Speaker A: That is shocking. Yanni, when do LPL playoffs start? [00:29:37] Speaker D: Oh, I actually had this. [00:29:40] Speaker A: Is it like two weeks, three weeks? [00:29:42] Speaker D: Okay, so the Grand Finals will start on the 28th. That's what they call it. It's not like the actual, you know, finals. Right then and there. They'll start on the 28th with Knights Road. I believe Knights Road is going to be the two best of fives on the same day. [00:29:59] Speaker A: And then is that playoffs? Yeah, and then Saturday sounds so weird. [00:30:07] Speaker D: Yeah. And then. And then Saturday is when we start and we. We Saturday the 29th and we run it until the 13th of September, which will be our. [00:30:17] Speaker A: So a little, little over a week for lpl, a week for lck, two weeks for lec, three weeks for lcs. We're going to get very out of sync here, but we'll try and keep on top of it as best we can. So that way you, the listeners, will also know what's going on. Speaking of, shout out to every listener that has joined the community Discord already. If you have not, there's a link in the description wherever you are listening. Let us know if there are any news topics that we did not cover that you wish we had. We'll try and get to them next week. Also, shout out to anybody who supports the podcast, either through the Patreon or through our Merch shop. Links to both of those are also down in the description. But with that being said, let's hop into the episode proper and talk about LCS and lec. We're gonna go in that order this week and based on the episode title, you'll kind of get a feel for how things went this past weekend. A lot of games did go according to plan, but a lot did not. Let's talk with LCS first. Yanni, give me the rundown here. Just in terms of standings, first place to last, how are the teams currently shaken up? [00:31:17] Speaker D: Yeah, so currently over in the LCS we have Team Liquid, the only undefeated team, sitting at 4 and 080 a game score. They have literally not dropped a game, which is hella impressive. And then we got a bit of a log jam coming up here. So a three way tie for second place between Cloud 9 Lion and Shopify Rebellion. Each team is sitting at 3 and 1. Currently lion have a better game score. They are 72 compared to the 6 and 4 of Cloud 9 and Shopify Rebellion. Sitting in the middle is sentinels at 2 and 2, 5 and 6 overall. And then down near the bottom a big surprise has been Fly Quest who have had a tough schedule but have not been able to convert and even some game wins. They're sitting at 1 and 3 but 2 and 6 in game score which has been very disappointing. [00:32:03] Speaker A: And then at the bottom or get two zero. [00:32:05] Speaker D: Yeah, exactly. the bottom of the barrel we have Dignitas and disguise. Both sing at 04 dignitas 3 and 8 in game score disguised have just a singular game winning win. [00:32:15] Speaker A: Dude, Dignitas game ones are some of the most terrifying things. You gotta respect their game one ability to win games. Then you can disrespect them the rest of the series because they will just fall apart. But yeah, Badger Team Liquid, this is. These are your boys. Are you still a boy in blue? Do you, do you claim them as your team? [00:32:31] Speaker B: Absolutely. You know I, they, they're always going to be my team. I, I'll support them to the bitter end. [00:32:38] Speaker A: Are you sitting on the chair currently? [00:32:40] Speaker B: Still sitting on the chair. [00:32:42] Speaker A: Nice. All right. That's how you know it's a real fan right there. Well, they looked fantastic this past weekend. A swift two zero beating onto DSG and I think that they, they did. And dsg, they're the worst team in the league right now. I don't have a lot of faith in them going forward. [00:32:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:59] Speaker A: But Team Liquid, you know man, this [00:33:03] Speaker B: take care of business, that's all that matters, you know. [00:33:05] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:33:06] Speaker B: It doesn't matter who's on the other side of the server from. You still have to play and you still have to win these games and by God they took care of business. [00:33:13] Speaker A: So if you're gonna have a first place team versus a last place team, this is what you want it to look like is you want it to look like pretty one sided here. [00:33:21] Speaker B: Looks like DN Supers versus T1 Academy. [00:33:24] Speaker A: Yeah. The one thing for DSG is still serdy. I still feel like Serdi individually it feels like the exact same DSG where you. They replaced Castle. They got Serdi and it's the same team. It's like their top lane will have a 500 to 1,000 gold lead and Everybody else is losing and they got to figure out some way to make it. So S' Jed and Lions don't leave Lane down 5k. Like, it is crazy how much in the hole those two are, every single laning phase. And I kind of want to do, like a deeper dive at some point and like, really break down there just first 10 minutes of every game and identify the problem. Like, what the hell is going on? It's hard to know who's inting more between the two. My gut says it's Lions and that Sajed is kind of just the rookie who's getting kind of dragged along behind the burning wagon. But Lions is the one with the gasoline. And yeah, I do not have a lot of faith in this team. Not even like, going into the rest of the year, but, like, they got to defend their spot. They have the guest spot in the lcs. There's a lot of teams in tier two. Yanni, do you have your polls on tier two competition right now? Do you have, like, an opinion on any teams that might have a. Have the opportunity to step up and beat Disguised or do you feel like disguised might still just be able to win it by default? Just through, I don't know, sheer force of will at this point, I guess. [00:34:50] Speaker D: I mean, this. [00:34:51] Speaker C: This. [00:34:53] Speaker D: This NRG squad looks. Looks like they're. They're doing a really. [00:34:57] Speaker A: Yeah, that's one with like speaker and [00:35:02] Speaker D: five mini sushi speaker and speaker support, right? [00:35:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:06] Speaker D: Yeah, that's. That's what a really, really good team. I mean, Kisno. Kisno is a guy that we think is going to be a. I mean, [00:35:13] Speaker B: they sound all right, you know, a. [00:35:15] Speaker D: A potential next up. Obviously he was a temp sub for Disguised. This is. This. That's a team that I would certainly be hanging my hat on as one of the ones that go challenge. This Cupid esports team that is doing pretty well also is who've made it to round two already in the playoffs, who defeated Conviction. It's also a pretty good squad of recognizable names. We have Hoarder, Music Ablaze, Olive, Mobility, and Breezy. Hoarder is a guy who has been pretty much lighting tier 2 on fire since the moment he got in. Along with some other recognizable names. Those are kind of the two teams that I'd really be looking out for to do some damage. [00:35:56] Speaker A: Okay, well, hey, they're all going to be hungry. And DSG look very fallible right now. So, yeah, I think dsg, they need to be looking at this next weekend to at least have the goal of showing signs of life because by God, dude, they need to find signs of life. [00:36:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:15] Speaker