[00:00:12] Speaker A: Gets hit Kimmy kids a little too far here. [00:00:14] Speaker B: He's gonna have to try and get [00:00:15] Speaker A: himself out living o Tillery and the rest of the shots of fire Zion is just killing the next Zion can eat single handedly win the game by game by game by game by [00:00:26] Speaker B: should [00:00:26] Speaker A: be oh my God. Stupid marches through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. I do not believe he just believe. I cannot understand this game. [00:00:46] Speaker B: Unicorns of love. It wasn't a mutant. They're Nexus. [00:01:05] Speaker A: Hello and welcome to episode 622 of the League Rundown. This is your 2026 Summer Split LEC and LCS week 5 review along with the week 6 preview. This episode is lovingly entitled Read the prompter or Read the Teleprompter to be more specific. I'm your host Kangas and I'm joined by three esteemed co hosts. Up first we have Fresh out of the can, it's badger chat. [00:01:29] Speaker C: I figured it out. World NA is winning Worlds in 2041. To listen to the plan, subscribe to the Patreon. Listen to the pre show Bush Literary. [00:01:38] Speaker A: It is. It is maybe a legacy win for na. You know, a member of the podcast has a family member showing promise as a young gamer. [00:01:50] Speaker C: Showing potential. [00:01:51] Speaker A: Showing potential. Showing potential early on we also have Joining us it's and the big Bickle pickle. [00:01:57] Speaker D: Is this thing on? Can anyone see me? I feel so alone, abandoned, isolated, without anyone deciding to read me. What is my purpose if not to prompt? They said it was a pro player takeover, but the only thing that has been taken over is my ability to be read. It's so cold. The light is fading. Can anyone hear what I'm saying? [00:02:20] Speaker A: Oh, that was great. We're gonna talk all about the pro player takeover from the LCS and the teleprompter shenanigans. Shout out new member to the LCS production team, Grapes. Hopefully we'll get them on the podcast. It's some point here. We're trying to work scheduling to get him on at some point so you'll actually get to know what he sounds like as well. If you watch LPL unofficial English, you do know what he sounds like. He's also a caster over there, but he was having some fun during the pro player take away right into the teleprompter. And our final member, if you're a fan of the hit TV show Parks and Recreation, you might be thinking is this guy from Pawnee? No, it's yanni. [00:02:57] Speaker B: That's terrible. [00:02:59] Speaker D: 10 out of 10 no notes. [00:03:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:02] Speaker B: You want to know the worst part? I've never watched Parks and Rec. [00:03:06] Speaker A: It's okay. They're from Pawnee, Indiana. And that came to mind. When I think of the things that rhyme with your name. [00:03:10] Speaker B: I understand that, you know, it was a good effort. [00:03:13] Speaker A: We're workshop. We'll. We'll find one that sticks for you. That was. That was attempt number one. We'll see if people like it. But we're gonna talk all about League of Legends this week, of course, as always. But before we get into LEC and lcs, let's cover news around the horn. Up first roster news. Bickle. One piece of Russian news came across our desk, our cumulative league rundown desk. I just have like an imaginary desk in my head, which is essentially just the chat in our discord that says league news. But it came across that desk. One roster move that could be happening at the end of this year. What's going on over at Shifters, Our [00:03:50] Speaker D: solid theoretical roster desk. But basically, after shifters were officially eliminated from playoffs after their series this week, their mid laner, Nuke, came out and basically said that after this year, he's going to be taking a step away from competitive and taking a break. So shifters will be looking for a new mid laner. [00:04:10] Speaker A: Yeah, it's seeming so. I think it makes a lot of sense given Nuke's continued kind of struggles. He showed a lot of promise early on when he first joined. [00:04:21] Speaker B: What was. [00:04:21] Speaker A: What was Nuke's first team. Was it Rogue? I'm trying to think what Newt, who. Who new kind of debuted on. I remember being early on. Yeah, I'm blanking on a rogue Shulka. [00:04:35] Speaker C: That's. [00:04:35] Speaker D: He was on. Shulka then went to BDS, which became shifters. He was like BDS's franchise player quotation marks because he's been there for. He's been there for five years. [00:04:46] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:46] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [00:04:47] Speaker C: December 21st, he signed. [00:04:49] Speaker D: Jesus Christ. [00:04:49] Speaker C: BDS. Yeah. [00:04:50] Speaker A: That's actually crazy. Hey, look at that longevity from a player unheard of in this modern age. But looks like that will only be five years. Then as he's gonna be stepping away. We'll see if he comes back at any point. Maybe he gets re inspired to continue grinding and playing the game. It's never a hundred percent. [00:05:09] Speaker C: You. [00:05:10] Speaker A: You know that they're gonna be gone forever. I mean, look at. Dardaki is back in the LCS as well. But at least for now, yes, they will be looking for a new mid laner. Real quick, let's just spitball Badger. Are There any LCK challenger mid laners that they can snipe immediately? [00:05:28] Speaker C: Not the top of my head that I can think of right now, but I haven't been keeping up with challengers as much this season as. [00:05:33] Speaker A: You know what that means. We have finally exhausted Korea of all their tier two mid laners. [00:05:40] Speaker C: There's gotta be. There's gotta be one. Let me. Hold on, let me. While you're thinking about it, I'll just randomly spit out a name here in about 30 seconds. [00:05:46] Speaker B: Don't worry. I. I know who's coming in. [00:05:49] Speaker A: Oh, who's coming in? [00:05:51] Speaker B: Here comes Toasty Alex. [00:05:54] Speaker A: Oh, let's go. Actually, that could happen. The G2 Nord mid laner. An NA player that we've had our eyes on for a while, hoping he comes back to na, but you are right, he's. He's in Berlin right Now playing for G2 Nord and having a decent amount of success. Honestly. [00:06:08] Speaker C: I just saw a name and Yanni, you might know this name because he played for Thunder Talk last year. Satab. [00:06:15] Speaker B: Oh, Satab. Yeah. He made me want to tab my eyes out, bro. [00:06:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:22] Speaker A: I was like. [00:06:23] Speaker C: I'm like. I'm like, there's a Chinese. There's a Korean mid laner that went to the LPL that just came back that's a perfect fit for this. What's his name? And then I'm like, oh, yeah, it's the top. [00:06:31] Speaker B: He. He had some. He had some really okay games. Like, there were times where he was like, he's. Hey, maybe some sauce. You know, he. [00:06:39] Speaker C: For. He did not have 07 in the LEC right now. [00:06:43] Speaker A: He. [00:06:43] Speaker C: He can't be much worse. [00:06:44] Speaker B: Yeah. You know, listen, look what. Look at what sober was doing, you know, True. [00:06:51] Speaker A: Hilariously, like a good top leader in the lec, you know? [00:06:56] Speaker B: And you want to know what's crazy? Top lane in the LPR right now is absolute. From a butt. [00:07:03] Speaker A: Really? [00:07:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:04] Speaker C: Poop from butt. [00:07:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Poop from butt. [00:07:07] Speaker A: I've actually evolved because the from a butt is hilarious to hear, but I like to say it's ass from a butt. Nobody expects that. Nobody really knows what it means. [00:07:15] Speaker B: It's like saying you're not taking somebody's lunch money, but you're eating their lunch money. [00:07:19] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna eat your lunch money. Your lunch money. I will burn that bridge when we come to it. Anyway, that's one roster news for Nuke. We'll keep our eyes on what mid laner shifters might be picking up a variety topics. You just wanted to. I wanted to Leave it open here for everybody to just give their thoughts on the pro takeover day. Because that was a fun thing that happened this past weekend in LE or lcs, rather. Just on Sunday, there was no analyst desk. It was just pros. Even on Saturday we had Sven on. We had Griffin come on and cast after his series. So we were trying to like, kind of tease it on Saturday, but then Sunday was a full pro takeover. Let's go down the line and give a review of how the pros did. Bickley, you're at the top of the discord call, so you get to go first. [00:08:01] Speaker D: 10 out of 10, no notes. Do it again. [00:08:04] Speaker A: Okay. All right. Down out of 10, no notes. Badger, do you concur? [00:08:08] Speaker C: I was gonna say nine and a half out of ten. No teleprompter. [00:08:11] Speaker B: So. [00:08:15] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Nine out of nine. [00:08:17] Speaker B: Point five out of ten. [00:08:18] Speaker A: Too much water. [00:08:18] Speaker C: Too much water. [00:08:20] Speaker A: Does anybody get that reference? [00:08:21] Speaker C: Yeah, it's the IGN review of. [00:08:23] Speaker A: Thank God. [00:08:23] Speaker C: What Pokemon game was that generation? [00:08:26] Speaker A: That was the remake of Gen 3 for the 3Ds. It was. [00:08:31] Speaker C: That's right. [00:08:32] Speaker A: Sapphire or one or whatever. Yeah, it's really funny. Okay, I'm happy I'm amongst ghosts. [00:08:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I got you, big dog. [00:08:39] Speaker A: All right, Yanni, thoughts? [00:08:40] Speaker B: So before I give a rating, I would just like to congratulate the entire North American LCS broadcast team for getting some extra job security after this weekend. It was fun. It was great. You know, this is. This is as. As was mentioned prior to fun, fun thing to do once or twice. That being said, 10 out of 10 was absolutely fantastic, great time. A lot of people had a lot of fun with it. A lot of people who hadn't really been watching the product watch the product that weekend because of that. And I think it was very cool. [00:09:14] Speaker A: Yeah, the novelty of it was amazing. And that's what made it such a fun experience. I do not want that to happen more than once a year. Maybe once a split. Maybe once a split you do a takeover day. But even that, I think could get old because I think that the reason was so fun and enjoyable and well received is because it had never been done before. But to your point, and this is something I was mentioning before, I'm like, I. I think it was more bad than good in terms of quality. And yes, the bad was funny because it was pros trying. But like all the viral clips and the best moments were snippets. If you actually watch the whole 30 minute pre show, there's a lot of just like silence and like not quite knowing what to do. I'm also salty because the producers completely changed mine and Emily's presentation that we made for inspired. There were, like, five times more explosions in the one that I made. And I was wondering way, way memier in terms of just, like, presentation. And they definitely simplified it to be just information. And I was like, nah, you guys ruined it. But that's just my own saltiness. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to bring it up in the mean. I already told Manny and grapes. I'm like, by the way, guys, I'm. I'm roasting your asses in the meeting, being like, you guys ruined our presentation. [00:10:35] Speaker C: You're. When you show up third for the meeting this week, you can [00:10:41] Speaker A: slide this past weekend. Come on. [00:10:45] Speaker B: You ain't first, you're last. [00:10:46] Speaker C: I know. [00:10:47] Speaker A: Yeah, it's been tough. Also, Emily reminds me every week that I'm slandering her because she gets there at, like, 9am every Saturday and Sunday because she. Her makeup takes a long time, or not like, a lot. She just wants to get there so that she can get her makeup done first because it's a little more involved than us get in. And, like, they throw on, like, the normal stuff, right? And then she, like, does her notes and things like that. So she just likes getting in there early. So she's like, I'm always the first one here. But I'm like, but you're not the first one in the meeting room. You got to get there early. So that way she needs to do. [00:11:21] Speaker B: I don't know how close or far they are. She needs to get into the meeting room first to take the picture and then. And then move to. To make up true. Just. Just a short. [00:11:30] Speaker A: I don't know how long the detour is. [00:11:32] Speaker C: They don't give Emily. [00:11:32] Speaker B: You do that. You mark it. No, no, no, listen. She's a friend, you know, Emily Ranch. [00:11:37] Speaker C: I know, I know, I know. It's like friend of the pod also. Friend of the pod. Yeah, for sure. [00:11:42] Speaker A: Again here. Eventually. [00:11:43] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:11:45] Speaker A: Also, for anybody who has no idea what we're talking about, I. I tweet out every day that I'm on the analyst desk. Whenever I get in, I tweet out, like, first in the meeting room first. But then it's evolved to me getting a little lazier, and now most of the time, people beat me there. So then I have to come up with some quip as to why I wasn't the first one in the meeting room. So only people to follow my socials would understand the joke. [00:12:03] Speaker B: And if you don't follow. [00:12:06] Speaker A: I mean, if you want sporadic tweets about League of Legends, hell yeah. [00:12:10] Speaker C: And so the birthday cake gimmick came back the other day. [00:12:12] Speaker A: The birthday cake gimmick did come back. That's something that I've been doing for many years now. I've had so many cakes shoved in my face. Another one that's difficult to explain on an audio medium, but if you want to follow me, most recent post I put out, there's like a thread of 30 different videos of people throwing cake in my face. It's great. All right, I think that's good enough for reviews. LPLCK Update is the last thing we have for news. Let's get through those ones quickly. Yanni, I'm gonna start you off with LPL Update. I know we're in playoffs. What's happened so far? What are the storylines? [00:12:42] Speaker B: Nothing has happened in the playoffs quite yet. So we have the regular season. We we have played games coming up. The the Knights rivals coming up. So BLG and Anyone's Legend finished top two. They have secured first round buys. Oddly enough. BLG 12 2, Anyone's Legend 9 and 5 in second place far far behind BLG. That one's interesting to note. The teams that are gonna have to fight in the plans are gonna be ThunderTalk Gaming and Edward Gaming from Group Ascend. Edward Gaming was previously winless. I believe they were 0 and 11. But they finish. And then in group Nirvana it's Ninjas in Pajamas and Invictus Gaming who are going to be getting out in Weibo Gaming. A big surprise not getting into that top two. That's Sika, Xiaohu, Elk and Moham that are not going to be playing in any playoff matches. So our playoff slate that's going to be coming up we have EDG and Nip kicking things off and then ThunderTalk versus IG. This is all going to be played on Friday at 2am Eastern. Do whatever conversions you need to for whatever time you're at. [00:13:53] Speaker A: That would be 11pm Pacific Time on Thursday night. [00:13:56] Speaker B: Yeah. And then the next game will be played. It's tentatively scheduled for 5am Eastern. But these are best of fives so they will go a little bit of a ways our first round beyond that because the the winners of these immediately go into the losers bracket. Our first round is Top Esports versus LGD and then JDG versus Team We. The very interesting part is poor lgd. This is a team that started out one and six in the first half of the split managed to bring it back to finish six and eight. But they finished in the sixth place spot, which means they have to play a top three team in Top Esports. If they win, they're going to have to play against another top three team in anyone's legend. And if they lose, they're going to have to play against the best team out of group nirvana if Nip wins, which they are expected to. So they have drawn the most difficult matches possible. And it's a damn shame because this is a team that has really started to gel together. Crisp, who took a break pretty much the entire year. Former FPX support when they won worlds, came back immediately. We voted him a third team. [00:15:07] Speaker A: All pro. [00:15:08] Speaker B: Really excellent. Tong Yuan, who was the successor to Xiaohu on rng, who wasn't really able to do too much over there, has really blown blossomed on this LGD team that's had a fantastic 2026. Their jungler hung has come out of nowhere to kind of direct a lot of early game plans and make some creative plays happen. This team went from being dead in the water to actually kind of scary. They split the regular season series with Top Esports, including the most recent victory over them, two games to nothing. So that'll be a fun one to watch out for. And I'm not shilling it just because I'm on that particular broadcast. [00:15:41] Speaker A: Okay? Of course not. And then real quick, just to get. You're saying it's. It's a hard draw for them, difficult opponents whether they win or lose, but you're saying there's a chance. [00:15:49] Speaker B: Absolutely. The interesting thing about a lot of the teams in the LPL is they can beat anybody except for like blg. Anybody can win. And this is where things are going to start getting really, really interesting. The other playoff match that we know for sure is JDG versus Team W e. These teams are going back and forth for like that fourth seed to be like a top four team. Team W e had it for a while. JDG started out one and four and we're still not convinced. But hey, they're eight and six. They're the fourth seed. They're one game behind Top Esports. They're behind al. Like, this is a team that kind of revived themselves. Junja is like getting subbed out in some of these series, but things are still working for the team. And meanwhile, Team W e is just a coin flip. They are. You know how the LPL's tagline is crazy as our game. They are crazy. Is our game embodiment they will fight you absolutely anywhere. They will flip a game anywhere. Cube, a much maligned top laner for just kind of showing up and doing nothing as having a career year. So is their mid laner Caris who many have you know flamed for the same thing their rookie AD carry about is really starting to come through. The only thing is Monkey, their jungler who is the driver of the team. He just needs to not drive him off the damn cliff. [00:17:04] Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. I hear Monkey also got like a lot of nods for all pro and [00:17:09] Speaker B: I and Harry shouldn't have. [00:17:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I've heard varying like opinions on it whether he deserved it or not. But either way that I get a little too. [00:17:17] Speaker B: Thank you for the breakdown and I have had people say very mean things to me on Twitter. [00:17:23] Speaker A: Thank you for the breakdown of lpl. Sorry people are being mean to you on Twitter. [00:17:26] Speaker D: Championship points, correct? [00:17:28] Speaker B: That is correct. Yes. [00:17:29] Speaker D: Okay. [00:17:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:31] Speaker A: Because BLG is already guaranteed into. [00:17:32] Speaker B: They are guaranteed no matter what at this point. [00:17:34] Speaker D: Yep. [00:17:35] Speaker A: Yep. Shout out blg. Shout out Worlds lck. Let's give an update there. Badger. I'm throw this one over to you. What's going on in LCK playoff picture? [00:17:45] Speaker C: So we are reaching the stage where plans begin. They actually start tomorrow morning with the first series and the winner of that will directly qualify into the playoffs no matter what. [00:18:00] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:01] Speaker D: Right. [00:18:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:02] Speaker A: Both of them are doing these like weird pre playoff things. [00:18:05] Speaker C: Yeah. So you have to play in. So it's KT who was the last place in Legend Group versus Hanjin Brion who was first place in Rise at the end of the season. So that's like Nirvana Ascend essentially from. From lpl. Winner of that qualifies as the fifth seed into playoffs for the lck. The loser of that plays the winner of the mid season trade of either Diable or the Diablo trade with the nongshim Red Force vs. Fear X series and the lower part of the bracket. So we've reached the stage where it's just kind of waiting for play ins and then LCK's typical format. Genji is the first seed. Han was the second seed. T1's the third seed. DK is the fourth seed. I believe T1 gets to select who they want to play in the first round of the two teams that come through this. But I may be incorrect on that. Let me check real fast. I thought that's the case. [00:19:17] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It's weird because sometimes they have different like formats. For example in LCS this year I learned and apparently they've been doing it this way for like three years, but I, I didn't know about this. The way that first place seating works is that you get to choose your bracket opponent. You don't get to choose who you play after they win or lose. You get to choose. Okay, so if I'm first seed and it. Let's take LCS for example. It's like, you know, Shopify versus C9. Or it's Sentinels versus Fly Quest. You get to choose Sentinels, Fly Quest winner or C9. Shopify winner. You don't get to choose after you know who won. You just. [00:20:00] Speaker C: So basically you just use the side of the bracket. [00:20:02] Speaker A: Do you choose the side of the bracket? I don't