Stupid passes through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. I do not believe he just believe.
[00:00:42] Speaker B: I cannot understand this game.
[00:00:46] Speaker A: Unicorns of love. It wasn't a mutant. The Nexus.
Hello and welcome to episode 611 of the League Rundown. This is your 2026 spring split LEC and LCS playoffs week four review. And this episode is lovingly entitled Somehow even Lazier. Script writers. I'm your host Kangas and I'm joined by two esteemed co hosts. Probably confused by the title since they weren't on last week, but we got some lazy script writers in the LEC and the LCS lately. Up first we have fresh out of the can, it's Badger.
[00:01:32] Speaker C: Man. This. This weekend could have been an email. Really?
I. I don't know how we managed to do it.
[00:01:39] Speaker A: You know what, can we tie that into the title? So lazier.
[00:01:43] Speaker C: Email writers Chad GBT email writers. I. I guess the script was an email.
[00:01:49] Speaker A: I think that's what we got here. Joining us to talk about it, Moselle. Mr. Moselle, pl.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: I'm here in person with Kangas again. So we get to have in person video fun on a audio medium.
[00:02:01] Speaker A: Butt tickle.
[00:02:02] Speaker C: We love visual bits on an audio medium.
[00:02:04] Speaker A: I did it.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: No.
[00:02:05] Speaker A: No one can.
[00:02:06] Speaker B: No one can disprove it.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: Cheek pinch. There we go.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: Boom.
[00:02:11] Speaker A: I'm just saying things now I could be doing.
[00:02:13] Speaker B: Oh, I don't know how you twist the dimples.
[00:02:16] Speaker C: I feel like I'm a third wheel on a date right now. What the hell is going on?
[00:02:20] Speaker A: Let me tell you, there's a lot of eye contact happening.
[00:02:24] Speaker B: Get in here, Badger.
[00:02:25] Speaker C: Ah, let me fly across the country real fast. Hold.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: We had two different leagues of playoffs LEC wrapped up this past weekend. LCS is coming into its final weekend in a couple of days, but we know who's at least going to the Arizona road show. But as Badger was alluding to kind of an email of a weekend, there was one series that was close. The rest of them were pretty one sided. We'll talk about that in a moment. But first, let's get some news around the horn.
No roster news that I've seen this week, but some variety topics. Badger, when did you start playing League of Legends?
[00:03:01] Speaker C: I started playing League of Legends in 2011.
[00:03:04] Speaker A: Well, you might be happy to know. Happy to hear that there is a rumor going around. Slash a leak.
Streamers over in China, AKA Doin BE and Uzi leaked on stream that Riot is working on a League Classic mode. There were no details given us like when it's coming out or what it's gonna look like or what patch it's gonna be on or anything. But what are your thoughts on Elite Classic mode? This is kind of akin to World of Warcraft Classic, which was a great.
[00:03:31] Speaker C: A lot of people were figuring out features that were in the original game that they thought were bugs and Blizzard's like, no, you guys wanted classic World of Warcraft. We're giving you classic World of Warcraft. Hell yeah. So I. I really hope to see Release and Zhao in my nightmares once again. That was a really great time. There was a. A game very early on where I was playing mid lane against a brand and the brand killed me every time I walked back into lane for the first like nine minutes of the game. So that was a pretty great time too. I don't know how I didn't get, you know, sprinting allegations at that point, but I don't think sprinting was even a thing then. So.
[00:04:08] Speaker A: Yeah, this was before those runes were written.
[00:04:10] Speaker C: Yeah, I. I want the holy trinity of 80 carries back, please.
[00:04:17] Speaker A: So that stuff I never actually experienced because I started playing in 2015, so I only ever played on the new map. So I. I don't know what, like what time period it's gonna be. I'm just excited to experience what old looks like and what old units are. Because yeah, I've heard stories of how broken it is, but again, we're gonna talk more about it later because there's really no information as to like what patch. But Badger, I will ask you, what patch do you want it to be?
Like, if you had an ideal, like, what would. Because like that's the thing about League. It's like it's always updating.
[00:04:46] Speaker B: Right. As it goes on.
[00:04:47] Speaker C: There's a pat. Honestly, pick a meta. League of Cleavers was a fun time season. Two worlds I thought was really good. Like, like summer. Summer 2012, like fall 2012, like in there was a really good point. Not a lot of champions. Kind of easy to get into the game at that point.
The. The Juggernaut patch. Oh my God. 20. 2015.
[00:05:13] Speaker A: That was 2015, right?
[00:05:15] Speaker C: 2015 worlds was. Was the one where people were playing Mordekaiser bot. Lane and Darius and Garen were really strong Going into the tournament.
[00:05:22] Speaker A: Balls Pentakill, baby Balls Pentakill. So that's.
So that was my first meta that I ever experienced. Think about that. What's the razor item? The jungle item you would build?
[00:05:34] Speaker C: Not. I was a storm razor.
Blessing of the elder lizard was. Oh God Blue Ezreal. Back in the day with blessing of the Elder Elder lizard you would just build all of the blue eyes.
[00:05:44] Speaker A: I don't even know what any of these are.
[00:05:45] Speaker C: Yeah, you'll. You'll learn pretty quickly there.
It was like man immune and iceborne gauntlet and CD boots and you. Basically it was all I know the build.
[00:05:58] Speaker A: I just don't know that one item that you're.
[00:06:00] Speaker C: Yeah, it's. It was a jungle item that dealt.
Dealt damage over time and healed you.
It was great. Honestly. Fantastic times. We. We missed those days so much.
[00:06:15] Speaker A: Well, yeah, it's gonna be exciting. We'll. We'll give more information as more news comes out. Again, very little details. This is just a leak from a stream, but we don'. Know anything about timeline or kind of what it's going to look like.
But shout out Uzi and Doinby for just leaking that. That's.
So this is the thing about leak stuff. I thought about not talking about it because I hate leaks personally. But once it's out there, it's out there. So I'm like.
But like, man, it would have been so cool if like it had not gotten leaked and this was like a big announcement at some point. Like I don't know what they're doing
[00:06:47] Speaker C: remake on the Nintendo Direct this morning.
[00:06:49] Speaker A: Right.
[00:06:50] Speaker C: It would have been so much cooler if we didn't. If I didn't hear about it like two weeks ago.
Exactly.
[00:06:55] Speaker A: Same thing. So I'm sorry if I just leaked that to anybody else, but because it was blowing up on socials and Twitter and stuff, I just kind of assume people know about it so we can talk about it.
But with that being said, there's other news for the other leagues going on. Mazel. Give me the LPL update. What's happening over in Lipple Land?
[00:07:13] Speaker B: We's train is off the tracks. No. Yeah, it was. It was crazy. It was the. The run of a century being able to beat BLG and AL. But they unfortunately met an unstoppable force in TEs in the upper bracket finals, which means top esports are our first at least of the two representatives for msi. And they look damn good.