A: Next up was Dig versus Shopify on Saturday's broadcast. And this one actually was kind of banger. This was the ultimate grudge match bowl part three, as we've been calling it on the broadcast, because Palafox versus some of his old teammates. Kind of the big marquee matchup there. But then also Dardoch is in newer edition. Same with Zazel and Shopify. Got it done. 2 and 1. Let's go, baby. Shopify, a top four team, definitively don't mind the fact that they've only beaten Sentinels Dig in disguise. [00:36:47] Speaker B: The teams, hey, don't give extra. [00:36:49] Speaker A: They're. [00:36:50] Speaker B: They're towards the top of the standings. This is what we've been. We. We've been praying for times like these, you know, dude, this is so good [00:36:57] Speaker A: for our stocks on the podcast. I will not lie. Because, man, you tell me. [00:37:02] Speaker B: You tell. You tell Raz in that next LCS meeting that we. We were. We weren't wrong. We were just early to the party. [00:37:10] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:37:11] Speaker C: Just show everybody the Zinny Silas game on repeat and they'll think he's the best player in the world. [00:37:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I was about to show him that game in particular, and everyone will be like, is this guy the best, like, player in the region? [00:37:23] Speaker A: Like, dude, that was a bit zinny. Oh, well, you know, I'll give him enough. That was a lot Zenny, but I think it was more draft. Like, oh, my God, he gets Silas into Alistair Gnar. [00:37:35] Speaker C: You mean you should pick Alistair when the Silas is showing already? [00:37:40] Speaker A: I don't think so. Yeah, it was even like a counter break into them. They locked in Alistair and it was like, oh, oh, no. [00:37:48] Speaker B: I mean, they might just be under the thought process that I've heard coaches say this in the past, and I. And I've had arguments with people in the past about it where they say, say Silas alts don't matter. To which I say, well, then what's the point of his kid? Like, yeah, if you're gonna give him, oh, hey, we're just gonna give him 60 damage reduction for free on a melee champion or, you know, Gnarl. We'll do it. Yeah, that sounds good. That's a great way to draft. [00:38:17] Speaker A: The only thing that would be worse is if Dig had also locked in Malphite. Then it's just inexcusable. [00:38:25] Speaker C: I think they wanted to, but they only had two picks left. [00:38:28] Speaker B: I think we can't Give them all the good ultimates. What are we doing? [00:38:31] Speaker A: Dardoch though still rocking an 80% first blood participation rate in four out of five games he's played in the LCS. He's been a participant of first blood. He is definitely changing the tempo of Dignitas. This was a team that like they would sometimes when XY was on the roster make early invades but they always went poorly and actually would always walk away behind because of it. Now they actually are making some earlier plays and getting leads for it. Like the Dignitas gold graphs look very different with Dardoch than they did with xu. So this is already signs of life for Dignitas. Unfortunately they still are.04 in series. I don't think they're making playoffs. But Dardoch is revitalizing the team and I think that Dardoch is the type of player Dignitas should be. You know, getting on their knees and praying please stay for next year. They only signed him for one year contract, but if they can keep Dardoch for a second year and build a roster around Dardoc. Because all the other players are pretty much out at the end of 2026, I'm pretty sure I was looking at like the contract database and I want to say I think it's everybody but Denethor is. Is out at the end of this year if I'm correct. Build around, build around Dardoch. Try and get the roster around Dardoch [00:39:42] Speaker B: because all things to be saying about a roster. [00:39:45] Speaker A: Right. [00:39:45] Speaker B: 2027, by the way. [00:39:47] Speaker A: It's like one of those graphs, you know where it's like the low ELO player, mid ELO player, high ELO player where it's like ah, like laning doesn't matter. No, Laney really matters. Yeah, Laney doesn't matter. [00:39:57] Speaker D: It's. [00:39:58] Speaker A: It's like that's the time period of Dardoch. It's like 20, 2016 is like yeah, get dark. Build a Ross around him next five years. No, don't do that. I know. Why would we build around this guy? He's toxic. [00:40:11] Speaker D: Build around Darth. He's great for a team. [00:40:14] Speaker A: Time's a flat circle. What can you say? All right, well Shopify got the window and show that they are a top four team going to the Mexico weekend. Kind of fun that we ended up in a world where it was the top four teams. I will again weird. It is weird, right? Asterisks though, because of who they beat. I will say strength of schedule had a big part of this With Fly Quests fall off though, there is a chance even if Shopify lose the next two series, they could end the split 6 and 3 or not 6 and 3. It'd be a 4 and 4 and 3, right? Yeah, yeah. In an A team region. But like all they would have to do is beat Fly Quest and they still guarantee that spot in playoffs. As of currently, I don't think they are a hundred percent locked because Sentinels made it really weird by beating Lion. We'll talk about that in a bit. But like high, high, high chance that Shopify still make it. It's like a 99 chance or something like that. [00:41:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:12] Speaker A: All right. Next day, the so this was Sunday's broadcast. It was C9 versus Fly Quest. And this one was like the setup for this going in was this is Flyquest really last chance to show that they can compete with the big dogs. Yes, they had a tough strength to schedule against TL and Lion. But then you could say, well, those are the two best teams in the region and Flyquest just wasn't able to step up to them. But as long as they can beat C9, they're still a top three team. Guys, what happened? Actually, Bickle, I'm throw this one to you. What happened here? I don't think Flyquest won this series. [00:41:44] Speaker C: It was a disappointment. [00:41:46] Speaker A: I don't think it was that close. [00:41:48] Speaker C: Everyone was so excited, like, okay, can Fly Quest step up against Cloud9? Give us a real competition for this third seed? The answer is no. [00:41:58] Speaker A: Like, no. [00:41:59] Speaker C: It's sad. I miss Spring Fly Quest when they really looked like they could take the fight to anybody and really be contenders and be that team that can fight for a world spot. Because right now it's just not, not they've. They've really fallen off a cliff and it's really disappointing. [00:42:18] Speaker A: Yeah, it just does not seem like this team is coordinated to take down teams that have side map plays Fly Quest. They can do well in their individual lanes. They can do okay when it comes to like just brute fighting at objectives. But the moment there's nothing on the map and it's just time to farm and not get picked. They just fall apart. Like man, the amount of times that they just die in a side lane when there's nothing up and it's like, okay, well you just lost a wave and a bunch of turret plates. There's actually a whole breakdown. I'm going to do this coming weekend on lcs. I teased this earlier in