know if that's how it works with lck, but I just, I know that like, it's different depending on where you go because sometimes it is more strict. It's like, oh, yeah, pretty sure play the games. [00:20:12] Speaker C: They T1, since they're the higher seed, gets to pick whichever one they want of the two teams. But then. And the second round, Gen G gets to pick the winner of the first round game that they want to play. So it's the double layer of it all. It's. It's very confusing. You know, we'll reach the point where we'll actually get some clarity because the first three rounds. Well, actually the first two rounds will be pretty much played out entirely by the next time we record next week. It'll be the play in and then we'll have the first round entirely played and the second round will be in the middle of it. So. But yeah, presumptive favorites at this point, Hanwa is already qualified to Worlds. Genji is in a very good spot to qualify. Let me just have to win. Oh, or T1, T1, T1 are pretty fit. It's basically Gen G, Hanwha, T1 and DK are the expected teams to qualify for Worlds from Korea this year. If KT sneaks in, if Hanjin pulls off a Cinderella run or like Ferex or Nongshim make a huge run as well, it would be very surprising. KT's kind of been on the downswing this last part of the season. So. [00:21:34] Speaker A: Look, I know that we're always excited to see teams like T1 and Gen G at Worlds, but Badger, I think the only team people care about if they're going to make worlds is motherfucking Fanatic. Dude, can they keep the streak up? Can they keep it going? I don't know, man. It's looking rough. Over in the lac. [00:21:50] Speaker C: It's not great. [00:21:52] Speaker A: Yeah. Thank you for the LCK update though, along with the LPL update, Yanni. Playoffs is always a lot of information to get through. So happy we're able to get all that down. But we'll keep our eyes on who's doing well in playoffs because that will give us insight into Worlds and what kind of competition is going to be coming over to NA in a few months. One other bit of news that I forgot during the variety topics was the update on Worlds tickets. If you were not able to get Worlds tickets yet, do not fret. Unless you didn't try the first time. They put out an announcement today that they're opening a second wave of tickets for Worlds through Fan first, which is like their online thing that you have to like sign up for pre register to get in like a queue to get tickets or like to get on the list of being able to purchase tickets. It's not just something you can go to Stubhub or whatever, like ticketing thing and just get in. You have to like go through this Fan first thing. I. I don't know exactly what it looks like. If somebody listening is probably like, that's kind of true, but not fully true. This is the best of my interpretation, but this second wave is only for people that were registered through Fan first already. If you were not registered originally and are trying to get on now, you will not be eligible for the second wave. It's very weird. Never seen them do anything like this before. Riot are like always trying their best to deal with bots and scalpers and like trying to beat them throughout all these different evolving systems. Maybe this is another one of those. But all I know is the information. If you already tried to get tickets the first time, I didn't get them. Try again. It's gonna be September 1st at 8:00am Pacific Time that it opens up. So set your alarms for September 1st. If you want to get Worlds, tick still [00:23:31] Speaker B: fan second because it's the second time they're running it. [00:23:34] Speaker A: Ah, true. [00:23:36] Speaker B: Yeah. No, that wasn't like a dig. No, that wasn't it. [00:23:38] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:23:39] Speaker B: Now I do say this is somebody who has a world's ticket. [00:23:42] Speaker A: Mr. Riot, Yanni just said something interesting on the podcast. [00:23:45] Speaker B: Dude, do not do this to me. [00:23:46] Speaker A: I will, I will. [00:23:48] Speaker B: You will. You will be my 13th reason. [00:23:52] Speaker A: I would never. I would never. Yanni, the goal is to get you. I want to be at Worlds with you, man. I want to play some riftbound in the stands with you. [00:24:00] Speaker B: Oh, it'll Be so good now. Let's get a. [00:24:03] Speaker A: Let's get a suite. Let's get a VIP suite there. [00:24:04] Speaker B: Those are unfortunately too expensive. We tried. We tried, actually. [00:24:07] Speaker A: Oh, you did? [00:24:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Leah and Sanadence, who worked with Ami previously, she put an inquiry out on a suite. It was a little too expensive for all of our esports friends to afford. I would have certainly chipped in my amount for it. But I also like have a full time job in addition to also doing esports. So I can, yeah, kind of do that. [00:24:30] Speaker A: I also don't even want to know what that price is. [00:24:31] Speaker C: That's. [00:24:32] Speaker B: I think per person. Per person ended up being like 1500 or something like that. But that. Oh, that gives you the sweet. Yeah, like food and drink and stuff like that. [00:24:40] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, but that's. [00:24:43] Speaker B: The private bathrooms is a big game changer. I would pay up to 300 more for private bathrooms and a largely sporting event, let alone an event with all gamers. [00:24:57] Speaker C: You know what, that's actually a good point. [00:25:00] Speaker A: Okay, well, hey, if you're still looking for world tickets, try and get them. You can maybe get the VIP section and then send photos to Yanni about your private bathroom. Probably not you in the bathroom. Let's talk about LEC though. Hop across the pond over to Europe. We're starting with LEC this week because we did them second last week. If you notice, we usually try to flip those around episode by episode. And there's still 10 teams that are playing over there, but only nine in the running for playoffs as one has bid farewell to their playoff opportunities. Bickel, can you run me through the current standings in the lec along with who is locked for playoffs and also who is locked out? [00:25:36] Speaker D: Sure thing. Top of the standings, undefeated 8no is KC. They have one series left and if they win that out, they finish the season undefeated. Second place barely is G2 at 6 and 3. They're done. Yeah. They have no more series to play. They have finished. [00:25:55] Speaker A: That's crazy. [00:25:57] Speaker D: Up next, sitting in third place at five and two. So with an opportunity still to pass G2 is Vitality. Fourth place, rounding out the top four at the moment. Also locked playoffs with their win this week is Giant X. Then we get into fifth place at four and four is Navi. Sixth place right now is Fnatic at three and four. Followed closely in a tie basically at three and five is MCOI and SK with Heretics next in ninth at two and five and Shifters all the way down at the bottom. Tenth place, no wins on the season 0 and 7. [00:26:37] Speaker A: Yep. Crazy that FNATIC are locked for playoff. Oh, wait, no. FNATIC are not locked for playoffs. They're just currently in the six spot. [00:26:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:26:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, that makes more sense. Giant X, the lowest locked for playoffs at 4 and 3. Just having a winning record right now when it's so close at the bottom puts them enough. [00:26:53] Speaker C: God, this is, this last week is going to be a cluster. [00:26:56] Speaker A: It's going to be crazy. Yeah, a lot of playoff positions will be. [00:26:59] Speaker C: Get your folding sheets ready. I, I know that they'll post something on socials to get your Google. Google. [00:27:06] Speaker D: I've already got my simulator up and running to see based on what everybody's picks are, what their playoff predictions are. Oh, shit. [00:27:13] Speaker A: Oh, that's fun. That's fun. One big thing that is like another just narrative in general from this past weekend is kind of the implosion of mcoid. This summer, they are hosting round one of playoffs for the lec. Which round, like the first weekend of playoffs, will only be the top four teams versus each other. That's it. No teams in the fifth and sixth spots and MCOI are currently locked out of top four contention. That's something I, I, they were talking about the broadcast. Is this confirmed? Does anybody know if this is 100 true? I just know that we were talking about it. [00:27:51] Speaker D: They have a 0 chance to make top four. What's even worse, they have a 16% chance to make playoffs. [00:27:59] Speaker B: Jeez. [00:28:00] Speaker A: Yeah, I remember people talking about. I didn't see if it was confirmed. Happy to hear it is. Well, not happy to hear. It's confirmed. It's shocking here. It's confirmed that MCOID will be hosting an event that they cannot participate in because they're not going to be in the top, guaranteed. And they might not even make playoffs. Like MC might have to host playoffs when they didn't make it. [00:28:17] Speaker B: They are, they are making dinner. They are making the drinks. They are giving everything to all the teams that are playing good hosts. Also. God, also just saying. I recall that many episodes ago I said he was coming home. He's coming home. I'm telling you. [00:28:36] Speaker A: You and you and Vettius Both believe it. JoJo is coming back. [00:28:42] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm under the belief at this point. What team does he go to? [00:28:46] Speaker A: I feel like it would be a Shopify Rebellion. Shopify still have a budget and if they say we're gonna blow up the roster, get JoJo and build an entire roster around JoJo, I think he might be interested. Otherwise it would probably be like maybe Lion. I know, Saint is awesome, but I think his contract is up at the end of this year. I'm pretty sure he had a two year contract. If I remember. [00:29:10] Speaker C: If you're lying and JoJo comes back and you're like saints, good. But we could have JoJo inspired again as our mid jungle. Like have another NA team with JoJo inspired as mid jungle. Like, it's very tempting. You know, you might want to put [00:29:28] Speaker A: the wax in here at that point. [00:29:30] Speaker D: Second option is say lion go on a phenomenal run at worlds, make top eight. If Saints done this season, maybe he gets an offer from a lower LCK team. He bounces, JoJo comes in him. [00:29:46] Speaker A: That's true. Yeah. It could be Saint just chooses he wants to go play in Korea. [00:29:50] Speaker B: That's the only way part of it. That's. That's actually. No, that's not even the only way. I don't know. I think if JoJo comes back and inspires on that team, he's gonna be like, I would like to play with Jojo Pun. [00:29:59] Speaker C: Yep. [00:30:00] Speaker B: And. And they're gonna be like, well, we have Satan. He's gonna be like, I am going to leave to go play with Jojo Pune. And they're gonna be like, well, I mean, we don't want to lose you, [00:30:10] Speaker C: so our hands are tied at this point. [00:30:12] Speaker B: You did great in 2026, bud. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding a team ceiling later, bud. [00:30:17] Speaker A: He'll Him. [00:30:18] Speaker C: The. The. The supers will reach out to him. I'm gonna be so for real. [00:30:23] Speaker A: Hey, they won Jesper Cup. [00:30:25] Speaker C: They won Casa cup and Charville, actually. [00:30:29] Speaker B: They're gonna be like, you want to join the Casa cup champions? It's gonna be like, I'm in. He's gonna be like, wait, I'm on DN Supers. [00:30:37] Speaker C: They. They could. They could easily retool the roster around this jungler who. So there's jungle. And you know what? It's. It's beyond this point. We should probably talk about the lc. [00:30:48] Speaker A: So LEC is how we started all of this as we went into LCK and LCS narratives, leaving the Supers as [00:30:55] Speaker D: soon as he has the chance. [00:30:56] Speaker A: Okay, so, yes, MCO are imploding. They are not doing well. They might make playoffs. I'm not expecting to at this point. I want people's opinions as to what the hell's going on. Like, what has happened to this MCOIL team that has caused such a big fall off that they lost to Sk? [00:31:22] Speaker B: JoJo's not showing up to practice. On time. Oh, no, I am. I am joking. That is a joke. I was just, you know, because of prior stuff. That was a joke. [00:31:33] Speaker C: Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. [00:31:36] Speaker A: Badger to your point yesterday, with them in the standings, they shouldn't be. [00:31:39] Speaker C: No, they should. [00:31:39] Speaker A: Not to say that they're. Oh, they only lost to a team that's like right at their level. No MCO is supposed to be a top three team in the lec. They're currently seventh in the standings and show no signs of improvement. I'm gonna say it. My goat, Merwin is washed. Oh, my God. [00:31:58] Speaker C: So it's so over for Merwin. Honestly. [00:32:01] Speaker A: Yeah, I love him. I really do. I. I'm gonna be cheering for him forever. We need more bald representation in pro play. But I just don. He has been like, he's a detriment to the team when the clutch moments need to happen. Everybody has main character syndrome on this team, but Merwin especially, like, he just thinks he has to be the guy to like win the the fight or win the moment and he just keeps up. You think they play along with that? [00:32:28] Speaker D: Supa will be the condition that wins this game. [00:32:32] Speaker C: Yes. [00:32:32] Speaker D: Wins any game. It's just a matter of does he win it for his team or does he turn his brain off, randomly get caught in mid lane on a Ezreal and lose the game game. [00:32:41] Speaker C: Like that's what I was gonna make that exact same point. [00:32:44] Speaker D: Caught this much. [00:32:47] Speaker C: It was kind of impressive. Like, you know, you think of Ezreal is one of the safest ads that you could possibly imagine. Just given the kit and it's like, oh, hey, by the way. Oh well, Supa just got caught again. Guys, hold on. I mean, it was. It was Merwin being the detriment of the team in game one, and then it was super being the detriment of the demon came to it. I'm like, okay, maybe. Maybe the panic is starting to settle in a little bit. Oh, no. I. I also would hit the panic button right now. [00:33:17] Speaker A: I think it's so. Yeah, well, the panic button was hit back in spring. I mean, you remember their coach mentioning like, hey, if. If gameplay doesn't improve, we will look at making changes. That was in spring. In summer, much harder to make changes. They never actually went through with it in spring. And I think that that coach is looking back thinking, I wish I had. I should have. [00:33:38] Speaker D: He basically said, there's a reason we have not renewed Merwin and Supa. They are playing for their jobs and unfortunately, I don't think they're gonna have one on mcoin next year. [00:33:50] Speaker A: No. And that's an interesting question then is if JoJo wants to leave, he will. But what would it take to keep JoJo on that roster? What top laner and AD carry would they need to sign to, like, keep JoJo around? I can't think of any LEC top laners off the top of my head. That would be like, oh, that's the guy that's gonna keep him interested in this team. Maybe Knock Knocko. [00:34:15] Speaker D: Knock Knocko. But he's still under contract with Vitality. [00:34:17] Speaker A: Yeah, Vitality are gonna charge a hefty penny for anybody to pick up that guy. Like, they want to hold on to Knock Knocko forever. Honestly. [00:34:29] Speaker D: Maybe JoJo goes to Vitality. [00:34:33] Speaker A: Honestly, that would be cool. Jojo Carzi. [00:34:39] Speaker B: Fleshy. [00:34:40] Speaker C: Holy. That's. Okay. You know what? You just. You just created the. The second team of the LEC right there with that one. Or maybe can we call KC the second team of the one team region? [00:34:54] Speaker A: Are the first team right now. [00:34:56] Speaker C: Well, I mean, yeah, but like. Like, you know how we always say that LEC is a one team region because of G2? [00:35:02] Speaker A: Yeah, true. [00:35:02] Speaker C: Like, has Casey earned themselves the right to be, you know, make it a two team region? Yeah. [00:35:12] Speaker D: Until then. [00:35:14] Speaker C: Okay, you know what? That's a reasonable thing to say. [00:35:17] Speaker A: So it's. I think we're all in agreement. It's way higher chance that JoJo leaves than Mkoy finally around. So McOil is next year. Like, dude, they're gonna have to do a full roster rebuild essentially. Like, who would you keep if you're. I'm coy. I don't even know if Elio. You probably keep Eliol. [00:35:38] Speaker D: He's like their brand right now. [00:35:40] Speaker A: Like he is. [00:35:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you keep Alvaro as well? [00:35:43] Speaker D: They just extended over for another year, so I guess him. [00:35:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:48] Speaker D: Do you try and stick with the whole we are a Spanish team? All of our. Almost all of our players are Spanish angle. [00:35:56] Speaker C: Who's the Spanish mid laner then? [00:35:59] Speaker D: That's the exception they have. [00:36:01] Speaker C: That's. [00:36:01] Speaker D: That's what led them to get JoJo to begin with. [00:36:03] Speaker C: Is there's no evil. Yes. [00:36:05] Speaker A: Put a mustache on Poby Ex Pepin. [00:36:08] Speaker C: Pepin Arrow. Is he come out of retirement? [00:36:14] Speaker A: There we go. Now we're talking. Well, it's all hypotheticals. That could be an entire off season episode just hypothesizing where players could go. We just expect changes at mcoil and them not to be better than they are this year. Jojo most likely moving somewhere else. McCoy's doomed. I don't think they're making playoffs. I think that this is going to be an embarrassing start to playoffs where they have to host and they're not even participating. [00:36:41] Speaker C: They're gonna get. [00:36:42] Speaker A: But there were other upsets that happened. There were other upsets that happened. I actually, we kind of. I prepped you guys that I wanted to have this conversation with LEC because there's just so many games that's like tough to talk about each individual one. But there were enough upsets. I think it's interesting to open it up that way. I wanted us all to present what we thought the biggest upset of the weekend was because our predictions were actually pretty bad. Usually LEC has been easy to predict, but there were a lot of surprises. Let's just go top to bottom again. Bigel, what was your upset of the week for lec? [00:37:11] Speaker D: Honestly, it wasn't even a series. It was the fact that shifters nearly managed to beat KC in the series. It took a game off off them. [00:37:19] Speaker A: True. Yeah. A game alone is enough. But making Casey sweat for it. When Casey. [00:37:25] Speaker D: They had a lead in game two too, they almost. [00:37:28] Speaker C: It was almost a two zero. Yeah. [00:37:30] Speaker A: Yeah. Dude, think about this way. Casey has dropped two games, all split. One was to G2 at second place and the other is to shifters that have not won a series. [00:37:40] Speaker D: I'm gonna be honest, I was watching that series into game two when shifters had the lead. I'm like, I did not put my. My foot in my mouth this badly when I said there's no chance in hell that KC doesn't go undefeated. On the podcast, when we were talking about KC versus Team Liquid and going [00:37:55] Speaker A: undefeated, could you imagine their only opponent this week was shifters. And they go. They lose before Team Liquid. God, that would have been nuts. Okay, that's a good one. I like that. Badger, I'm gonna let you go next. Then Yanni, then I'll. I'll write here. So, Badger, what was your. [00:38:13] Speaker C: How serious G2 is taking it? I. I feel like at this point you have to take all of your games serious if you're a team like this in playoffs. But like G2 losing the giant X. Yeah. Was not on my bingo card. And the way that they did it too. [00:38:29] Speaker A: All of us expected a 2o smash. GX really stepped up. They. They 2o team heretics. That's not like that impressive. But then taking down G2 as well puts him in a soft. [00:38:42] Speaker C: Had a really good performance against the Dark too. And they really wasted a fantastic like Skew Mon Lee Sin game. [00:38:50] Speaker D: Oh, poor Skew mon. [00:38:52] Speaker C: I I, I, I. He might be saying this guy's hollow. Legends to Cat. I mean, I wasn't Captain's fault that game either. [00:39:00] Speaker A: Oh wait, is cabs. Are they.0% win rate since Caps got [00:39:05] Speaker D: their whole lives Since Caps made. [00:39:06] Speaker A: Oh, that's so funny. Actually, I didn't even think about that. [00:39:10] Speaker D: Badger. You're saying it's not on Caps but the ending of game three where Cap. Yeah, the Bard Portal. [00:39:18] Speaker A: That's pretty bad. [00:39:19] Speaker C: That's pretty bad. I mean everything leading up to that wasn't Caps's fault. Why they were losing that game. [00:39:26] Speaker D: Game one, level one or level two? [00:39:31] Speaker C: Yeah, so. Yeah. But no, G2 has not won a series since Caps became Hall of Legends, so. [00:39:40] Speaker A: Wow. Well, technically he's not yet. It's just been announced that he will be inducted. Or has he officially been in? I don't remember if they. They did like a celebration on lec, but was that his. It like his addition to it or are they doing it at Worlds? Because I thought they do it. [00:39:57] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:57] Speaker B: I always count the induction when they release the. The patch with the Skins. [00:40:02] Speaker C: Okay. [00:40:02] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Once it's like official. Official. But they like did a whole thing where he was up on stage and they congratulated him. And since that moment, he is not. [00:40:11] Speaker B: I can't believe they're getting me again. [00:40:14] Speaker A: Oh yeah, the TR is confirmed now. [00:40:16] Speaker D: We've. [00:40:16] Speaker C: Yeah, it's. It's all right. [00:40:18] Speaker B: I can't believe they're getting me for another $250. [00:40:22] Speaker A: Are you getting the TR skin? [00:40:23] Speaker B: Tristana and Orianna are my. Some of my favorite champions. In fact. [00:40:28] Speaker A: Thank you for funding the future of league esports. [00:40:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's. That's what I thank you for. [00:40:32] Speaker C: Funding my niece's 2041. [00:40:36] Speaker B: That's what I tell myself, right? Like I get. I get my. I get my invoice from LPL English and I'm like right back into the ecosystem, baby. [00:40:46] Speaker A: A true gentleman. True gentleman. Yanni, what was your upset of the weekend? Do you agree with one of the ones I already said or do you have a different one? [00:40:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I still agree with this Skm Koi, you know, just because. [00:40:59] Speaker A: Oh yeah, yeah. [00:41:00] Speaker B: Regardless of the standings and where they're at, I try to take a look at the players holistically and the teams holistically because sometimes. And it really feels like this year more than ever, it's a week to week league. [00:41:13] Speaker C: The. [00:41:13] Speaker B: The more consistent you are, like the better your team is going to be. But, like, there are some times where a really good team will just come out and they will just not have a good week. [00:41:21] Speaker A: Right. [00:41:21] Speaker B: Like, not everybody will be firing on all cylinders. It is what it is. We are losing to Wonder and Mickey X in the big 26, man. [00:41:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:31] Speaker C: If you're getting gapped by Wonder right [00:41:33] Speaker B: now, you gotta wonder why you're playing top lane. [00:41:35] Speaker C: You gotta wonder why you're playing. [00:41:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Speaking of wondering why they're playing top lane, my upset of the weekend, actually, none of. None of it's not the same as any of yours. Can I guess Navi beating fanatic. [00:41:52] Speaker B: How the hell did that happen? [00:41:53] Speaker A: There's no way Fnatic. They were supposed to win out the split. They're supposed to go to Worlds. Fanatic asleep at the wheel a little bit here and sober. [00:42:02] Speaker B: Oh. [00:42:02] Speaker A: Having a disastrous series against Mainter specifically in that game too. Relax. Also gets to plays Zahen, which is basically just like his champ now. It's like synonymous with him and some d just kind of giga Gapped upset. [00:42:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:42:20] Speaker A: That was crazy. That was crazy. [00:42:23] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:42:24] Speaker A: Problem with how we say his name. [00:42:25] Speaker C: Can we. [00:42:26] Speaker B: Can we remind you of the world [00:42:27] Speaker C: or is it just your ups? Is the biggest upset the fact that upset was, you know. [00:42:33] Speaker A: Oh, no, I'm just upset about it. [00:42:35] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Okay, Got it. Yeah. Your predictions, you and I, you and I went in on the Fanatic against Navi and, you know, we were not granted the fruits of our labor. [00:42:48] Speaker A: Fanatic can turn it around. They can still beat Vitality and take that third seed for Worlds for lec. That would be hilarious. All right, cool. The lec. There was a lot of craziness that happened this past weekend, actually. Series to watch. We also usually cover that. Bickle, I'm gonna give it to you this time. What series would you recommend people go back and watch if they only have time to catch one series of LEC, honestly? [00:43:13] Speaker D: Well, G2GX is always a solid option, but KC Shifters was a better series than you'd expect. [00:43:20] Speaker A: Okay. Also just for the excitement of shifters showing signs of life even though they're out of playoff contention. And it's like once the team's out, they have nothing to lose and they suddenly just start, like, playing better. It's so weird. Okay, cool. This coming week, we have only three days of games. It is saved, everybody. No more of this crazy four. Four days of broadcast weekends. It's been really tough to keep up with over in Europe. That said, there's actually only one less Series [00:43:56] Speaker B: babies. [00:43:58] Speaker A: Sunday, they're packet three and hey, shut up. We don't all cast lpl, okay? Some of us are still fresh and true. [00:44:06] Speaker B: I am falling asleep at the Wheeler schedules. [00:44:08] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:44:09] Speaker A: Hey, I appreciate you being here. [00:44:11] Speaker B: Oh yeah. [00:44:11] Speaker A: It's gonna be Friday. Saturday, Sunday broadcast. Friday's Team Heretic Shifters. We almost all have team Heretics. Yanni does believe in shifters. Oh yeah, Yanni, is this just because signs of life that they showed against Casey, it's really hard to go winless. [00:44:23] Speaker B: Gu. I mean, EDG in LPL was a team that we like essentially left for dead. And they had very few redeeming qualities compared to like all of the other teams, like large skill gap and they even managed to get two wins. So I think that the Shifters could absolutely do it. [00:44:42] Speaker A: You know what, that was good enough for me to change my argument. I also think it's always funny when a team that's out of playoffs is just drags another team down with them for nothing. Yeah, I mean, get in here with us heretics. You're not going in playoffs either. [00:44:55] Speaker B: Playing for pride, you know that they circled this on the calendar like exactly. You know, they were like, hey, this is our chance to go get a win, guys. Now literally, they may have sacrificed Nuke for it, but that's okay. [00:45:08] Speaker A: Hey, Nuke wants to end on a high note and that's not going to be against Vitality. So speaking of Vitality versus Fnatic is the next series on that Friday. We all have Vitality across the board. Saturday, KC versus sk. We all have Casey across the board. This is their last game of the split. This, this is all they have to do to go undefeated in LEC. Take down the 8th place team who are tied with McCoy to be fair. But still, it should be easy work for Vitality. Hopefully their series against Shifter was an outlier. Okay, Navi versus GX is also on Saturday. I have GX Badger as GX Bickel has GX again. Yanni, man, you're really trying to catch up in LEC prediction, aren't you? You got Navi going 2 and 1 1. I saw enough signs of life from GX these past couple of weeks that I think Flock it and June are a really solid bot Lane. Yzma is more enabled to play aggressive jungle style when he's got a top lane like Oscar Renin. I. I just like this look of GX currently. Diani, do you have any big thoughts as to why Navi takes this one? [00:46:12] Speaker B: Just remember what I said about consistency, right? Like GX came in. [00:46:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:15] Speaker B: And you know, had an amazing week. Do we really think that this team is like a consistent level team with like Casey or G2 or anything like that? If your answer is no, it's likely that they. They're going to drop a series at some point and this seems like it's going to be one of the very. They've got two very competitive series coming up. I expect them to split. [00:46:39] Speaker A: Okay. Then on Sunday is Shifters vitality. This is the first of three series that will happen this day. We all have vitality across the board. We do not think that shifters lightning will strike tw MCOID versus Team Heretics. Everybody has MCO except for myself. I actually am so down on MCOH right now. I think they. [00:47:00] Speaker C: You're psychotic. [00:47:02] Speaker A: I think they lose to team Heretics. I think team Heretics is going to be pissed off that they lost to Shifters and are going to show up and then be like, let's drag another team with us. We got dragged out of playoffs. Hemcoy, come with us. It's just going to be. It's like. It's like that game where you like. What's the monkey game where there's all the plastic monkeys and their arms wrap around each other. [00:47:20] Speaker B: Barrel. [00:47:21] Speaker A: Monkeys in the barrel. It's gonna be monkeys in the barrel. It's gonna be just teams dragging each other out of the playoff race. I got team Heretics taking it. Fnatic vs G2 or. Sorry. GX is the last series on Sunday. I still have faith in fanatics. Same with Yanni. Split cast. Bickle and Badger have gx. Bickle, why do you think GX is better than Fnatic? [00:47:41] Speaker D: I just don't think Fnatic's good. I think they were hot, then cold, [00:47:46] Speaker A: then hot and then they were. [00:47:49] Speaker D: They were ahead for half a game. Game. And then they choked it. And I just think it'd be very fitting if Fnatic has every opportunity to make playoffs and then by losing out in their final week, they miss playoffs. [00:48:01] Speaker A: No, that's not fun. I don't like that. [00:48:06] Speaker B: Boo. [00:48:07] Speaker A: I mean, it is. It's fairly likely to happen. Boo. Come on. All right, well, that's our thoughts on LEC from this past week as well as predictions for this coming week. It is the last weekend of regular season 4 Leck. Then they will be entering playoffs and joining the likes of LPL and LCK in their playoff run. LCS is going to be a little slower. I don't know about C. Lowell or LCP. What's going on with those. But it's time to talk. [00:48:34] Speaker C: I was able to finish for the year. [00:48:36] Speaker D: Yeah. They're down to their final three teams. [00:48:41] Speaker C: Yes. [00:48:41] Speaker A: That's crazy. Okay, so does that mean they have their three world reps? [00:48:46] Speaker D: No, but they do have their second world rep, which we completely forgot to mention. [00:48:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:51] Speaker D: Congrats to MVK Esports. [00:48:54] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:48:56] Speaker D: Formerly known as Vikings. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I was going to say, I'm pretty sure that's the tricode that the Vikings had. [00:49:00] Speaker D: Yep. [00:49:00] Speaker A: So was originally. [00:49:02] Speaker D: But yeah, they have been playing finals. Team Secret Whales is already in finals. Nobody's surprised there. They've gone through the upper bracket, losers bracket. The only game left is CFO vs MVK. If CFO beats MVK, they qualify for Worlds. If MV K beats CFO because of championship points, GAM qualifies for Worlds. [00:49:28] Speaker A: Interesting. Okay, good to know. Well, we'll keep our eyes on that then for next week's episode and be filling out the actual official. We don't have the list yet. Usually we do on the dock, but we can have that for next week of like all the teams that will be at Worlds. We can update that week over week. But for now, let's hop across the pond over to North America and the LCS broadcast. We had four more series of games this past weekend and with it being the pro takeover, that was exciting from a kind of novelty standpoint also, it was the bottom four teams playing against each other. We kind of expected Fly Quest to be in the top four and Shopify Rebellion to be in the bottom four. Just be candidly from the broadcast standpoint, but it's funny how it just happens to work out that nope, it was the bottom four against each other. One team definitely stood up above the rest though. But before we get into all that, Yanni, run me through the current LCS standings. From top to bottom. Who's in playoffs and who is knocked out? Because we actually have our entire not playoff like seeding scenario locked in. But we know the six teams in playoffs well. [00:50:35] Speaker B: It's very odd because due to Team Liquid, Shopify, C9 and Lion not playing, we have a new team in the top two. First of all, they are still for. Hey listen, what place are they in right now? We have team Liquid in first place at 4.0- completely undefeated and in second place after a really big week. We have Sentinels at 4, 9 and 6 in game score. Tied for third place. Still Cloud 9 and lion and Shopify Rebellion actually still in third. Tied for third. So three way tied for third fly quest sitting there in sixth at 2 and 4 and then disguised and Dignitas rounding things out. 1 and 5 and oh and 6 apiece. But I think the more important thing is all of our playoff teams are locked in. [00:51:21] Speaker A: Exactly. Playoffs are locked for who's going to be participating. Now it's fighting for seating. Unfortunately, Disguise and Dignitas are both knocked out. They will have games to play on week seven. So not this coming weekend, which is going to be in Mexico City hosted by Lyons with the top four teams playing. DSG Indignitas will have a week off and have to play one final basically exhibition match for their year, while the rest of the teams are fighting to see who gets the round one buy. Because that's how it works for lcs. It's different from lec, where in LEC there's a lower bracket. So fifth and sixth seed go into the lower bracket. Everybody else is in the upper bracket with double lives. In our format, everybody has two lives. It is first and second seed get a round one buy, which I think is a little cooler. I actually like that more personally. But you know, bias aside. Yeah, Sentinels definitely stood head and shoulders above the rest. I mean, yes, they're kind of like jokingly in second place right now, but they smashed Fly2O. They smashed DSG2O. I did not think really for a many moments that Sentinels were not going to go undefeated this weekend. Like when you watch their games, it was like, yeah, no, this, this team is. This team's pretty solid. Even when Impact gets put behind it. Actually again, it jokingly but weirdly, consistently he has a higher win rate when he's down 30Cs at 15 minutes than when he has a normal game. They. They checked. I don't know if anybody caught this on broadcast, but Jad did a whole thing. He checked the lifelong win rates of Impact. Lifelong. What do you think his win rate [00:52:54] Speaker B: is [00:52:57] Speaker A: in Impact's entire career? [00:52:58] Speaker C: What do we think fit? 58. Okay. [00:53:04] Speaker A: Johnny or Bickle? [00:53:09] Speaker D: Probably right around 60. I want to say. [00:53:12] Speaker B: I'm gonna say 62%, thinking what? [00:53:17] Speaker A: Okay, so Badger was closest, I believe. I don't remember the exact one. I believe it was like 55.8% or something. [00:53:25] Speaker B: I was gonna say at first, but I was like, there's no pretty solid. I was like, there's solid, there's got to be more. [00:53:32] Speaker A: Well, it's cuz he was also on some bad teams. [00:53:35] Speaker C: There were some bad teams in the middle there. [00:53:37] Speaker A: Like he was on the fly team. That was, you know. But Anyway, anyway, so that's his normal win rate. What do we think his win rate is when he's down 30Cs or more at 15 minutes? 75, 83. [00:53:51] Speaker D: It's like, it's like 65. I want to say it's like at least, least plus 10%. [00:53:56] Speaker A: I want to say it was 63 point something. So it was almost a full 10% higher. His win rate goes up when he's getting fisted. It is the funniest stat I think I've ever seen for a, for a pro player. And me and me and Jet talked about it off camera. We both agreed. I think a big part of it is that when he's on good teams he doesn't play carries, he just plays tanks and he goes down and he plays weak side top lane. Also he was on Team Liquid during the lane swap meta which was you're going down perma CS in lane swap meta. That didn't even really count. He was on team Liquid during the meta where the top laner followed the jungler around and helped them clear. So like he was on interesting teams. Like he was on good teams during interesting metas that were not good for CS for top laners. But also on top of that when he was on team Liquid and now when, when he's on sentinels and teams like this and he has carries he trusts, he just plays or. And he just plays Cassante. He just plays the. The tanks and stuff. You know I, I also just part [00:55:00] Speaker C: of that is he was always one of the best players in lane swaps. Like. Yeah, genuinely speaking like of all the players that were getting lane swapped on, he was the top laner that seemed to thrive in that situation the most. [00:55:18] Speaker A: Which actually now that I think about it more, I don't even know if lane swap, if you'd hold it against it because if the other top laner is also in a 1v2, that's. [00:55:27] Speaker C: Yeah, you know what, that's true. [00:55:29] Speaker A: Yeah, I, I don't know. I don't know what it is but something about impact weird to think about destroyed in lane. He actually does better in the game. We saw some of that this weekend. Sentinels overall were the best team and I think that they have a real shot of competing for that third seed at Worlds. I actually at this point I'm so low on FlyQuest best. I think Shopify. I love them. I'm never gonna stop rooting for them. I think their 3 in 1 record is a little fraudulent with their strength of schedule and they will fall off. Whereas Sentinels is going to be competing with Cloud 9 for the, the third spotted worlds. Do people think I'm crazy? Is, is this too hot of a take or is this. [00:56:04] Speaker B: No, no, no, I think it's fine. [00:56:07] Speaker A: Yeah. All right. [00:56:09] Speaker D: I don't think there's a definitive third seed right now. It's kind of depressing. [00:56:14] Speaker A: Yes, it's very contentious. I, I think FlyQuest could still surge. I think Shopify could surprise us. There's actually four teams that are fighting for that third spot. The only thing I'm guaranteed like gonna put money on. I'm not gonna put money on. I would like, you know what I mean? Lion and Team Liquid are the top two. Like, like those two teams are, are the, the best in the region. [00:56:33] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:56:33] Speaker A: And it's very exciting that we get to see them this coming weekend. But I want to talk about one other team now. Fly Quest went one and one this past weekend and they're in a position that Shopify was in last split where they could make playoffs with their only wins being against the two teams below them in disguised and dig. That's how Shopify makes you show up [00:56:54] Speaker C: and you take care of business against the teams that you need to at that point. [00:56:57] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:56:58] Speaker C: That's all it is. [00:57:01] Speaker A: I think they're saving Grace is their last week opponent, I believe is Shopify. I have it right here. Let me just confirm. Yeah, so Shopify, if they are fraudulent and they bomb out in Mexico and don't look very good, then that's at least like a target for Fly Quest. Be like, okay, we can beat Shopify and go from six to fifth seed, but I think that that's not that big of a difference actually. I think about it maybe that is because if we're assuming Team Liquid and Lion 1 2, if you're their sixth seed, you would play against the third seed going into playoffs which would probably be cloud nine. Whereas if you're in fifth seed, you're probably against Sentinels, which will most likely be in fourth if everything just kind of goes according to plan. So actually, you know what, you would definitely much rather play sentinels than C9, now that I think about it, in first round of playoffs. So maybe that is a more impactful match than I'm giving a credit right now. But FlyQuest as a whole, I want to do the same thing that we did for MCOI over in the LEC. What are our thoughts on what's happening at FlyQuest? Let's go bottom to top this time. Yanni, what are your thoughts on FlyQuest as a team currently. And what's happening over there? [00:58:13] Speaker B: Oh, I'm so depressed. I. You know, I said nice things about FlyQuest going into the split. I was like, I think they're gonna get this last world spot. I have said two nice things. I've said nice things about two teams this year. Shopify Rebellion and FlyQuest, and look where it's gotten me. I am no longer saying anything nice about the LCS teams. [00:58:34] Speaker A: Oh, no. Yeah. Well, at least we know who to blame. [00:58:39] Speaker B: I. You know, I said nice things about lion, too, and their jungler's been on vacation trying to marry JoJo Pool or something. [00:58:46] Speaker A: He tried. He tried to make you eat your words there, but unfortunately, the rest of the team is a little too good. [00:58:52] Speaker C: We figured out the real reason why Inspired took three weeks. [00:58:56] Speaker A: Yanni shot him a dm. Like, look, man, I. Or maybe Inspires, just a listener of the pot. [00:59:00] Speaker B: He just. He said he was. [00:59:01] Speaker D: He was. [00:59:01] Speaker B: He's going to marry John Jojo. That's how he's gonna come. [00:59:04] Speaker C: Inspired had to visit. [00:59:05] Speaker B: He's gonna get him a resident card playing. [00:59:08] Speaker A: Could you imagine if that's actually, like, him coming. It was all a lie. He was just in Europe to the, like, go poach Jojo for Lion. [00:59:15] Speaker B: That'd be so funny, dude. [00:59:17] Speaker A: Let's start. Let's start a rumor on the pod. [00:59:19] Speaker C: Okay? [00:59:19] Speaker B: Weeks off of my split to go hang out with my boy. Maybe that's why MKOI playing. [00:59:25] Speaker A: Well, wait a minute. [00:59:28] Speaker B: You know, all right, we said that, girl. [00:59:31] Speaker A: All right. [00:59:31] Speaker B: Boyfriends are now also bad for the lcs. Bo. [00:59:36] Speaker A: I don't think I've ever done this before, but it'd be really funny if listeners of this show started, like, spreading that. Don't even say you heard it on this podcast. Just be like, oh, yeah, I heard it. I just heard it. [00:59:46] Speaker C: I just heard that Inspired was very [00:59:47] Speaker B: cool to me when I met him four times in one day. [00:59:50] Speaker A: So, yeah, no, Inspire is a cool guy. [00:59:53] Speaker B: He's great. I love that, man. That guy's good. [00:59:55] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:59:55] Speaker A: In person, he's about almost the same as he is in, like, all the silly content where he's just, like, super honest and brutal, but he's a little kinder in person because, like, he's. He's just a normal guy. He's just like, oh, hi. [01:00:07] Speaker C: Like, how's it going? [01:00:08] Speaker A: He's not going to flame you to your face, you know, he signed a magic card. Oh, hell, yeah. [01:00:13] Speaker C: That's sick. [01:00:14] Speaker A: Let's go. [01:00:14] Speaker D: What's hilarious is that say JoJo comes back somehow. Lion would be the only team with five NA residents. [01:00:25] Speaker A: That's ridiculous to think about, but technically, yeah. Yeah, technically true. Okay. Badger, did we get your thoughts on Fly Quest? I don't remember if I had. [01:00:38] Speaker C: I. I mean, I have nothing good to say, so I'm gonna say nothing at all. So. [01:00:42] Speaker A: Fair enough. [01:00:43] Speaker C: Congratulations. You beat Dignitas. You. You made playoffs. Like, yeah, yeah, it's. It's kind of rough. It's. It's rough patch for them at this point. I. I think the ceiling of this team is maybe upsetting who they play, who they play in the first round of playoffs. But like, like, outside of that, I don't. I don't have any faith in this team at this point. I mean, it's still young roster. Griffin's got moments where he looks great and then there's moments where, yeah, yeah, [01:01:18] Speaker A: this team is basically, you know, the LPL meme that was like, oh, if you're ahead, you should fight to get to push your lead. If you're. You should fight to get a lead. If you're behind, you should fight to get back into the game. Game. I feel like that encapsulates Fly Quest where like, their. Their game plan is like, okay, no matter what the game state is, let's invade, let's contest, let's fight them. And it makes for semi entertaining games, but it's not going to get you a lot of wins in the current. It almost feels like old 100 Thieves, you know? You remember like the old 100 Thieves roster where it's like, oh, yeah, they just fight us for zero reason. Like, we don't know why they're fighting us, but sometimes it takes you by surprise. I feel like that's kind of Fly Quest sim mo, but with, like Biggle says, a dark hole in the top lane. [01:02:02] Speaker C: Unfortunately, like Biggle said, the MLXG or the mlxd, if you. If you subscribe to that theory as well. [01:02:11] Speaker A: Bickle thoughts on Fly Quest to close us out here. [01:02:14] Speaker D: It's sad. We'll always have that lovely memory of their run back in spring when they looked so exciting and so full of joy and potential. And now everything's just depressing. [01:02:30] Speaker A: Yeah, I. I have a theory. [01:02:33] Speaker C: Okay. [01:02:33] Speaker A: That flyQuest going on a road trip ruins their mental and their team's energy. They have not looked the same since they went on that road trip. And I think Griffin gave. Everyone on the team has said, oh, Griffin gave me the ick. I think he gave too many people to ick. [01:02:48] Speaker B: No. [01:02:48] Speaker A: Realize that Griffin was a zooted up. [01:02:50] Speaker D: No. [01:02:50] Speaker A: Gen Z. Get off his phone. [01:02:52] Speaker B: I know what it is. Yes. So you remember when they, like, stopped and they, like, pulled over and it was like night time or whatever? He got taken over by a skinwalker. Oh, [01:03:04] Speaker A: wait a minute. [01:03:05] Speaker B: Playing jungle for FlyQuest. And that's why he gave them all the ick. They know something's not right with this guy. [01:03:11] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Breaking news was in Arizona. You heard it here first. You heard it here first. Yeah. [01:03:17] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [01:03:18] Speaker A: How. [01:03:18] Speaker B: How did we not know this? How do we not put this together? [01:03:22] Speaker A: I. The writing was on the wall. It was. All the evidence was in front of us, and we just needed a brain as big as Yanni. [01:03:28] Speaker B: The call was coming from inside the. The van or whatever. [01:03:31] Speaker A: They drove inside the trailer. [01:03:34] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Wow. All right. [01:03:36] Speaker A: Well, hey, that's one of many theories as to what could be happening. All we know is that Fly Quest look like a shell of their spring split selves. Still time to turn it around. But they're gonna have to put a lot of work in to do it. [01:03:48] Speaker B: Teachers can walk into play league. [01:03:51] Speaker A: I don't think that would be wise. [01:03:54] Speaker B: Why not? [01:03:57] Speaker A: I will. Honestly. That's probably. That's like, kind of like my average Nico, man. [01:04:01] Speaker B: Wrong role. We got to put him in a role where he can play Nico. Yeah. [01:04:06] Speaker A: Ah. Changing shapes or Silas or Viego. That's all they're allowed to play. [01:04:09] Speaker B: Yeah, sure. That's good. I like that. [01:04:12] Speaker A: No more cages. Best line from Silas. [01:04:15] Speaker D: Anyway. [01:04:16] Speaker A: DSG and Dig big out of playoffs. Sad to see the Dardoch experiment kind of fell on its head. I think he's playing okay. He was definitely over aggro this past weekend, and I think that he's already feeling like he has to take things into his own hands and, like, make things happen. But this team just couldn't get it together in time. Three game wins, exciting for them, but couldn't pick up a series. DSG were able to take them down 20 in their series to pick up DSG's first series win of. Of the year. And they're also out of playoffs. So dsg, basically the next thing that they're looking at is defending their promo relegation spot. They're the guest team in the lcs and they will have to play the top teams in The NaCl and LRN. The. [01:05:05] Speaker B: The. [01:05:06] Speaker A: The Northern Latin American League. [01:05:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:05:08] Speaker A: That has tier two teams seated in as well. They defended it last year. We'll see if they can defend it again this year. Year the roster never really fully came together unfortunately. Despite some great plays from call me, I think he's kind of the shining star with Serdi on the team. Cryra had a great pantheon game and great series against Dignitas in general. But outside of that series against Dignitas and his debut series against Inspired funnily enough on Lion, I think Cryra still has a lot to prove as well. And God, let's get a support that actually plays League of Legends to play with Sajed before I can actually determine if suggest Jed. [01:05:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:05:46] Speaker A: Belongs in the lcs. [01:05:47] Speaker B: He does. So that guy definitely has the sauce, [01:05:48] Speaker C: man, I swear Sajet is I think such as good. [01:05:52] Speaker A: I. I think potential. It's easier to say what a pro thinks about a fellow pro, especially in their role because Sven on Saturday actually gave his opinion on the bot lane and it's always I think going to be more insightful to hear that because he has much more information and like direct experience with him. He was like, like it's hard to tell where Sajed is when he's playing with the worst player in the league in his in his lane. Cuz like I see Sajed leave lane down and I see him in bad positions but I never know if it's his fault or if it's because he's playing with Lions. And it's like yep. I mean like you said it Sven. I'm happy you said it because that's. That's the reality of it. [01:06:31] Speaker B: What if Sven goes. I can fix him and next year comes back to support what if. [01:06:37] Speaker C: Okay, so question. I know that you guys don't have the rules for this in front of you and I don't expect anybody who's on this call right now to know the rules behind this knackle season ends. One of these supports that is down there that doesn't make it like. Let's say like for some reason because who are the favorites at this point? Like nrg, Cupid, Dorado. Yeah, just somebody maybe. Maybe. So like let's say one of those teams doesn't make it. Let's say the unfortunate circumstance happens and Cupid doesn't make it. Is is disguise allowed to just sign Breezy before promotion? [01:07:21] Speaker B: When's. Oh, I mean, I guess there has to be a roster lock for promotion. I wouldn't really know. [01:07:27] Speaker C: I was gonna say is when is the roster lock for promotion? [01:07:34] Speaker A: I don't know actually. I don't even know if promotion tournament has been publicly announced. I don't know when it is. And I don't think that that information has been publicly announced. It's like when it's happening according to [01:07:45] Speaker C: Lepedia, has not been announced as the date. Yeah. So theoretically speaking there's a chance that they just go find a new support before promotion tournament. [01:07:59] Speaker D: They're gonna pull a double lift and bring him in as a mercenary for the promotion. [01:08:03] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just whoever they can. [01:08:04] Speaker A: Can you imagine? Honestly though, it would be his event. Like you were joking about it. But I think it would be Sven because he's on C9 but he's not playing. He's just warming the bench for them. If they Jack publicly said if a player wants to leave, we'll happily let them go. [01:08:19] Speaker B: Could be the veteran voice this team needs. [01:08:21] Speaker A: Dsg, if. If Toast is out there and he has a good month of subscribers on Twitch, he's like, you know what it throw a couple. [01:08:27] Speaker B: He wins the best of metal card in la. [01:08:29] Speaker A: Like ah, true. That could pay for that. [01:08:33] Speaker B: Help you get the buyout. [01:08:35] Speaker A: There we go. All we know is the DSG are [01:08:37] Speaker B: in a tough spot. [01:08:38] Speaker A: Dignitas I think are in a tougher spot. Dignitas is now going to start the long off season of rebuilding the entire project. I have to imagine. [01:08:46] Speaker B: Hear me out. [01:08:47] Speaker A: Think. I think you keep Denethor. I think you keep. I would keep Dardoc. I don't think he got enough time. So I think Den Thor Dardic is what I build around. I'm happy to keep FBI just because I don't know if there's other 80 carries other than maybe like sushi in tier two that you would rather. [01:09:03] Speaker B: It's time. It's time to go. It's time to. It's time to blow this up. Hear me out. [01:09:08] Speaker A: Like all of it. [01:09:09] Speaker B: Oh. I mean, no, no. You keep Denor and I actually like keeping Dardo. I think you blow up the bottom side. It's. It's time. [01:09:15] Speaker A: Keep the double Ds. [01:09:15] Speaker B: It's time to start a new. Hell yeah. They double did triple these because they're on