Tiena has been really, really good. Been playing a lot of aggressive picks. That's the Thing I'm really excited for is all of our junglers that are in the top three right now are very aggressive in playing all carry picks and like no facilitators almost unless they really, really need to.
And I think we have some of the best jungle roster we have right now in Shun and Tien in our top three. But that being said, we have two more series. We have the finals, which is going to be the winner of we and BLG facing off against Top Esports.
So BLG have a chance to come back after their round one loss to We31 to get revenge after their very long streak in the lower bracket. They had been EDG. They'd be in JDG and now they had beaten Al just a few days ago. 30 they look damn good. It was some of the best macro I'd seen from this team all year and that's saying something. The team's ramping up and it's mostly around Bin and Knight, which should be terrifying to everybody. I think we lost a lot of their steam. We'll see if they can do something about it. But if you want to check that out, that's going to be happening on the 3rd, the night of the 13th on LPL English. If you want to go check us out. Cool. I'll be casting the lower bracket finals and then we'll have the finals coming up on the 14th the next day and we will have desks for both of them.
So we'll have a lot of fun in the pre show and a lot of stuff going on. So go check that out.
[00:09:00] Speaker A: Awesome. Go support LPL English. The unofficial, unofficial slash official broadcast. Look at socials and clips that they pull from it.
But I will echo what Jamada said last week was we better win upper bracket because if not, they're going to lose to an angry BLG in the lower bracket. And unfortunately it seems like that's the future that we're going to be in. So the WWE story was very fun, but it might be cut short. They still have a chance.
[00:09:23] Speaker B: Top Esports match was brutal. I think that's the hardest thing is like if that series was close or if they even showed any life in that series, I think I would feel better about this lower bracket. But they just got smashed. Yeah.
[00:09:35] Speaker A: When you get smashed in the upper bracket. Three zero.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:38] Speaker A: I think low chances of you having faith from the the community going into the next match. We'll talk about that with lcs.
[00:09:44] Speaker B: I will say though, it was super cool. It was like the first time all five of these guys have ever made it that high to even make it to an upper bracket final, which is so cool. And the arena, it was loud. There were so many people, and they had this huge walkout and you could just see it on all the players faces on wp that it was like, it was such a cool moment. Even after their win versus AL in the second round to make it to the upper bracket final, they cried in interviews, saying, like, these moments mean so much and like, I've been driving for this for so long and it was really cool. So I love the W story. I love being able to see new faces in the lpl, make some splashes, but damn, do I need them to lose for BLG and Top Esports to go represent us at msi.
[00:10:24] Speaker A: Because you wanted that golden rug finish for them. They could do it potentially.
All right, Badger, what's going on over in the LCK league? The look league.
[00:10:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:10:35] Speaker A: So have they determined MSI reps yet?
[00:10:38] Speaker C: They will this weekend. We will know by Sunday, Sunday afternoon who's going to be representing the LCK at msi. So the final, the final playoff bracket is hana life and T1 playing in a straight up qualification match. Winner of that is the one seed from Korea. And then the loser of that goes to be the Gauntlet boss. And a.
And a Gauntlet that started with a 30 from Damwon beating Freddie the Artist formerly known as Freddit Brion.
And then Damwon.
Oh, wait, never mind. Dabon got reverse swept by KT and it at a game that they heard about.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I love. I only ever know what's going on in LCK when it's Lore tweeting about it from the lec because she's a KT fan. Yeah. And all I knew, she was like, holy, we won this.
[00:11:32] Speaker C: Yeah, I, I, they were.
It was game three and I was convinced that DAM one was gonna win. So I was like, oh, I'm gonna catch up on some sleep.
Like, I hadn't been feeling well in the last week. And I was like, you know what? It'll be a good time. Just catch up on some sleep. Everything will be fine. And then I wake up and I see that KT1, the Series 3 2. And I was like, hold on, hold on, hold on. And I had to go back and like, watch all through the games. And Damwon. God, I, I don't know how showmaker deals with deals with at this point. So Gen G plays KT in round three of the Gauntlet winner plays the loser of Hanwha. T1 for the last spot. This could be.
[00:12:19] Speaker B: Can I just ask you, Badger, Why. Why the. Why the hell do I see T1 on my screen right now? Like, why. Why is T1 one game away from making him inside? I don't like this.
[00:12:30] Speaker C: Hey, there's.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: We should. So I think we should stop.
[00:12:31] Speaker C: So. So. Okay.
[00:12:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:34] Speaker C: You might be. You might be familiar with this guy. There's this. There's this guy named Faker on the team. Oh, and.
[00:12:40] Speaker B: Yeah, and this other guy got up from his chair.
[00:12:42] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, he got up from his chair. He was like, you know what?
[00:12:45] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:12:45] Speaker C: I'm tired of the TV ad.
[00:12:48] Speaker A: Right.
[00:12:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:49] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: Yeah. Are they actually looking good there? He won.
[00:12:53] Speaker C: I think they make msi. I think they make it ever. Genji at this point.
[00:12:57] Speaker B: Jesus Christ, Jason.
[00:12:59] Speaker A: I think Hle wins in the.
[00:13:01] Speaker C: I think. I think Hle wins in the upper.
Excuse me. I think this team's just really. I think that team's just really good. They're. They're kind of too big to fill at this point.
[00:13:12] Speaker B: They've T1 or HLE.
[00:13:14] Speaker C: I think HLE look really good.
[00:13:17] Speaker A: I mean, well, all members of the. What was the name of the.
The T1 nickname.
[00:13:28] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah, they're all gonna be there.
[00:13:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:32] Speaker A: Qualification match.
[00:13:32] Speaker C: True. I mean, it's really close, but I would rather see T there because Jenji or Chokers after the first stand performance, and I can.
[00:13:43] Speaker B: Oh, he's just this guy that, you know, it's pretty good.
[00:13:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:48] Speaker B: In jungle.
[00:13:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:13:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:13:49] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:13:49] Speaker A: Interesting.
[00:13:50] Speaker B: He. He kind of betrayed us.
[00:13:51] Speaker C: But Kanabi. Yeah.
[00:13:53] Speaker A: This is an lpl, Right.
[00:13:54] Speaker C: The fact that Kanabi came back to LCK and immediately got into Hanwa is. Is a wild.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: And then you have scout.
[00:14:01] Speaker C: Who's it Scout is a professional League of Legends player in Korea right now.
[00:14:08] Speaker B: He does play League of Legends.
[00:14:09] Speaker A: He's getting a salary.
[00:14:11] Speaker C: He. He loads up on the rift a couple of times a week, and he gets paid a lot of money to do it. So.
[00:14:17] Speaker A: I'm joking. As if I have any idea what's
[00:14:19] Speaker C: going on in LCK. This split with a 513 series score and a 1328 game score, which is second to, you know, the DN Poopers, which I don't want to reiterate there. I wish to not reiterate their score line, so I refuse to do so right now in this moment.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. Well, we don't have to talk about it anymore because we're just gonna keep our eyes on who makes it in. It's HLE or T1 and then the loser of that still has one more shot. But really four teams in the running HLET 1 gen G KT. We know either HLE or T1 will be there. Yeah, but then the other guarantee spot is up for grabs between three teams.