the episode and I will kind of break it down more. I'M going to do a In Defense of Geckos presentation because he is currently leading the league in ISO Deaths. He has 11 isolated deaths so far in four series played. Two of them were in this last series versus C9. And basically my presentation is going to be breaking down each one and kind of putting them into brackets of like, which ones were his fault, which ones were like turret dives, which ones were like, you know, just like one was at like a Nexus defense, right? Like his whole team's dead and he's the only one under Nexus turrets and he dies. That counts as an ISO death. That shouldn't really count, right? Like, I'm not gonna hold that against him. The game's already over. But the ones against C9, it was T or Thanatos is Jace hits him with a shock blast backs, comes to lane level three one, shots him with electrocute. This goes for a chase combo, and Geckos has Flash up. He's got everything. And he's just like, oh, he just dies. Just straight up gets electrocute, killed by Jace. And then the second death was four people diving him top lane in game number two. So this one, the second one's a little more excusable because it's like, yeah, that's tough. You're just getting giga focus in the side lane. But that first one, that is tough. And it just kind of summarized how Gakkas has been playing, which is, in my opinion, 7 out of his 11 isolated deaths have been his fault. And this was number seven from. From this past series. That's not a great place to be as a. As a rookie top laner who was kind of like really hyped up as a prospect to step up to the other big top laners. Players like Denis or now, I think are putting their name in contention for Rookie of the Year because that's a big conversation we're going to have to have coming into these last couple of weeks is. Is who wins Rookie of the Year. I don't think we have a front runner. I think in past years, we've had clear front runners. It was Loki and then before that it was Masu. Before that it was Yawn. Before that it was Jojo Pun. All of those, I think, were pretty obvious front runners. I don't think we have an obvious front runner. Like I. It would have been Gakos until this summer. Maybe Cryo Gin as well. But like Kryra Sajeda like it. Denisor is probably the best performing currently, which is crazy to think about. He's on the 04 Dignitas team. Yeah. Yeah. I want to hear some other thoughts. [00:45:15] Speaker D: By the way, he is a rookie. [00:45:18] Speaker A: Oh, true. I suppose. I suppose any would count towards that. But there's no way Cindy's winning Rookie of the Year. Unless Shopify, like, could do some crazy damage in Mexico if they like win their series and Zinni pops off. Then maybe. But [00:45:32] Speaker B: maybe. [00:45:33] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. I want to get other thoughts here. First off, there's been a lot of negative fly quests. I want to Talk positive of C9. Yeah, I'm gonna toss this one to you. Do you feel like C9 are going to be our third world steam? Because it kind of feels like that on my end. [00:45:48] Speaker D: You know, it was really funny going into the split. I was like, yeah, man, you know, I'm super excited for like Fly Quest to get the spot and be our third representative because whatever C9 is just doing is not working. And then they swapped out Apa and Sven and I was like, oh man, these guys must truly be desperate. And then all of a sudden things just started working for this team. Like they have come together super well. I think this meadow is pretty favorable to tactical of all players where there's not. [00:46:22] Speaker A: Dude, he's pulling out things like Kalista. [00:46:24] Speaker D: Yeah. A lot of pressure on his shoulders and now things are going to start to. [00:46:28] Speaker C: To. [00:46:29] Speaker D: To kind of skew that way because of the recent meta changes. So I am curious to see how he's going to perform the rest of the split. But yeah, I, I mean I really do think that this is the team that is going to finish third. I think that this was. That those changes were a big kick in the pants for the organization as a whole. That they determined that something needed to change and you know, maybe, just maybe we'll be able to get the Cloud nine of old as a team that. That North American fans can be happy that they're sending to an international. [00:46:58] Speaker A: I have a hot take. I think it was better for C9 that they lost week one to Team Liquid. The fact that they weren't undefeated and like dominating regular season is better for the team that now they can be like, okay, we're not cursed. We broke the curse by losing in the regular season. So now they can actually win in playoffs. It was a little concerning seeing them drop games to dig and disguise the bottom two teams. That was their last two opponents before FlyQuest. But then this dismantling of Fly Quest felt much better. They just outmatched them in the team fights and again the. The sideline Plays just constantly catching out members of FlyQuest. Lion vs Sentinels was the last game and oh boy, the whole conversation of Inspired is going to be back. Our Mayo was only subbing in for a bit. He's going to leave on a high note. Oh, wait, what's this? Global player contract database updated. ARMAO is still in for another week. Inspired is going to take another week off. Going to join the team in Mexico. And it was our male playing this past weekend. He was unfortunately not able to maintain the undefeated streak. In fact, Sentinels even take the series 2 to 1. And now Sentinels have put themselves back in the conversation for maybe being either you know, a playoff dark horse or potential worlds dark horse, even Bickle. I want to get your thoughts on this one. Lion losing with our Mayo finally happening, do you think this was inevitable? Do you think that this was like draft. What do you contribute to this, this loss? If we have Bickel. Oh, it looks like we do not have Bickle currently. Badger, I'm going to toss the same question to you then. [00:48:45] Speaker B: Can you repeat the question? Sorry. [00:48:47] Speaker A: Was this loss from lion inevitable? Like, do you feel like four in a row? [00:48:53] Speaker B: Like I'm trying to wrap my head around it because, like, at some point they had to lose. I mean, I guess it's good to do it while you have your substitute jungler. And I don't know, was. Is Inspired stateside right now or was he. [00:49:07] Speaker A: He will be by this weekend, so I assume currently he is. I don't think this past weekend. [00:49:12] Speaker B: Okay. Because I wasn't sure if like they were scrimming with him going into this. So that definitely changes the dynamics a bunch too. If like, hey, oh, we. We're splitting scrim time between our actual jungler and our sub jungler. Our actual jungler is just taking another week off. You know, had a long stretch between MSI and World cup and World cup. So I, I mean once they get to Mexico, I think the home crowd Buff is going to work out really well for him. Mexico City has always been a great environment to watch league games in. It's up there with like Paris for how much energy is brought to the arena. [00:49:55] Speaker A: And even though there's no Latin American players, like they're still going to be rally behind their team. [00:50:00] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, lion is an