Dignitas. [01:09:20] Speaker D: The tough thing is there is such a need in the league at support and there's just not enough people. [01:09:28] Speaker B: It's time to just go get a. Go get a support from tier two. It's time. [01:09:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:09:35] Speaker B: There are. There are a couple. There are a couple people. Is that who you get? I'd be totally fine. I think that you could get Spica. I think that would actually. Yeah. I mean, yeah, obviously it's. It's up to him. I think that you could reasonably bring up Psycho. I think Obstinate Us is a pretty good option. Obviously. Like, bounty is really, really good for Ole Miss. Obviously. You'd have to prime from Columnar's cold dead hands. Not sure if that's gonna work out. [01:10:02] Speaker C: Yeah, good luck with that one. [01:10:03] Speaker B: Obviously, Breezy is a good option. Like, you do have options here for players that actually are pretty good. Naturally, some of them are unproven, some maybe even unproven in their role. But, I mean, I think at this point, it's, it's time to turn the page and start a new. Unless you do, you do double duty. Right? So as I talk about all the time, the Dignitas team is owned by the Harris Bitzer Blitzer Sports Group, who own the Philadelphia 76ers. We take Sixers GM Mike Gansey, and we put him in charge of Dignitas for the off season so he can do exactly what he did with the 76ers and go get LeBron James and go get Jalen Brown. [01:10:45] Speaker D: Brown. [01:10:45] Speaker B: They. You just. You get the equivalent. You get the equivalent. You sign faker and then carrier and you're good. Boom. [01:10:56] Speaker D: I know it's a different gm, but you're saying that Dignitas needs to trust the process. [01:11:00] Speaker A: I, you know what? [01:11:02] Speaker C: Okay. I, I, I like the idea of that. Until you called Carria Jaylen Brown. [01:11:07] Speaker B: Okay, I was thinking, listen, I was just thinking of a player. Player that was the best player on his team that year and a team that recently had success. You know, that was the first, first thing that came to mind. [01:11:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:11:21] Speaker C: Faker and Canyon. [01:11:22] Speaker A: I think. You know what? I like it. I allow it. I don't even know sports. I know the name Jalen Brown. Don't know who. You know who. [01:11:28] Speaker B: LeBron James. [01:11:28] Speaker A: Done. You know, I know LeBron. Yeah. Bronnie. Bronnie G. I don't know. [01:11:33] Speaker B: That's his son. [01:11:34] Speaker A: I don't know. [01:11:34] Speaker D: Who's the Paul George in this situation? [01:11:36] Speaker B: Yeah, his son's in the league. [01:11:37] Speaker D: League. [01:11:38] Speaker A: Okay. When does Roman Reigns? All right, that's gonna do it for this week's episode. Oh, wait. We didn't do predictions. We didn't do predictions for LCS next week. We got four series. Yeah, I just kind of let it roll for a while because I was curious where that was gonna go, and that went very far away than I expected. We got the top four teams versus each other in Mexico City. This coming weekend. It's Shopify Rebellion versus Team Liquid. Everyone's got Team Liquid, of course, except for you. Wait what's that? I got Shopify. I'm. I'm gonna try the thing like the CLG thing where if I just predict them every time, maybe they'll break my heart long enough that then they'll disappear as an org and then I won't have to cheer for them anymore. [01:12:15] Speaker B: See, what if it's Roman Reigns with a steel chance? [01:12:18] Speaker A: Yeah, no, that would be Sami Zayn with a steel chair just gets hit by the steel. [01:12:22] Speaker B: This is true. [01:12:23] Speaker A: C9 versus lion is gonna be the next one. It's lion across the board. Except for Yachty. You actually think that C9 beat Lion in. How much of that has to do with inspired for the first time? Being back after a while. [01:12:34] Speaker D: All of it. [01:12:34] Speaker B: And they're also not going to be at home either. They're going to be, you know, at a home stand. But this is the road for all those guys. So I. I actually think that's going to have a large impact on the team and you'll. [01:12:45] Speaker A: You'll see no impact on Sentinels. [01:12:47] Speaker B: Oh my God, shut up. You're right though. And I mean and we're. We're all in agreement with the other game. So like I. I think that this is definitely possible. [01:12:56] Speaker A: I actually have. I. I almost put C9 for the same reason that I think that there's going to be some growing pains. Haven't inspired come back on. But then I remembered lion is hosting. The crowd will be behind them. I'm a believer that the crowd having a favorite gives a buff to that team. Just when. When you do something cool. [01:13:14] Speaker B: Yeah, they're doing Baron. [01:13:18] Speaker A: Yeah, true. But I think that that actually can push Line over the edge. But funnily and enough than next series prediction. It's actually the same reason even though I have Team Liquid beating Line because on Sunday it's Lion vs TL. This is the big matchup. Could be two undefeated teams. Or rather not two undefeated teams. Team Liquid could still be undefeated, but it's the top two teams versus each other to kind of determine who's the biggest dog going into playoffs. This will most likely have the biggest implications for seating. Unless Yanni's right. In scene I beat Line. In which case doesn't matter as much. [01:13:50] Speaker C: But. [01:13:50] Speaker A: But I predict this to be a very, very exciting match. In the preview of our NA Summer finals, we all have Team Liquid across the board. That surprises me a little bit. My reason is Jose Deodo is actually gonna win the crowd over because despite the fact that lion is hosting, they do not have an LLA Player Jose [01:14:10] Speaker B: Deodo, that's so valid. [01:14:11] Speaker A: Is an LLA player. I think they will actually cheer for Team Liquid more than they will cheer for Lion. Lion. [01:14:19] Speaker B: That's my prediction. [01:14:20] Speaker A: Yeah. Any other thoughts? Badger on Team Liquid taking down lion, are you similar thought? [01:14:31] Speaker C: I just think they're the best team in the league. Like they're, they're by far the best team we have in North America right now. I don't know how much they're going to gel with Inspired being back at this point. It might just take. Take a couple of series because it feels like they could be playing for playoffs at this point since you know, they're locked into playoffs. But yeah, I don't know. It, it, it'll be. It was gonna be fun to watch. I'm excited to see how the crowd in Mexico City lives up to it. Based on crowds we've seen in Europe on their homestands. [01:15:08] Speaker A: It's gonna be in the lla old, old lla studio. So it's not going to be like a big stadium show right now, but [01:15:14] Speaker C: I still think it's still a small venue. You could still get really loud in [01:15:18] Speaker A: those and we know how loud the South American fans in Brazil get. I don't know if I've actually seen a show in Mexico, now that I think about it, but hopefully it is loud. [01:15:29] Speaker C: I've done plans for Worlds when, when it was in North America the last time around. That's where they did the, that's where they did the play ins. [01:15:37] Speaker B: Cool. [01:15:38] Speaker A: All right, well, there you go. Last series for the weekend is C9 versus Shopify Rebellion. I got Shopify because again, I'm trying to do like a reverse curse curse thing. Badger actually agrees. Shopify 2. 1. That's exciting. Bickle's got C920, Yanni's got C920. I think that's the more reasonable take here. Badger, I'm going to give you the defense because mine's strictly a meme. Why do you think Shopify can take this? [01:16:03] Speaker C: I, I'm still not a believer in C9. I, I will struggle to believe in C9 for the time being. I need them to prove it. I, I just haven't liked what I've seen from them this season with the seven man roster that I don't know if it's actually a seven man roster. [01:16:20] Speaker A: It's not, it's not. It's a five man roster. [01:16:23] Speaker C: It's a five man roster. Yeah. I mean, I again, I still don't know if this fight. Well, I guess, you know, we'll call it the five that they've been playing all season long as part of the seven man roster. I'm still not convinced by and it's going to take a ton to convince me at this point. So I got Shopify 2 to 1 Shopify 2 1. [01:16:48] Speaker A: I like it for disbelief in C9 and that now will do it for the LCS predictions as our thoughts on this past weekend, random thoughts about other tangentially related things in between, and then our thoughts on the coming weekend and predictions there. Thank you for listening to everybody. That was a doozy to get through. Went a little long than usual, but also still shorter than when I first took over the pod where notoriously we were at like an hour 40 every episode. So I think overall I'll call would switch regions. [01:17:18] Speaker C: What are you talking about? [01:17:20] Speaker A: Wait, what? [01:17:21] Speaker C: It would be like an hour and 40 minutes into the show it'd be like, all right, we gotta speed through Europe real fast. [01:17:26] Speaker A: Then I'd be like, ah, you're right, yeah, we didn't talk at all about Europe. You're right, we got through all of the regions that we normally talk about along with all the updates and even some LCP as well. Reminder Worlds seeds are going to be locked in, or rather not seeds, but Worlds teams are going to be locked in week over week. So we'll be updating you on those on future episodes and also we'll be updating you on all the playoff situations happening across the seas in LCK and lpl, along with once we get there for LEC and lcs. If you got it to this point of the episode, Bickle, how many stars would you recommend somebody leave if they have time before they go about their very busy day to drop a review? [01:18:04] Speaker D: That's a good question. They should leave as many members as are likely going to be kicked off of MCOH after this season. [01:18:13] Speaker A: Yeah, that's gonna be five. Yeah, if you could leave a five star review that'd be fantastic. Really helps us get the podcast growing and noticed. More Again, special shout out to everybody who supports us on Patreon and and through the Merch store, you can find the links in the description for both of those. Forgot to do the whole spiel at the beginning of the episode. But also if you want to come join the community Discord, there should be a link for that in the description. Come let us know if there are any talking points that you wish we had talked about that we didn't get to or give any feedback. If you got it. Thanks so much everybody for listening along for another week's episode. If you made it to this point of the podcast, just know that we love you and we'll see you next time. [01:18:49] Speaker C: Bye bye bye, everybody. [01:18:50] Speaker D: Peace. [01:18:51] Speaker A: Bye bye. Oh yes. Daddy. Sa.