[00:14:59] Speaker C: I mean we know, we know the field starting to form itself too at this point as well because we had deep cross gaming qualified from the LCP wild.
[00:15:09] Speaker B: Yeah, that's crazy.
[00:15:10] Speaker C: Wild name Furia.
[00:15:13] Speaker A: The team Secret Whales also qualify.
[00:15:14] Speaker C: Secret whales 1 split 2 DCG made it as the points rep and Furia 1 CB. Lol. So they're gonna be going.
[00:15:25] Speaker A: Yep, I already had that one confirmed. It's gonna be crazy dude that like the facts that either Gen G HLE, T1 or KT will be in the play ins for MSI.
[00:15:35] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:15:36] Speaker A: God, I feel bad. One spot, one team gets out of there.
[00:15:39] Speaker B: I have another update for Brazil.
[00:15:41] Speaker A: Oh yeah? What's the update?
[00:15:42] Speaker B: Bounty1 NaCl.
The Brazilian player.
[00:15:46] Speaker A: Oh yeah.
Hell yeah.
[00:15:48] Speaker B: Congratulations.
[00:15:49] Speaker A: Nice.
When will do. Will we see them in LCS do you think?
[00:15:53] Speaker B: No.
[00:15:53] Speaker A: Okay, cool.
Love that for us.
[00:15:58] Speaker B: Won three NaCl finals in a row. 30 though.
[00:16:02] Speaker A: Yeah, but we got import LCA challenger.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: True.
[00:16:04] Speaker A: Sorry Tomo. Yeah yeah, we don't have space for you.
[00:16:07] Speaker B: Yeah, sorry.
[00:16:08] Speaker A: Eight jungle spots available and we need five Koreans.
[00:16:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So you do. Yes, apparently.
[00:16:14] Speaker A: Alright, well that's it for the LPL update and LCK update. If we missed anything other news, things that you wish we had talked about, let us know in the community discord reminder. You can join that in the link through the description wherever you are listening. And also shout out to anybody who supports the rundown through either our Patreon or our merch shop. You help us keep the lights on and keep these episodes coming out every week.
[00:16:34] Speaker B: Lock it in.
[00:16:35] Speaker A: And with that said lock as a mid laner coming out in league. Lock it in mid lane. Boom. That guy looks kind of cool. By the way, the reveal trailer for like his kit just came out today.
I I the first thing I saw. We usually don't talk about like the actual game mechanics so we will keep this, I'll keep this brief but his Q it's like three casts in a row and every time you land one it increases the percentage of the slow. And then like if you get three you auto for a big damage. Kind of like Braum passive just without a stun. But it made me think I was like ooh. Level one invades are back.
[00:17:08] Speaker B: True.
[00:17:09] Speaker A: Like imagine having Braum support with that guy mid. And you like winter's bite, then triple slow somebody and then stun them and you get both procs of the big damage. Like, oh, God, that's.
[00:17:19] Speaker B: I super hyper. I like him a lot already. Just because the developer came out and said that they styled him off of Dante from Devil May Cry.
[00:17:27] Speaker A: He does look very like.
[00:17:28] Speaker B: They said that they took him into account when they were thinking about his abilities and all that stuff. I'm like, all right. Sold one of my new favorite champions. Easy.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: I will say I groaned a little bit when I heard his E. The dash has a reset when you get a kill.
[00:17:42] Speaker C: I was like, oh, oh, yeah.
[00:17:43] Speaker A: Oh, that's going to be annoying. But everything else I liked. I liked everything else. The kid.
[00:17:49] Speaker C: Okay, cool.
[00:17:49] Speaker A: That's it for. For the new champ Lock. Let's talk about lcs. Actually, you know what? No, no, no. Sorry. I'm gonna take that back. Let's start LEC because there's only a review for the playoffs. Lcs. We actually get to preview next week. So it makes a little more sense to start LCS kicking things off in Europe. Badger. We saw two matches happen this past weekend. It was their finals weekend in the Berlin studio.
And you said it could have been an email. Why do you think so? Well, what happened this past weekend?
[00:18:19] Speaker C: Yeah, so there's this little team called G2.
And they.
They. They kind of. They kind of won the split again, which is. What did I see? It's their 19th LEC title or something like that.
[00:18:36] Speaker A: I don't even remember. I know it was 17 for CAPS.
[00:18:40] Speaker C: CAPS has 17. G2 has 19 as a whole, which. Okay, can I say how stupid it is that we've reached the point that when it was like, oh, he's got six. When like they had six domestic titles at one point, it's like, oh, man. You know, they might get the double double digits. And like. Yep, we've reached the point where it's like, okay, you know, it sounds like funny numbers at this point.
[00:19:08] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It basically like, imagine for an N A fan who doesn't watch a lot of eu, imagine if like doublelift on Team Liquid never left and just stayed good and Team Liquid kept winning over and over and over and over and over and over and over pretty much. Or maybe even a better example would be Bjergsen on tsm, because that's a mid lane.
[00:19:25] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: So like, that was a little older. So like the wind stream.
[00:19:29] Speaker C: Tsm. And then after. After TSM kind of fell off going over to TL and winning a ton of titles on tl. That's what pretty much the equivalence of CAPS run at this point has been.
[00:19:41] Speaker A: But it's disgusting. And again, it's the laziest script writing. Like, so consistently we have seen teams in EU fail to step up to G2. And I at this point, got a question. How many babies they've sacrificed to the EU gods? Because it has to be in like the hundreds at this point. Like, there's no way across multiple roster iterations that they're still the best team in Europe.
[00:20:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:20:07] Speaker A: Insane.
[00:20:08] Speaker C: Yeah, it's. It's wild.
So Casey opened the weekend playing Koi and that was a 3.
[00:20:16] Speaker A: 0.
[00:20:17] Speaker C: None of the games were particularly close.
The. The. It could have been an email series, unfortunately.
But hey, you know What? We get G2 versus KC. We get a rematch.
The G2 is had Casey's number in the past. Like, they beat him in the first round. Oh, they're meeting up in the finals. What a great story this will be.
When you look at it well and you see. Okay, I'll, I'll give the caveat in the beginning of it, when you look at it and you see that it was a 3 2. Oh, you think maybe, hey, those are exciting games. Maybe it was. Maybe, you know, you got your back and forth Bard burners, like all that stuff.
And then you watch the games and none of them are close. It's just trading wins back and forth
[00:21:06] Speaker A: the entire time, trading smashes. Is it usually a finals? You want it to be this like, tug and pull, but you want a dramatic tug. And yeah, yeah. Isn't as satisfying when it's like, oh, one team smashes now the other team gets to smash baton and then the other team. But that being said, we did get to silver scrapes and we got especially some fun drafts in game five.