organization that has been rooted in like Mexico esports for, for a long time now. It feels like take. So they're gonna, they're gonna show up for the home team no matter what. [00:50:18] Speaker A: I agreed. Agreed. I think that lion are still gonna win this foot my team to take it. Once they get inspired back, I think it's gonna go back to what it was like in spring. Maybe there'll be like a couple hiccups but by the time playoffs are around, I think they'll have it back together. Team Liquid are gonna give them a lot of competition though, so. So we'll. We'll kind of see what happens in Mexico. That'll be our little teaser, I imagine for summer finals. But Sentinel's taking the win. Still really, really exciting for them. And I think that this team just continues to impress over and over when they lock in the most boring drafts like they put impact on a tank, give give Rahel an ad carry and just like, like a hyper scaling carry and just say, you know, know let's just play standard. [00:51:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:51:10] Speaker A: You know, let's just play the front to back and just kind of like this is League of Legends as David Free Turley intended. [00:51:17] Speaker B: We love Jenner Green Wings League of Legends. Let me tell you baby Glad playing jpeg. [00:51:24] Speaker C: The glad plane is back. [00:51:26] Speaker B: Sentinels is literally just gener like 2.0 with how they want to play these games. [00:51:32] Speaker D: Games. [00:51:32] Speaker B: Did they have the longest average game time of any team? This split? I feel I. I don't have that in front of me. [00:51:40] Speaker A: I feel like they have to have to wait. I should be able to find that information pretty fast for you. [00:51:45] Speaker B: Let me see Games of Legends of Legends team stats. [00:51:50] Speaker C: Okay. [00:51:50] Speaker A: Well, you know, rather than me doing it. They do okay. [00:51:53] Speaker C: They do. [00:51:53] Speaker A: Yep. [00:51:54] Speaker C: Only by a second, but they do. [00:51:57] Speaker B: Really? Oh, [00:52:00] Speaker C: actually this is only their game duration, so I don't know about their length of. Because I have a feeling they might get beat pretty quickly. [00:52:07] Speaker B: Yeah. If they're able to drag it out past a certain point that gets them into the area that they're like well drilled in. And I know teams in the past constantly were trying to simulate the late game team fight environment just so that you can have that like pressure off of your shoulders. Because once you get both teams like when you're winning, it's easy to play when you're ahead. But when both teams are six item ads junglers are all kitted out supports have, you know, maybe level 15. You know, it gets to a point where you have to play in environments like that, you don't see it very often and especially in today's day and age where if you play a game past like 35 minutes, that's an anomaly at this point. So we're not as well drilled in those practice Environments currently. So Sentinels just having an identity like that, where they want to play slow, they want to drag these games out, grind them out, can work out for them as we get closer and closer to playoffs. [00:53:14] Speaker A: I'm very curious what it's going to do in the long term for a player like Dark Wings because this is his sophomore year now and he's playing some of the most classic League of Legends in two years that had some of the least classic meta. If you think about last year, Lane swaps this year or at least at the beginning of the year Lane swaps this year it was like Mages bot Lane is like the newer thing and just so many crazy new champs coming out. It feels like we haven't had this stock standard version of League of Legends in quite a while. But Sentinels is still the team that's really leaning on that style and it's just interesting like a player like Dark Wings compared to a player like apa. First off, they're just very different in their champ pools and approach to the game anyway. But I feel like APA thrives more in that. Oh, just cause chaos and have no defined format or meta Dark Wings. I don't know, maybe he also would have excelled in that type of environment. But it's fun to see him excel in an environment where it is just. Just let's draft standard League of Legends, teach you fundamentals and he's going to go 8, 2 and 6 on Hue and just like Giga carry a game. Which it's awesome to see. It's just I feel like we haven't had an na mid Laner success story in a while. Like Jojo and then arguably Apa were our last ones. I think Dark Wings is going to add his name to that list as well here soon. [00:54:34] Speaker B: We love tutorial League of Legends. [00:54:36] Speaker A: Exactly. So for series to. For series to watch, I always like to recommend at least one I would give Dignitas versus Shopify Rebellion. It was fun. It was sloppy. It was a good old fashioned League of Legends. So go check that one out. The other ones kind of stompy. Unless you like watching lion lose their win streak and see Sentinels succeed. I think a big part of that. There was even an interview with Isles afterwards. He was just kind of the frustration of. I mean I can't really flame my jungler because he was subbing in and like there's really no point in giving him feedback because we're not going to keep playing with him. But like it's hard to win a game when Your jungler just gets of throws his life away in team fights. That third game with Shyvana, I believe it was Armao's first ever Shyvana career game. I think I saw that stat fly up on screen and it looked like his first ever career Shabana game. It was pretty rough, but that's gonna do it for last week's review. Let's talk about next week and get some predictions put on the table. We have the battle at the bottom. The bottom four teams matching up against each other. Each team will get two series on the weekend. Saturday will be Sentinels versus Fly versus Dig. I have Sentinels two owing Fly Quest. It looks like the cast disagrees with me. Yanni, if you want to throw your predictions in there, I don't currently see yours on there but Badger has fly quest2.1, Bickle has fly quest2.1 so I'm currently alone. Yanni, I'm waiting with baited breath to see if you'll join me or not. The reason I have Sentinel stake in it I think that Fly Quests have shown that they their strength is in making wacky fights work in their favor. But I don't think Sentinels are going to give them wacky fights. Like I think Sentinels just approach the game too standard and outside of maybe Impact losing Lane, I don't see like any of Fly Quests lanes being able to get a huge leg up over their Lane counterparts at Sentinel. So I actually think it's going to be a pretty nice series for Sentinel Sentinels. Bickle, I want to give you the opportunity to argue the Fly Quest side though. Why do you have Fly Quest taking this one? [00:56:42] Speaker C: Part of it's more wishful thinking of wanting to see Fly Quest bounce back. [00:56:47] Speaker A: But also you just want them to go to worlds. [00:56:49] Speaker C: Yeah, it's not even that. I just want to see them do better and kind of be able to turn the falling cart around. They're such a young team, they have such high potential. We've seen very high peaks from them before and if they're able to reignite that spark, I really think they can be competitive here and can win the series. It's just a matter of are they able to get back to where they used to be and I hope they can. [00:57:17] Speaker A: Yeah. I I also think that the league is better if FlyQuest is good. They just got to prove to me that they are because I've not seen the improvement. DSG vs Dig we're kind of aligned on Dignitas here. Two ones across the board for myself. Bigelan Yanni Badger put D I S G question mark which is a combination of all the letters. [00:57:40] Speaker B: Debating it this entire time. I'm going DSG21. [00:57:44] Speaker A: DSG21. Okay, so the only one crossing the line. The rest of us agree in Dignitas. I just think Dardoch is that much better. I really wanted Kryra to have a great success story. He comes in first game in the league, beats inspired and lion and then has done nothing since like literally he started on such a high and then has had such a big crash in the, the months since. I think Serdes really the only part of this team that feels like he's got it together. Even call me at this point has been really struggling in the mid lane to make anything happen. I think it's a bit of tilt, but also just this team is not well coordinated and they need a different support. Oh, like Lions. [00:58:29] Speaker B: Lions. [00:58:29] Speaker A: You watch his individual play and like his Bard. If I see Lions on Bard, I, I got, I gotta start dumping some stocks, you know. [00:58:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I mean I'm in the belief that at some point it's got a rebound because like, oh yeah, you [00:58:47] Speaker A: think that they'll go so far in the red that they'll like catapult them back up. [00:58:51] Speaker B: Right, right, right. At some point a team like this is just like, okay, hey, we're playing for our lives. We need to play well. And this is the bounce back, this is the chance for it to be a bounce back week for him because they have to win one of these games. Like if you lose to Dignitas and then you get smacked around by Sentinels the next day, you might as well just. Whoever wins the promotion tournament at that point between NRG Cupid, one of the other Tier 2 teams, you might as well just say here, you, you take the slot. You play the fucking last week because, because like it's not looking great for him. [00:59:27] Speaker A: It's. [00:59:27] Speaker B: It's looking really rough at that point. [00:59:30] Speaker A: Yeah, if you can't take down Dig, you're not going to take down really anybody. [00:59:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:59:35] Speaker A: But they got another match the next day at Sentinels vs DSG. We all have Sentinels 20 across the board. So even if some of us think that there's going to be some damage DSG can do to Dig, do not think that extends to the second day. Which means it ends with Dignitas versus Fly Quest. To close off the weekend, we have Fly Quest across the board. Two ones. Badger has a two zero. Man, I really want to put Dignitas. I'M telling you right now. I just. Something about me thinks that I. I'm gonna do it. [01:00:04] Speaker D: You know what? [01:00:05] Speaker A: I'm doing it. I'm doing it. I'm putting Dig two. [01:00:07] Speaker B: One. [01:00:08] Speaker A: I'm gonna say Fly Quest does not be going two. [01:00:10] Speaker D: Zero this week. [01:00:12] Speaker A: That's crazy. Who do they play in their last week? Let me look ahead a little bit here. Year the last week. Oh, they had Team Liquid. Okay. It's. I was gonna say maybe they sneak into playoffs now. It's kind of doomed if they got Team Liquid. Unless Fly Quest just completely bombs still. [01:00:29] Speaker D: I mean do we not. Do you not have Fly Quest completely bombing this week? [01:00:35] Speaker A: If. I mean I do have the bombing and then if. [01:00:37] Speaker D: Likewise to Shop and Dignitas going 2.0. [01:00:41] Speaker A: Actually even if FlyQuest beat Shopify, if they go O2 here and dig go 2.0, then dig would have the head to head. Dig would make it into playoffs instead of FlyQuest. [01:00:51] Speaker B: Wow. [01:00:52] Speaker A: There's no way, right? [01:00:54] Speaker D: There's no way that a. A two win team is gonna make playoffs. [01:00:59] Speaker A: No, it could. It could happen. [01:01:01] Speaker D: Yeah, I know but it's just. It's just. It's just. [01:01:04] Speaker A: It would be crazy. It'd be kind of disgusting. [01:01:06] Speaker D: We must play more games. Surely we cannot have a two win team making. [01:01:11] Speaker A: I'm gonna leave it because it's Spicy. I want FlyQuest to win. I think Dig actually have a chance. It's spicy. All right. Cool. There we go. That's LCS our expectations for next weekend as well as a review from the past weekend. Let's hop across the pond to talk lec. I did not, full disclosure, did not watch a lot of LEC this past weekend. In fact, the only series I was able to catch Fnatic versus G2, which giga banger. So I want to talk about that and then we can get sparked episodes from those who were able to catch it. At least some more of the games is kind of like what went on. What are the storylines happening right now? Pickle, I'm gonna toss this one over to you. Just give me the standings from top to bottom. Currently in the lec, who's in first, who's in last? [01:01:53] Speaker C: Sure thing. Over in the lec, we do have an undefeated team in K Corp at 70 in series 141 game score. G2 is behind them in second place at 6 and 2 in series followed by Vitality at 4 and 2. Then rounding out the top four we have Navi at 3 and 3. MCOI coming up in fifth at 3 and 4. Then we have a bit of a bundle with Fnatic and Giant X at 2 and 3 there, though Fnatic has one less game loss, so they're a bit ahead in the standings. SK at 2 and 4 and 8th team Heretics down in 9th at 1 and 4 and rounding out the bottom of the barrel. Oh, and five winless Shifters. [01:02:35] Speaker A: Ah, the last team to pick up a win. We are no longer mirrored with the LEC and the LCS each having two teams without a win. Shout out to Team Heretics for picking one up, but it is still looking like a top heavy league, Casey. Undefeated. The big story there. And then also G2 falling a little bit further down. 6 and 2. Guys, they had one series this past weekend. Actually. No, sorry. [01:03:01] Speaker B: They had. [01:03:01] Speaker A: They had two series. [01:03:01] Speaker B: They. [01:03:02] Speaker A: They had two series this past week, and it was against Shifters and Fanatic, two of the worst teams in the league. Surely they can win both of those, right? But what do you know? Fanatic. Get it done again, guys. I want to just start right there again. That's the one that I was able to watch this past weekend. And it's the funniest freaking story. How good Fnatic's win record is against G2 in just the regular season and then how ass it is when you've had playoffs. It's ridiculous. But it also kind of leads credence to the hype after week one and two where Fnatic was losing a bunch, but they were looking competitive to be like, ooh, is this team actually good? Can this team actually do some damage? And then now we're starting to see maybe they can. Maybe Fnatic actually is able to sneak their way back into the playoff conversation. Dare I say even world's conversation, they snuck in last year. They have the longest world's attendance record of any team in the world right now. Now. And this year they would break that streak if they're not able to make it. But who