We're kind of starting with the finals just because it's the finals. Then I do have some points about Casey McCoy, so we can circle back to that. But really the most exciting game here, just for the sake of what we saw and how crazy it was, was game five G2 pull out Kled top NASA's jungle skewmonteg and inspiration from Griffin. And I've seen all these EU casters and co streamers and people tweeting about like, oh, my God, NASA's jungle, like, it hasn't happened so many years. And I'm like, they don't know. They're just not giving any respect to our boy Griffin. That's crazy.
I I saying that Vettius did on Cast Give Respect, but still.
And then Anivia mid with Senna Bot Lane with Alistair. So, like insane scaling. They didn't even need to scale. They won in 26 minutes. It was a giga stomp. But Skewmon, dude.
Oh, my God. Badger Skewmont. This guy had a hell of a series.
[00:22:22] Speaker B: He.
[00:22:22] Speaker C: He started off he was all right.
Like, he was all right the first three games, and then games two and. Or games four and five, he decides, you know what? I'm dropping a nuke it.
[00:22:35] Speaker A: We ball like deathless in the wins. And the last two games, he was 1209 on Pantheon with some of the most disgusting early game, like, kind of luck, I guess. But then, like he snowballs it into an insane performance. 1209 into 1203 on the NASUs.
[00:22:55] Speaker B: Not gonna lie, though. Why are we letting Pantheon through in a game four?
[00:22:59] Speaker A: That is.
[00:23:00] Speaker B: Why is that happening?
[00:23:03] Speaker A: It's wild.
[00:23:04] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:23:05] Speaker A: I think the bigger question is why are we playing 80 Nidalee top.
[00:23:12] Speaker C: Like the game, the game to end at all. And you're just like, he.
You know what? I'm gonna take Niddly top it.
Yeah.
[00:23:20] Speaker B: Going unkilled in all the winds is crazy, though. Yeah, that's.
That's nasty.
[00:23:26] Speaker A: Very impressive stuff from G2 and SKU, mine in particular. And it just shows that G2, I mean, even backs against the wall, they were down in this series. They had to reverse sweep McCoy last weekend. They just. You can't keep them down. This team's mental is just unbeatable and you can never get comfortable in a series against them. I think that's like the biggest takeaway is just how good G2 are when they're down in a series. Like, it feels like it doesn't phase them at all. If anything, it, like, makes them angry and powers them up.
[00:23:55] Speaker B: I need to. Need to ask Roma where he keeps his trophies because.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: Is it just gonna be like an Amazon warehouse at this point?
[00:24:05] Speaker A: Maybe it's like a. Like a storage pod somewhere. It's probably expensive in Europe just sitting
[00:24:10] Speaker B: on the side of a road.
Yeah. They're just kind of tossing so many now.
[00:24:14] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:24:15] Speaker A: Like, ah, it's so paperweight.
But yeah, I mean, it. It's just insane. The consistency of G2KC. I think we can talk about their dismantling of. Of MCOI pushing close against G2, but the problem is they're going to be in that play in stage at MSI. They still go to MSI, but we already highlighted it's going to be like Hlet 1 or Gen G. Most likely one of those three teams that they're up against.
[00:24:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:24:43] Speaker A: International. Let's go. Technically boost you at international but like we might not get many games of them at international because I just don't think that they're going to be able to step up to any of the LCK second seeds. Whichever one ends up going because it's going to be, I believe LCK second seed.
It's LCS second seed, LEC second seed and then LCP second seed. I believe that is the MSI play Ins Badger. Could you look that up for me real quick? Just to confirm. Look at the MSI plan format because I'm just blanking on which four teams. I think Brazil gets to go automatically.
[00:25:18] Speaker C: Brazil's automatically in. It's. It's LCP, EMEA2 and NA2.
[00:25:25] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:25:25] Speaker C: With Korea too.
[00:25:27] Speaker A: So good luck because whoever wins first stand gets their second seed already into the main stage.
[00:25:32] Speaker C: Which I, you know, get that. Mazel. When you were mentioning Bilibili going for the Golden Road and the pre show and all that stuff, that's. That's when it finally clicked on me. Oh yeah, they won first stand. I forgot about that.
[00:25:46] Speaker B: Hell yeah. They did three years.
[00:25:51] Speaker C: Gen G and Billy. Billy3 1JDG, I believe. I think that sounds right. I don't know. I mean it's hard to tell for me at this point because that tournament, I no offense to that tournament but it's kind of irrelevant.
[00:26:09] Speaker A: Kind of. It does kind of exist for the sake of existing like it exists and then winning it. The reward is msi.
[00:26:17] Speaker B: Thanks.
[00:26:18] Speaker A: Which also is kind of a precursor.
[00:26:19] Speaker B: Our first international in three years. You know, no big deal. Thank you.
[00:26:22] Speaker A: No one cares about it.
[00:26:25] Speaker C: I got you.
[00:26:25] Speaker B: We already knew that.
[00:26:26] Speaker C: That was from Riot.
[00:26:27] Speaker A: So that one's been hammered in.
I want to talk about MCO a little bit here because that was the other LEC team. We saw them on a legendary loss streak here. They lost six games in a row. They were up 20 to G2 in the upper bracket finals. One more game win and they get into MSI win or lose in the finals and they just throw. They lose three games in a row to G2 and then three games in a row to KC and I at this point I don't even know what the to think about this team. Like they're so good against the teams.
[00:27:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:27:04] Speaker A: In like two of three games and then they'll have one fun game where they throw. So a lot of their series in the Regular season are still 21 wins.
[00:27:10] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:27:11] Speaker A: But then when they step up in the pressure moments, they just can't really deliver. And it's like, I. I can tell JoJo is trying his hardest to hard carry these games.
[00:27:23] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:27:23] Speaker A: But I think it's to his own detriment. And then they, like, trying to pull off these fun things like the. The Annie top lane in game three, which theoretically, in a vacuum makes sense. But then your bot lane just legendarily falls apart, and then, like, the rest of the map falls apart afterwards.
And I think Kalist was just, like, styling on super the entire time. And, like, it didn't matter how much JoJo was trying to carry. He was feeding in his attempts, and Kalist was getting all the gold.
Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. How do you fix mcoil other than, like, probably full roster rebuild at this point?
[00:28:01] Speaker B: I don't split three.
[00:28:02] Speaker A: I mean, I don't know if by. If for split three, but definitely for next year. This roster is not gonna get you international performances. I think this roster can get you two worlds. It is definitively the third best roster in eu, but it has now proven time and time again it is not punching up.
And I think that if you're a team, if you're like Ebai, an owner like Ebai, if you're players like Jojo, Pun, you want to achieve more, and if your support is Alvaro, and I hate to say it, he's my goat, but if your top lane's Merwin, I don't think it's gonna work.