knows? Maybe they just like. Well, didn't we have a joke about G2 having, like, witches that they hired last year? Like German witches or something? [01:04:08] Speaker B: Yeah, about that. [01:04:10] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, the Etsy witches. [01:04:13] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:04:15] Speaker A: Those are the most effective ones. The American Etsy witches. Their. Their spells aren't as powerful as I know Etsy witches, so you got to respect them. I don't know what they sacrificed, but it's working. Currently 6 and 6 in game score, 2 and 3 in match score. They have a real chance of making it in. And I will say, Vladdy, just Giga gapped Caps the day that they gave caps as hall of Legends. Not like nod and like the big old celebration and then he just gets too old by flatty. Which was the funniest timeline. [01:04:45] Speaker B: Can we. Can we talk about sober row saying hall of Legends by the way, after killing Cavs. God, that was so. That was so good. [01:04:54] Speaker A: I think that's crazy by the way, [01:04:57] Speaker D: coming from a guy like sober. [01:05:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Who also is looking pretty good. Like he's had a lot of in moments. [01:05:05] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:05:06] Speaker A: But when he has a lead and he's able to actually run away with it, you can see like the. The hints of the potential of the player. [01:05:13] Speaker D: Yeah. This is something that you saw a lot in the lpl. The problem is he would just never [01:05:16] Speaker C: get of lot a lead. [01:05:18] Speaker D: He was just so abysmally bad and. [01:05:20] Speaker A: But the moment was his team when he was playing in the lpl. [01:05:23] Speaker D: I mean he was on this IG team. So he had replaced the shy on this team. But this team was like way a sober away rookie. Photic Joy, like Joy is a guy who has been a pretty okay support way obviously as has historically been a pretty good jungler. Is still solid right now. Now, you know, I think rookie is kind of like over the hill. So I didn't really have high expectations for this team. [01:05:51] Speaker A: But would you say he should name change to veteran? [01:05:54] Speaker D: He might need to name change to retired Sobro. Sobro was particularly poor. But when the moments he had where he wasn't getting completely ass blast in lane, he was okay. It was just he would always, always get ass blast blasted. So you know, go to a region where you no longer get ass blasted in lane and you will see success. [01:06:17] Speaker A: He's he. At the old Uno reverse card he was ass blasted. Now he's ass blasting. There we go. [01:06:23] Speaker D: Last blaster. [01:06:25] Speaker A: Yes. Also just fanatics ability to like, like honestly, if I'm looking back at how they won this game, I think that there's two words that define it. Decisive fights. They just committed hard whenever they saw an opportunity to go in. And G2, the whole time I was watching them, I was like, if this is G2 versus HLE, if this is G2 versus BLG, if this is G2 versus T1, they do not play like this. This is not how G2 plays at the international stage. They were literally just disrespecting Fnatic assuming that they could do whatever the hell they wanted. Like the specific grubs contest that comes to mind. I believe it was in game two. They just walk up and Start grubs when they have zero. Prio Top and Fnatic have like four members nearby. G2 saw half of them and just said, bet walk into us. And Fanatic said, okay. Walked at them and like killed them. And they got the grubs and it was like, okay, yeah, cool. I think it was good. Maybe it was a herald. I don't remember. I just know it was like up at that pit at that time of the game. So there's moments like that that I'm just like, yeah, G2 wouldn't do this if they respected the opponent. I think they literally just disrespected Fnatic. Fnatic had a lot of comps that could just attack fast and flank around with like realm warps and such. And Caps got put on zinny duty. That's what I'm calling it when you play Anivia Galio in two losses in a row. Yeah, you just gotta play supportive. So that's my interpretation of LEC this past weekend. That's all I can contribute to the conversation. Bickle, what were some other spark notes of things that happened? Was there anything special? Anything exciting? Or was it all pretty much according to expectation? [01:08:07] Speaker C: It was all pretty standard. In all honesty. I've been wondering why I felt like the LEC has been going so slow as of late. And when I looked this up for our stat about sentinels, I realized something, which is that four of the six slowest teams in the world are in the LEC. [01:08:26] Speaker A: Oh, no, it's. What are they? Which teams? [01:08:30] Speaker C: SK1, 1, G2 at 2, shifters in 3 and K Corp at 6. [01:08:38] Speaker A: K Corp is also one of the slowest. And G2, wow, that's actually very interesting. I wonder how much that contributed to the two of them playing each other in three games. [01:08:47] Speaker C: Yeah, Shifters versus SK this weekend was a banger. [01:08:53] Speaker A: Just okay. [01:08:54] Speaker C: Not the good kind. [01:08:56] Speaker A: Hey, the one thing that I love about EU and makes me want to watch more of their games is the fact that they have 10 teams and like six of them are just bad. Which makes some of those games very entertaining if you get the right combination of players against each other. [01:09:12] Speaker C: Oh yeah. And it's not. You have those teams that are guaranteed bad and then like another four of them can be bad on any given day. [01:09:23] Speaker A: Right. Fight like, Fnatic might just go back to being bad again next week. We don't know. [01:09:28] Speaker C: Like remind you Fnatic lost to Heretics the week before last. Heretics is not a good team. [01:09:36] Speaker A: That's just ridiculous, man. And McWay could also just lose at any moment. They. They were able to pick up a win this past weekend, though, right? They got a 2.0over Navi. [01:09:46] Speaker C: 2 o'. Clock. Navi. [01:09:49] Speaker A: That's a big win for them because Navi is one of those teams that's, like, right around the standings, will be fighting for a spot in, like, top four in playoffs as well. Because in LEC, it's a different format. You want to get top four so you're not in the lower bracket to start. McWay Currently, if they keep the trend up as it's going right now, would be in that lower bracket, not in the upper bracket. [01:10:08] Speaker C: There are a top three teams in the LEC right now. That fourth spot is very much up in the air. Yeah. [01:10:17] Speaker A: Currently the fourth spot is probably like. Like, it's Navi, mcoh Fanatic, and probably gx that I would put in the conversation for that. Yeah, those are, like, the. The competitive ones. Okay, cool. Well, if that's pretty much everything for lec, do you have any series that you recommend people watch? [01:10:35] Speaker C: Bickle, I think you hit the big one, which was Fnatic G2. That's really the one you need to watch. [01:10:41] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:10:41] Speaker A: Go check it out. El Classico. I'm just happy I can. If whenever I retire from esports at some point in the future, I can always say I got to cast a fanatic G2 regular season game. [01:10:53] Speaker D: That's pretty awesome. [01:10:54] Speaker A: And now it's happened twice. I didn't cast this one, but the fact happened twice in one year is really funny. [01:10:59] Speaker D: Just because of you. You started it. [01:11:02] Speaker A: I. You know, I can't take credit for that one. I'm allowed. [01:11:04] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. [01:11:05] Speaker A: Oh, perfect. Okay, I'm gonna do that. Yeah, I'm gonna do that. All right, let's talk about. Oh, there's one narrative I actually wanted to bring up because I heard Vetius and Jet talking about this on Mind the Gap, and then we predictions and wrap up the podcast. Who is more. Well, this is a twist on the the question because they basically were asking who's better, Casey or tl? Like, who would win between them? But I'm gonna spin the question on its head. Who's more likely to end the season undefeated, Casey or tl? [01:11:35] Speaker C: Casey spinning it this way. There is a clear, correct answer, and that correct answer is Casey pacing. [01:11:43] Speaker A: Okay. Is the reason just strength. The schedule. Casey has two matches ahead of them. One is sk, one is shifters. [01:11:48] Speaker C: Yeah. They have. [01:11:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:11:50] Speaker C: Garbage. [01:11:50] Speaker B: They have two matches left, whereas y' all's got to go to Mexico. [01:11:55] Speaker A: Play Lion. They're playing Lion. [01:11:58] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:11:59] Speaker A: But they're also playing Shopify and Dig. [01:12:01] Speaker D: Yeah, that doesn't matter, right? Like Lion. Like them playing against lion, especially with inspired, is harder than anything that Casey has coming up. [01:12:11] Speaker A: Okay. You guys willing to stake your reputations on 100? [01:12:14] Speaker D: 100%. [01:12:15] Speaker B: It's not the first time I've staked my reputation on something that I'm defeated. [01:12:22] Speaker D: Can't wait for TL to drop the last game of the season against Dignitas. I. [01:12:26] Speaker A: Could you imagine that's only win. [01:12:29] Speaker D: It's just. It's just the dard revenge game. [01:12:33] Speaker A: It really would be actually. [01:12:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:12:35] Speaker A: Breaking Point 10 years later revisited. All right, cool. I think, yeah, it's pretty obvious answer, but I think it's a fun question because both regions have a team that could go undefeated. I think Casey's undefeated would be very impressive given the current landscape of the lec. They basically beat MCO so bad in spring that now they're broken and they were able to take down G2 early in the season. Let's talk about predictions. It's gonna be the last week in LEC with four show days. So we got to get through a lot of predictions here. We'll go through rapid fire and then we're going to wrap up the episod on Friday. We got Team Heretics versus sk. SK across the board. Two one. Vitality versus Navi. And we have Vitality across the board. Mostly two O's, but Yanni has a two one. I think that the two one is actually pretty respectable. I thought I was gonna be spicier with a 2 0. I think Navi is still a good enough team to get one game win. But Vitality are looking like the definitive third best team in Europe. Fnatic versus Shifters is Saturday's kickoff match fanatic across the board. I'm just gonna keep rapid firing through these until there's any dissenting here. SK versus mcoy. We have MCO across the board. Guys, you know what happens whenever we all agree on the same predictions? [01:13:46] Speaker B: Our percentages go up because it's more likely to happen because EU's been super predictable this year. [01:13:52] Speaker A: EU actually has been pretty predictable this year. Sunday, Team Heretics versus gx. We all have team hair or. Sorry. We all have GX across the board. Shifter versus kc. We have KC across the board. This gets a little more exciting. Navi versus Fnatic. This is the only series on the entire weekend for LDC that we do not all have agreement on. I have Fanatic 2. 0. Badger is Fanatic 2. 1. Bickle and Yanni both have a Navi 2 1. Bickle, I'm gonna give you the defensive Navi. Badger, I'm gonna give you the defense of Fnatic. Bickle, you go first. Why do you think Navi is better and takes the series? [01:14:29] Speaker C: I do not trust Fnatic in the slightest. Like, I think they beat G2 because G2 pulled a G2. And they always pull a G2 against Fnatic. And what we saw Fnatic not this past week, but the week before, was absolutely atrocious. Navi's had a lot of ups and downs, but Navi has been able to get leads and then just not know how to close out games. I think if they can get a lead against Fnatic, they'll be in the clear, but a big thing also. I feel the thing that'll edge Navi's way is the jungle matchup of Rilech versus Razor. I. Yeah, I feel like if Fnatic misses the playoffs, this is really sad to say. I think this may be the end of Razor's career year. [01:15:24] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [01:15:25] Speaker C: At least in Tier one. [01:15:28] Speaker A: I'm trying to think, like, who has Rosary been with Fnatic the whole time or was he with somebody else? [01:15:33] Speaker C: He came from Misfits. Yeah, but he's been with Fnatic since 21. No, since 22. [01:15:41] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [01:15:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:43] Speaker C: He's going on five years. [01:15:46] Speaker B: Jeez. [01:15:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Misfits and then a sub for Giant Gaming before that. [01:15:53] Speaker C: Yeah, Giant Gaming back then was a EU Masters team. [01:15:58] Speaker A: That's crazy. [01:16:00] Speaker B: Yes. [01:16:00] Speaker A: So that's a long time. That's like blabber levels of time with one team, [01:16:05] Speaker B: I think. Let me recollect this real fast. I'm pretty sure he was the Jungler that inspired. Got that Viego pen to kill again. [01:16:15] Speaker A: Correct. [01:16:15] Speaker C: That was against that Misfits team that. [01:16:17] Speaker A: Oh, that's crazy. [01:16:18] Speaker C: Inspired got the Pentakill on Viego to save Rogue from the embarrassment of. Of being first seed in missing Worlds. They beat Misfits in the final game of their playoff run to lock themselves into Worlds. [01:16:32] Speaker B: That was the last time that he was jungling for Misfits before he went to Fnatic just to put everything into perspective. [01:16:41] Speaker A: So that's a long time jungling for one team. [01:16:44] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:16:44] Speaker A: I think that's when Misfits focus makes sense. [01:16:48] Speaker C: Sold Tech. [01:16:49] Speaker A: Technically Inspired beat him so bad. [01:16:52] Speaker B: Yep. [01:16:53] Speaker A: I still have Fanatic taking it. Badger, why do you agree the Fanatic takes this one? [01:16:59] Speaker B: I. I Think the way that Navi wants to play turns games silly. And Fnatic thrive in silly environments at this point. So it's just. It's just the. The fight of the clowns at the circus. And I believe that Fnatic will be the one to emerge from the big top fair. [01:17:23] Speaker A: I think it's a little more. Mine's a little more specific. I think it will be a bit of a circus match, but I think that Fanatic will find enough windows that Mainer and Poby give to just kill them in a side lane. And