I talked about this last week with Jamad. I feel like Merwin against Khana Khan is just his kryptonite. Like, Merwin just plays stupid in the Kana. And you saw that in these games as well.
Yeah, yeah.
It's fun rivalry. Unfortunate that it didn't really pay off unless you're French. So I suppose, Mizell, maybe you're French and American. What's. What's a French phrase to, like, say, like, celebrate like we did.
[00:29:06] Speaker B: Cool.
[00:29:07] Speaker A: Like, get me a baguette right now.
[00:29:09] Speaker B: Go. Oh, cool. Go.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: That's close.
Go get me a baguette right now.
[00:29:15] Speaker B: It's a baguette.
[00:29:16] Speaker C: All right, baguette.
[00:29:17] Speaker B: Let's get it real.
[00:29:18] Speaker C: Ah.
[00:29:18] Speaker A: Not a baguette.
[00:29:19] Speaker B: How do you say croissant?
[00:29:22] Speaker A: Croissant.
[00:29:24] Speaker B: Croissant.
Croissant.
[00:29:26] Speaker A: You just have to say it like you're disgusted.
[00:29:31] Speaker B: That's a lot of French.
[00:29:32] Speaker A: Yeah, true.
The romance language, by the way.
All right, G2 and Casey at MSI. I want to get all of our thoughts. Miselle, what do you think about G2? Because G2 is the big one. They're the one that just made finals at first stand. Do you think that they're going to be like a major threat to go for the title? Because in their victory speech, Caps was saying that he was like, I still want to win another title. Like, that's why he's doing this. He loves competition. He wants to win an international.
[00:29:54] Speaker B: I think they'll at least be quarters. I think they have the potential for like semis and potentially finals. But. But I do see the positives of this team, especially when they can find good drafts and execute those drafts. As long as they don't make it too hard for themselves to execute, especially internationally, I do think this team can make a push. And they're the. The sky's the limit that could make it to finals. I don't know if I could see this team closing out of finals versus say a T1 or BLG.
[00:30:19] Speaker C: Nah.
[00:30:20] Speaker B: But I could see them making a run for it for sure.
[00:30:22] Speaker A: Fair Badger, same question for you. What do you think about G2 at MSI?
[00:30:28] Speaker C: I think I'm. I think that they could make finals. Honestly.
Yeah. It just depends on how the draw goes. I mean, there are some teams that we kind of have questions about at this point going in, so.
[00:30:41] Speaker A: Depends on how the draw goes and also how quickly they get onto the meta. Is LPL or LCK playing on current patch?
[00:30:49] Speaker C: No, no, no.
[00:30:50] Speaker A: Not for LPL. Is LCK. No, no. It's still just LCS.
[00:30:54] Speaker B: I thought that we're still on the 26 regions.
[00:30:57] Speaker A: We're going on to it. But that's the big takeaway that I had is that there is a pretty significant patch with all the tank support items getting buffed to Knights Val for jungle.
[00:31:07] Speaker B: That's what LPL loves everything.
[00:31:10] Speaker A: Sure. But I. I just like for G2, they just played all their playoffs on the previous patch, it was still enchanter Meta. They're gonna have to spend a lot of time and I. I don't think that they're gonna struggle too to do that. I think they're gonna be fine. They have enough time. But that would be the one thing that other.
I guess I can't even say other regions. I would just say LCS as a leg up then because we're the only ones that are playing then on. On that patch in our playoffs currently.
But realistically, I don't see either.
[00:31:36] Speaker B: Come on, guys.
If we're if we're gonna all go to the same tournament, can we not all just be playing the same game?
[00:31:43] Speaker A: I think every, every region should adopt that. I think it's so crazy, such a good thing for the game to be like, oh, are you watching pro?
What they're playing is what is currently in the game right now as opposed to like this delay.
But obviously that's a NA mentality. Like LCS were doing that, but I think. I thought other regions have started doing it.
[00:32:02] Speaker C: I think the other thing that might hurt G2 in this tournament is there's. There is a lower losers bracket in this one. So there's. It's not just, you know, make it through one group stage and then you're playing a best of five to make it into finals. That's a little bit more in. In.
It takes a little bit more effort to get to finals at this point too. But I. I mean, top four would be really good for this team. I think that would be really good momentum builder for them going into like summer in worlds. But at the same time it.
It's an uphill battle for him. So we'll see.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: I'd say.
I do hope, actually, I believe that format wise, NA's, Tier 2 or Seed 2 will play against Casey at some point in the plans. I think it's just like a round robin into the top two teams. I don't remember exactly how it shook out for the format, but that's gonna be exciting because I. For predictions wise, we'll talk about this as we transition to lcs.
I think it's going to be team Liquid. I actually think TL is going to be our second seed going in and we'll start talking about that now because that's wrapping up LEC final. Time to talk about LCS in North America. We wrapped up our round two. Yeah, Round two of playoffs, technically. And now we're going into our finals weekend in Arizona at the ASU Mullet Arena. If you're gonna be there, come say hi. I will be there on site and I'm gonna be doing like crowd interaction stuff and like the player interviews and. And things like that.
So it's gonna be a good time. But we have the teams that are making it. Mazel. What happened this past weekend though and how did the series shake up to give us our finals weekend teams?
[00:33:49] Speaker B: Well, speaking of shaking, there's crumbling going on Cloud nine.
They looked real bad against lion and it immediately sent on Lauren Bells. I feel like everybody wondering, is this team gonna once again drop the Ball when it seems like they're the best team in the region.
Very, very tough stuff against Lion. I think it was like a holistic breakdown. I think there were still some really clean moments from. From the likes of Vulcan and stuff like that, but a 30 is a 3 0. And it was a lot of like the clutch late game decisions that lion was making that ended up winning them the series. It was pretty nasty.
[00:34:31] Speaker A: Yep. And also in the lower bracket. The lower bracket, a team that got eliminated.
[00:34:36] Speaker B: Poor fly quest.
[00:34:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:38] Speaker B: 3:1 TL.
The momentum is in TL's favor.
[00:34:42] Speaker A: There was so much excitement around FlyQuest going into this one. Me and Jamada were talking about it a lot last week. Pretty much every other podcast I was hearing, whether it was the dive, whether it was, you know, Jet and Betty's podcast or like Quick Shot and Kitty's podcast, everyone's talking about the excitement around Fly Quest.
[00:34:56] Speaker B: They're ramping up.
[00:34:57] Speaker A: Yeah, they're. They're hitting their stride. They just push C9 to five games. They just three owed Sentinels like, oh, really good, good performances for a young roster. And then they were not able to fully maintain that momentum against the Team Liquid. That looked shaky, but you know who didn't look shaky is Quid. Oh, my God.
[00:35:13] Speaker C: This guy is on. This guy's pretty good right now.
[00:35:16] Speaker B: He's trying to one up the whole, like he got one version of every kill in the game or whatever where you got like the quadra, the penta, the triple.
[00:35:25] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:35:28] Speaker A: Yeah, Quad. Put on a clinic here. Badger and.
[00:35:32] Speaker B: Or Quid. Sorry.
[00:35:33] Speaker A: Yeah, Quit quitting.
[00:35:35] Speaker B: They do say it too.
[00:35:35] Speaker A: So. So I. I said it. I messed it up one time on cast and then Kobe messed it up like three times on cast. It kept happening.
[00:35:43] Speaker C: I was like, oh, no, that's what happens. That's what happens when you have two Korean mid laners that the difference in their. Their names are one vowel. So could you imagine if you had one that was like quod and.
And2u?
[00:36:00] Speaker B: What about hung and Hungry?
One spelled with an E and one
[00:36:03] Speaker A: spelled with an A. I don't like that. I'm not gonna think about that.
I want to talk about what happened in the series. The one when the flight was. God, it was surprise, surprise. Kind of a wacky jungle pick from Griffin. And I think, unfortunately that's what we're learning about Fly Quest is that they win through unconventionality, not through traditional place. If you look at Team Liquid in the drafts on their wins, it was like classic front to back team fighting. Like Game one was as classic as you can possibly get. Get Tank Top Lane, engage Jungler mage mid lane like safe hyper carry bot lane with an engage support like that is cookie cutter composition. In fact, I think this composition was meta in like 2016. Like I'm pretty sure Scion J4, Oreada, Zaya Rakan were like all 2016 champs that probably played multiple games in that format. And then game three wins very similar as well. Tank Top Lane, engage Jungler more Assassin mid. This time with a more carry oriented bot lane. But still, I mean like you see the possibility for front to backs. And then the last game. What do you know? Tank Top Lane, carry jungle control mage mid strong bot lane.
[00:37:10] Speaker B: I. I gotta ask a serious question and I don't want to bring it up because I'm also a bit sad about it.
Was Busio just what made Masu good bro?
I don't know. He's had some really bad series and has not been consistent this year at all. Like in a team that is coming together with a bunch of new names. When we started this year, our entire narrative when we were talking about see with Masu's the veteran. He's gonna bring up the. He's gonna be the. The holdover from last year that makes the carry happen.
And there's been a couple big carry moments for him this year.
But that's not enough when you're. You were the guy last year for FlyQuest.
[00:37:54] Speaker A: Yeah. Especially like moments that just seem silly.
[00:37:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:37:57] Speaker A: Like I'm thinking back to game four. He's on Kogma. It's a lulu. Koga bottling for Flyquest. You're into quid on Victor who like basically 1v9 this game. He's like the reason that Team Liquid won this game. There's a moment that Masu in a team fight has like flash up and like quid throws out the laser, hits him, hits him with the arcane storm. Masu like flashes away, walks away and then walks or no, I don't think he flashed. I think he like walked back into the arcane storm and then had to flash out of it because he was gonna die to it. I'm like how like your object permanence is that bad right now that like you just. You literally walk out of a Victor old, turn around, walk back in and have to waste some.
[00:38:40] Speaker B: It's all. It all started whenever he got caught on Senna in that bush and
[00:38:46] Speaker A: I guess so. And actually now that I think I'm remembering it correctly, I'm pretty sure Cryogen had to flash to like shield him. That's what happened. But it was Masu that walks back into the old regardless. It's like silly plays like that.
[00:38:58] Speaker B: Like, what's going on, man? Our wi fi wizard, bro. Where is he? Where's the tower? And he's come down.
[00:39:05] Speaker A: And even in game two, which they won again, it was unconventional jungle. It was Griffin on the show Shyvana and it was Geckos monster carry performance here.
Really, really solid stuff. But Masu Crouchin did body that bot Lane as well. So it was. It was a full team effort to get game two win. Gave me hope that we were gonna get a full five games. But then Team Liquid again just came back. They play safe, they play smart. We had a game three, Griffin rumble in the jungle with Vayne top lane. They had Rumble flex and then they actually did flex it mid or into the jungle roll so that they could do Vayne into Cassante. But like Team Liquid just do Team Liquid stuff. They just, you know, rotate core up there with Yawn. And then Gakos has cryogen on him, so he's sharing XP with.
With his support. He's not getting an XP lead over Morgan. Once Morgan has like half an item completed, then they rotate him back and then he's able to survive the vein. And then they just keep ganking the vein. Actually it's Morgan that got ganked a bunch this time. But like Fly Quest just, I think three different times dove the Kazante under turret and it just did nothing because Quid Yawn were just able to take turrets the entire time. Team Liquid out macroed Fly Quest. They outdrafted FlyQuest and they out performed FlyQuest.
[00:40:18] Speaker B: Tough, tough, tough.
[00:40:20] Speaker A: Speaking of outperforming, you already alluded to it. Lion over C9 was a three zero badger. I haven't gotten your thoughts.
[00:40:26] Speaker C: C9 in playoff slow.
Oh my God. Like genuinely. Do they need like, do they need to just like walk into the studio and be like, all right guys, week seven. Week seven, lcs. Let's fucking do it. Let's go knock this. Let's go do this. You know, don't worry. They. They switched to format the best of five for some reason. I don't know why we're playing best of fives in week seven now. Guys. Don't worry about it.
Nothing out of the ordinary here. Don't worry. Just what the are we do. What the fuck are we doing?
[00:40:57] Speaker A: Like, I don't know, dude.
[00:40:58] Speaker B: They're just big dots putting it on the table.
[00:41:04] Speaker A: Game one. I've never seen A renekton scale so well into a late game like that did not feel like that should have been a late game win for Lion. But that was a long game one and it was pretty close. Nail biter. A couple really fun chaotic fights. Great way to start the series.
But Dokla just outperformed in the late game team fights. And APA's Ven just getting caught at bad times blabber as well, you know, right before the Baron and then yeah, lion are just able to like okay, we get the objective now we're just gonna keep going for fights. And that just killed them at the end the game.
[00:41:41] Speaker B: Castle's never getting that spot back.
[00:41:43] Speaker C: I yeah, dude, the trade. That wasn't a trade.
[00:41:47] Speaker B: That ain't happening.
[00:41:49] Speaker A: Dogo just needed somebody behind him. That's all I needed. Somebody to motivate him a little bit. Game two was inspired classic big carry on the Nefiri nine one and three. And this was APA with a pretty stinker Annie game.
Specifically the one dragon fight where like inspired jumps over the pit and then APA turns to tibbers him but is not in range. He doesn't get the stun off. So inspired doesn't even have to use the W Hounds pursuit to like dodge the or is is a hounds pursuit. Yeah yeah. Hounds pursuit for. For the the dodge mechanic. He's able to use it.
[00:42:27] Speaker B: That's the call the peg the house.
[00:42:28] Speaker A: Okay, there we go. I felt like that sounded wrong. Okay, so call the pack to dodge it because AP just again misses the the old. So it's like moments like that from APA really really tough.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: And then Vulcan had a banger game three. I gotta give him that one.