Fanatic showed that they were so quick on the trigger pull versus G2. If we get that version of Fnatic. Navi have shown that they will overextend all the time inside, like just constantly. So I think that Fanatic should be able to capitalize on that [01:17:54] Speaker C: run to Worlds, right? [01:17:55] Speaker A: Dude, I. I have them going undefeated this weekend. I have going 2020. I'm buying in, baby. I'm buying in on the fanatic hype. GX versus G2 to close out on Monday and we all have G220 across the board. No surprise. They should make very fast work of a team like gx. Sorry J. Big fan, but I just don't think it's good to sor. [01:18:18] Speaker B: John. [01:18:19] Speaker A: Sorry, John. And sorry. The Twitch chatter. Who's in like everybody's stream. [01:18:25] Speaker D: Gx. [01:18:25] Speaker A: Jun lover, that's my go. [01:18:29] Speaker D: I've met them. [01:18:30] Speaker A: Oh, you have? [01:18:31] Speaker D: Yeah, I met them at a David Shock Watch party up in New York. [01:18:36] Speaker A: That's awesome. Shout out to them. I love fans that are that passionate and also are in that many streams. Every time I go to any stream LCS related, they're in there talking. I'm like, oh, hey look, it's that June fan. [01:18:48] Speaker D: Exactly. The goat. [01:18:50] Speaker A: All right, cool. Well, speaking of fans, thank you everybody for listening along, for being fans of the LCS and the LEC and for tuning in this week for this episode. Thank you so much. Both or for us? Why both? All three of my co hosts for coming on and joining for this week's episode. Super fun. Yanni, we're gonna give you the the challenge this time. If you could give a number of stars a recommendation for. For folks to leave as a review, how many stars do you think they should leave? [01:19:19] Speaker D: So if your platform only allows you to go up to five stars, then it should be the amount of starting players on a League of Legends team because. [01:19:28] Speaker A: Okay, okay. So the maximum, if the maximum is [01:19:31] Speaker D: 5, now if it lets you go up to 10, it should be the amount of players that a hard stuck caster low has on their roster. [01:19:40] Speaker A: Shout out to our team. I haven't played a game on it yet. I've. I've. [01:19:44] Speaker D: We're so. We're actually. Are you on screaming in 25 minutes? We're screaming in 25 minutes, brother. Tap in. [01:19:52] Speaker A: Do I have to scrim with you guys? No, I was not tagged in that. [01:19:55] Speaker D: I'm starting. I'm starting the scrim. [01:19:57] Speaker A: Okay. I mean, yeah, I could. I could move some things around, but I don't think I had. [01:20:00] Speaker D: No, no, no, I'm starting. [01:20:02] Speaker A: And I know I like the message of 5 if that's a high sea goes 10 if it goes higher. And yeah, also go check out hard stack caster. That's the team for those confused with what Yanni was just talking about. Team of a bunch of casters in. In collegiate tier 2 LPL official English and now myself representing the LCS have all come together to make a team to compete in the low budget LCs, which is like one of those community tournaments. You can join. [01:20:30] Speaker D: You know what's really interesting right now too? You know, real quick. You know, it's really interesting. If you go take a look at the. The chat that we have, there is an extra person in that chat that has not been added to the team but is in this chat currently. And I do wonder if it's because they're in a game with them or. Or if we have another member joining the team. Probably not. But as. [01:20:53] Speaker A: Are you just gonna vague post or are we allowed to say who it is? [01:20:55] Speaker D: I'm just gonna vague post if you want to do it. [01:20:57] Speaker A: Okay, cool. [01:20:58] Speaker D: You can just scroll down and look at it. [01:21:00] Speaker A: I'm too lazy to look at the chat. [01:21:02] Speaker D: Why is it. Why is a Zale in there? [01:21:04] Speaker A: Oh, what? Oh, that would be a ringer. [01:21:08] Speaker D: I think he's just playing a game with the boys. I think he's just playing. [01:21:10] Speaker A: There's no way. It would be pretty funny. [01:21:13] Speaker D: Funny. What division are we in? [01:21:15] Speaker A: Hold on. [01:21:17] Speaker D: I don't even know that I had it. Give me. Give me one second. [01:21:20] Speaker A: Our highest ranked players are diamond, right? [01:21:22] Speaker D: Yeah, me and. Me and Slayer are up there. Slayer. [01:21:24] Speaker B: Oh, so you guys are probably in what, like financial or something like that? [01:21:28] Speaker D: I think we're like in the one right below that because our solo laners [01:21:32] Speaker B: or economy or something like that. [01:21:34] Speaker D: Our solo laners kind of struggle a little bit. I think we're an owner. Audit. I think we're in audit. [01:21:40] Speaker B: Okay, give me one second. [01:21:42] Speaker A: I did not even know these were the names of the divisions. This is fantastic. [01:21:45] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. [01:21:45] Speaker A: I'm learning so much. [01:21:47] Speaker B: So the tier that I'm gonna be joining, probably. Yeah, we're an audit is commercial, which is the second from the bottom, so. [01:21:57] Speaker A: Nice. [01:21:57] Speaker D: Yeah. Audits, like, commercial. [01:21:58] Speaker A: Sounds better than audit to me, though. [01:22:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:22:00] Speaker D: I actually think I'd rather be. Audit's right in the middle. Yeah. We lost our first game. We lost our first game. Game to. Who do we lose to? We lost to the Flaming Flamingos two to one. [01:22:12] Speaker A: Yep. It's because you guys didn't put me as a starter. That's crazy. [01:22:17] Speaker D: Yeah. I don't know if it was my fault that we lost the series, but [01:22:20] Speaker B: we should probably end the episode proper. Yeah. [01:22:23] Speaker A: Yeah, we could. [01:22:25] Speaker B: Yeah. As much as people love to hear about our LBLCS teams, we got. My team got second last season. [01:22:31] Speaker A: Oh, baby. [01:22:33] Speaker B: Big man on campus. [01:22:34] Speaker A: Well, hey, if you want to go check it out, some of the folks on the team are streaming it, so go follow Yani. Go follow Slayer. [01:22:40] Speaker B: Support. Support. Tournaments like that, like LBL. [01:22:45] Speaker D: Support Tier 4. [01:22:46] Speaker B: Support Tier 4. [01:22:48] Speaker A: Hey. Tier 4 feeds into Tier 3, which feeds into Tier 2, which feeds into a THR. [01:22:52] Speaker D: I have casted players that I was casting them in, like, plat Emerald Leagues, and then all of a sudden I was like, yo, this guy hit master. I remember this guy. [01:23:01] Speaker A: There we go. And then one of them back in [01:23:04] Speaker B: the day made it to tier three in tournaments. [01:23:09] Speaker A: Oh, I love end of episodes when it just devolves into everybody screaming about, like, random references. All right, we love League of Life. We're going to close it out right there. Thanks, guys, for coming out for this week's episode. It was super fun. Thank you, everybody, for listening along. If you made it to this part of the podcast, just know that we love you and we'll see you next time. [01:23:25] Speaker B: Goodbye. [01:23:26] Speaker D: Bye. [01:23:26] Speaker A: Bye, everybody. [01:23:27] Speaker C: Peace. [01:23:29] Speaker A: Oh, yes. Daddy. Sam.