[00:42:42] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:42:42] Speaker B: He had some insane engages I feel like. Or no, no, no. Game one. Game one. Sorry. Game one on the Alistar I believe man.
[00:42:50] Speaker C: Free volcano.
[00:42:51] Speaker B: Free crazy free volcano.
[00:42:53] Speaker A: Unless you're confusing with core JJ's Rakan game from the team Liquid series where he had some insane engages.
Yeah, I think that overall it is in game three as well. We got the the fun kind of docus Wani top lane with inspired piloting Jace and one of the best sound bites. God damn. I loved Lions sound.
When after the game inspired it was like see my J's. Like I miss some shock blasts but it was okay. And then Saint goes your. Your J sucks.
[00:43:21] Speaker C: Sucks the best.
[00:43:24] Speaker A: I love those two. But this the game three was berserker dude. Holy 14 05. Some of those misfortune ultimates were just
[00:43:33] Speaker B: that trip or that like triple into a Quadra he had in the top side. Oh my God.
[00:43:38] Speaker A: He almost got the pent up but then it timed out.
[00:43:41] Speaker B: He wasn't able to get the bronze.
[00:43:42] Speaker C: Zodiac comps there were real like it. But it worked. Like you can't even be upset about it.
[00:43:48] Speaker B: It's hilarious that APA got executed on that play.
[00:43:51] Speaker A: Yeah, right. It did feel like he should have. I thought that somebody else had hit him. I think it was.
[00:43:55] Speaker B: No, somebody else was walking right next. Like I literally walked past him and let him die. To the turret.
[00:44:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Cuz they were trying to give the
[00:44:01] Speaker C: fence and they didn't want to. Yeah, yeah.
[00:44:02] Speaker A: It's pretty funny.
But yeah. So lion are going to msi. They're locked in. And they're also locked in for grand finals. They're going to be waiting the winner of C9 versus TL.
[00:44:12] Speaker B: So film another inspired finals.
[00:44:14] Speaker A: Before we preview the finals, let's talk about Lion. What do we think about them at msi? We're gonna go with the same order. Mazal, I'm gonna start with you.
[00:44:22] Speaker B: What.
[00:44:22] Speaker A: What's your faith meter at for? For lion going into international competition, we've
[00:44:27] Speaker B: seen them break down sometimes and I feel like maybe they're not as punished into these NA teams as they will be Internationals. I could see like some of the breakdown of communication potentially coming through if they start losing games. But I do. I have like a 6 out of 10.
I just.
I always have hesitancy on how far a team that is dragged by their pants by inspired in terms of macro. Like how. How far they can make it. Yeah, because it's. It's always good to have somebody that reads like that. But you also need people to think individually. And I'm not saying they don't. Right. And I think we have seen some of those moments from them that really feels good that inspired is like leading, but everybody's able to figure out their own path through the game.
But if they start losing games, which is probably gonna happen at international, I could see that kind of being a little bit of a worse situation for them. But I have like a 6 out of 10. I'm here for it. If they start popping off, that's awesome. I just am a little hesitant on their structure of play and how they play the game.
[00:45:26] Speaker A: Badger, same question for you. Just general faith meter and lion right
[00:45:29] Speaker C: now going into MSI top six.
[00:45:33] Speaker A: Oh, I think you said G2 was top eight.
[00:45:38] Speaker C: So that means you think.
I think G2. Lion, I kind of have the same expectations for at this point. I think Both of them. Top six would be. What a dream. I. I kind of forgot about this until now. One of the most underrated things in all of this is all three of these teams are going to Korea. Two of them will be participating in the tournament, but whoever loses the first series between TL and C9 gets a funded boot camp in Korea from Riot.
[00:46:08] Speaker B: Yeah, nice.
[00:46:09] Speaker C: I forgot about that part.
[00:46:10] Speaker A: Like, why alongside the America's cup, that was kind of like what we were fighting for. America's cup was more teams represented in that boot camp. And again, Brazil beat us, so they get a couple teams going. I don't remember exactly what the breakdown was, but, yeah, I forgot about that too. Thanks for the reminder. Yeah, interesting. Well, we'll see if that helps either the teams in lower bracket, because they're both gonna need it. I think Lions, the team I have the most faith in, I have two reasons why I think that they can do better at MSI than they did at first stand.
Reason number one, it seems like they're having more fun in Split one, or rather lock in tournament.
I. I never want to buy too much into it or read too much into it, but it seemed like Inspired Saint were slightly more antagonistic, I guess, in terms of their interactions. There's one specific sound bite that I'm remembering where Inspired was, like, trying to calm down Saint going into a series. He was like, just relax, like, it's gonna be okay. You know, we're gonna have a good time. And then it comes, puts the camera over to Saint and he's just silent. And I think he just goes like, okay. Or something like that, right? Like, it's not the same shitty banter that they're doing now, which I love. Like, I love that they're both just saying, shut up, shut up. You know, like, yeah, Saint is down. Be like, ah, your J sucks. You know, Like, I think it's. That's the type of player that Inspired is going to work the best with, is somebody that can meet his energy and answer him where he's at. And Inspired is a very blunt but also very sarcastic person.
So I think that if Saint buys into that, then their synergy is going to be a lot better. And I've seen a lot more of that in Split two. Reason number two, I think they're going to do better is that Dokla has been looking better, and he's also got somebody behind him that either can step in. If Dokla struggles again, which sometimes at international he does fail to step up, they could, in a pinch, put Castle in and maybe that's better at international competition. But also the fact that there's the threat of that means I think Dokla is not going to perform as bad as he did last time time. So I think lion got an upgrade between lock in tournament into first stand and then now.
So I, I think that they're going to be at least they're going to look better. I don't know if I think that they're going to make semi finals or how far they're going to go at msi, but I think that they're going to look better than they did at first hand. I don't have a lot of faith in the other two teams at this point. Let's talk about it next week. Predictions here. We got C9 versus team today.
[00:48:27] Speaker C: No, it's okay.
[00:48:28] Speaker A: Oh actually yeah, Miselle, I. I haven't gotten yours because you're in here in person with me. So let's just cover them live. I have team Liquid. I actually this might be. Actually it's not.
[00:48:37] Speaker C: No, it's not.
It's C9 choking is is the reason I have team Liquid as well.
[00:48:41] Speaker A: Yeah. So me and Badger agree. TL32 Bickle put his predictions in. He put 3 2. Mizel.
[00:48:46] Speaker B: What do you think C9 Cloud 932 the redemption.
[00:48:50] Speaker A: See I just, I just apa just
[00:48:52] Speaker B: turn turns it on against quid and it's easy GG but that's the one I'm most concerned about.
[00:48:57] Speaker A: His apa looks shaky.
[00:48:59] Speaker B: He'll bounce back.
[00:49:01] Speaker A: I hope he does. I would love to see Ian at internationals. Big apa fan.
Get some n a midlander representation at the international stage. But C9 are just legendary chokers. They haven't made an international in three years.
And I think that you can say it's time but I'm gonna go with the consistency. And I I falsely predicted McCoy to beat KC and break that curse. I'm not gonna to predict against curses anymore.
Then finals is lion versus the winner.
[00:49:28] Speaker B: Lion three zero.
[00:49:29] Speaker A: Okay, lion three zero. I have line three zero. Badgers line three one alongside Bickle. So Badger, how do you think because you have TL taking it. How do you think TL gets one win share?
[00:49:39] Speaker C: Dumb luck.
[00:49:40] Speaker A: You know, not like standard draft because I think if they would it's gonna be like the most cookie cutter. Oh, they have orn top. I get basically like their game.
[00:49:49] Speaker C: I mean yeah, you could say something like that. But at the same time like this team can stand up to him pretty easily. It doesn't feel like, it's that, you know, not that all it takes is Yawn having one game of his life, like, and he's capable of doing it. Like, I still think John's a very, a very good player. So it's not like, okay, wow.
[00:50:14] Speaker A: Betting on Yawn over Berserker was not where I thought it was gonna go.
[00:50:17] Speaker C: Berserker can shit the bed every once in a while. I've watched this guy play for years at this point.
[00:50:22] Speaker A: Come on.
[00:50:23] Speaker C: True, true.
[00:50:25] Speaker A: Last time C9 made an international competition, by the way, I believe Berserker was on the team. So it's been that long.
That's crazy to think about. They needed him. They needed him bad.
Okay, that's gonna do it. For our predictions, we all have lion taking the LCS spring split title. That would be back to back championships. Lock in technically isn't a title. I know it can be a little confusing because every region kind of has their own system. Lec. It is like a three split format, but in, in na, it's the lock in tournament to start off the year. I and most people call it split one, but technically it was just the lock in tournament. So you had the lock in.
[00:51:03] Speaker B: Then why did you guys say that it counted in Inspired's trophy cabinet?
[00:51:07] Speaker A: Because it's a championship. It's not a title. It's not a split title. It's a championship. I know, it's stupid. It's semantics. It's bs.
[00:51:14] Speaker B: Are we a card game or.
[00:51:18] Speaker A: But it would be back to back championships for Lion.
[00:51:22] Speaker B: But also he just owns NA at this point.
[00:51:24] Speaker A: He does, does inspire.
[00:51:25] Speaker B: It does ridiculous how many finals he's been in.
[00:51:28] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:51:29] Speaker A: I, man, I hate that. Like almost every time we have, oh, who's the best player in na? It's usually.
God damn it.
[00:51:37] Speaker C: It's like it used to be.
[00:51:38] Speaker B: It used to be Blabber for two years ago. It was like everybody was always like, oh, Blabber's the best jungler in the west. And then he didn't do good in choke moments over and over again for two years in a row. And now he's, he is out of the conversation unfortunately. Which is very sad because I feel like his dominant era, like the four years was insane. Like he was disgusting as a jungler.
[00:52:02] Speaker A: But we're flipping the script because now Jojo and Busio, really good one of them will catch up to Caps eventually. Just give him 17 years, I guess.
[00:52:13] Speaker B: 17 year old man.
[00:52:15] Speaker A: Just what's 17 divided by. I'm going to wild growth five five and three, five and two thirds years. I had a stroke right there. Five and two thirds years and somebody can win 17 titles for anybody that
[00:52:30] Speaker B: didn't get to see that, like, I did.
[00:52:35] Speaker C: Did he have to take his shoes off to, like, count his toes too, while he was at it?
[00:52:39] Speaker B: Do that.
[00:52:42] Speaker C: How many. How long was he staring at his figures for?
[00:52:46] Speaker B: Honestly, Facial expression unlocked.
[00:52:49] Speaker A: Average look my face is making when I'm casting to leave
[00:52:54] Speaker B: on the verge of toast.
[00:52:58] Speaker A: Whenever Baron fights start happening, it's like
[00:53:00] Speaker C: there's too many things on the screen.
[00:53:01] Speaker A: All right, well, there we go. That does it for your league. Rundown review of LEC finals as well as preview for LCS finals. Again, we're on the road. We're in Arizona at the Mullet.
[00:53:13] Speaker C: On the road again.
[00:53:15] Speaker A: Be there. On the road again.
[00:53:17] Speaker C: I can't wait to get back on
[00:53:18] Speaker A: the road again a couple of days.
[00:53:21] Speaker B: Amazon.
[00:53:22] Speaker A: I don't think Amazon sells grown mullets.
Maybe it's, you know, what are those, like little dolls or like the little, like. Like the heads with like, that grows out of it?
[00:53:32] Speaker B: Barbie. Oh, Chia Chia.
[00:53:34] Speaker A: Maybe like we put like the Chia chemicals on the back.
[00:53:37] Speaker B: Put a bunch of dirt on your head.
[00:53:39] Speaker A: Hadn't thought about that before. Yeah.
[00:53:41] Speaker C: You know what? Cool.
[00:53:41] Speaker A: Well, we'll try it out.
We'll try out a lot of things, but either way, I should hopefully be rocking a mullet. Come say hi if you're there.
And also leave us a review. If you think to Badger, if people wanted to leave a star review, can you ask Mizel how many they should leave?
[00:53:58] Speaker C: Mizel, how many stars should the people leave?
[00:54:03] Speaker B: Well, there's six major regions.
[00:54:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:54:10] Speaker B: But in the lit, you can't do six. The number is not positive. So you do five. Yes.
[00:54:17] Speaker A: Clearly it's not a major region. They're a clown region. So we can cut one.
[00:54:21] Speaker B: Yeah, it's fine. So you just do five. There's also five points to a star, so, you know, it all makes sense.
[00:54:26] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I didn't think about that. Is that why there's five star reviews? Five points? Whoa.
[00:54:33] Speaker B: I don't. I think it might just because it's
[00:54:35] Speaker C: easy, but yeah, go.
[00:54:37] Speaker B: Leave five stars.
[00:54:38] Speaker C: Stars.
[00:54:39] Speaker B: Maybe six.
[00:54:39] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[00:54:41] Speaker A: Blowing my freaking mind.
[00:54:42] Speaker C: Yeah. Crazy, actually.
[00:54:43] Speaker A: Yeah, leave six because then it'll bump our. Our average is not five stars. Like four point something.
[00:54:49] Speaker B: Okay, well then, yeah, we'll get it.
[00:54:51] Speaker A: It'll increase it. We can maybe chase that five. Either way, we appreciate you leaving reviews. It does help us get more notice. And again, thank you to everybody who supports the pod. But most importantly, just for listening. Just know that we love you and we'll see you next time.
[00:55:05] Speaker C: Goodbye, everyone.
[00:55:10] Speaker A: Least chaotic outro.
[00:55:12] Speaker B: Nice,
[00:55:30] Speaker A: Sam.
