[00:00:12] Speaker A: Gets hit. Kimmy kids a little too far here. He's gonna have to try and get himself out. Let me go. Tillery and the rest of the shots of fire. Zion is just killing the next Zion can eat it single handedly win the game by game by game by game by should be. Oh my God. [00:00:28] Speaker B: Stupid. [00:00:29] Speaker A: Passes through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. I do not believe he just believe. I cannot understand this game. Unicorns of love. It wasn't a mutant. The Nexus. Hello and welcome to episode 606 of the League Rundown. This is your 2026 spring split LEC week six review and LCS week five review. And this episode is lovingly entitled Brace for Playoffs. I'm your host, Kangas and I'm joined by two esteemed co hosts. Up first, fresh out of the can, it's Badger. [00:01:27] Speaker B: Wow, what a. What a week it was. Last week we all got LCS predictions correctly. Imagine that. [00:01:35] Speaker A: 100%. [00:01:36] Speaker B: 100% again. [00:01:39] Speaker A: And LEC was also really good. This is too predictable. By far, this is the best I think the cast across the board has done in predictions. And I'm. I'm proud of us. I'm proud of us. All we had to do was kick Duffy off the podcast, kick Sam off the podcast. Who else? You know, we just had. We needed a fresh, fresh suit of faces. One of them. Joining us today is also Mr. Mizelle Pl. [00:02:07] Speaker C: Hello. I'm excited to be here and to talk about League of Legos. It's gonna be a good time. [00:02:13] Speaker A: If they had a Legos set, like a Legos collab with League of Legends. What should the set be? Mazel Summoner's Rift. Make some of just the Rift itself. [00:02:24] Speaker C: Yeah, dude, give that to a kid. They're going to have a great time. Find the little deer. Find the ducks. Dude, I'm telling you, Riot Games, I know you don't listen to this, but if you do, for some reason the children, the age of League of Legends, children from players and people that are involved in the scene, it's coming. You got to get those kids toys ready. Got to start them at a young age. I want to see ganking at level one from the babies [00:02:51] Speaker A: from age one. [00:02:52] Speaker C: That's level. Wait, no. Are we. Isn't it called levels Levels. [00:02:57] Speaker A: You know what? As gamers, we probably should just call it that. I petition that I'm going to talk to a Zale and Jet for their kids. [00:03:02] Speaker B: Okay. [00:03:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Just make sure they're all. [00:03:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:05] Speaker C: Every morning on top of cereal. You Draw out a jungle path. [00:03:09] Speaker B: Yep. [00:03:11] Speaker A: Like, they had the little maps or the puzzle mazes on the back. Yeah. Now it's like, jungle path. That's very funny. The prompt is like, you're starting as Shako. [00:03:21] Speaker B: Where do you go? [00:03:22] Speaker A: Draw out the correct jungle pathing. [00:03:24] Speaker C: One of those mazes you, like, run to the end. There's just a block there. You can't go there right now, [00:03:31] Speaker A: but no, now when. Whenever it's Azale's kids, like, first birthday, I'm gonna get them a card that says, like, happy Level one day. That's good. [00:03:41] Speaker C: Start red to blue. [00:03:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Where were we at? We're doing a podcast, right? [00:03:46] Speaker B: We are doing an episode of a podcast. [00:03:49] Speaker A: We are doing an episode of a podcast. Let's talk about some of the news going around the horn right now. Roster news. There was a big shake up in the LCS right before this weekend, this coming weekend here because rosters had to be locked. You can only make changes so far into the split before they're locked for the rest of the split. And the big change was lion picking up a new top laner. A known top laner picked up Castle. Now, Mizelle, the word is Castle and Dokla will be splitting time and competing for the spot. And then we'll talk more about DSG and who they're picking up to replace Castle going forward. But first, first reaction is Moselle of just Castle going to Lion. This is a pretty big shift this late into the year. [00:04:36] Speaker C: First reaction is why I just. Obviously there's going to be some things behind the scenes, but, like, I'm curious why DSG is changing it up here. Or I guess, like, if whatever happened with the trade over that line was willing to go for, like, why it happened. But I'm still interested. I feel like they both deserve their own spot. So it's interesting to see them facing off against each other. But in the end, you know, it is what it is, I guess business decisions will be business decisions. And maybe a little bit of pressure for Dokla, a little bit pressure for Castle will do them some good. [00:05:10] Speaker A: I think that it can cause both to, you know, compete better. Specifically, somebody like Dokla, who now is, like, doesn't have his spot guaranteed anymore. The weird thing was, like, I didn't feel like, like Dokla wasn't exceptional this year, but he was kind of carving a brand for himself of playing range, top laner, things like the Vein and the Varys, and not everyone's pulling those out. And then also just playing the Tanks for the team. Like he's so versatile in what he's doing. Whereas Castle's a little more one note as he demand resources from DSG and is kind of the only one that was carrying for them. So Badger, I want to get your thoughts here. I'm a little concerned that this is too many cooks now too. Too many laners that are gonna be wanting resources because they have a carry top laner carry mid laner and an ad carry of course. So like what do you think Badger? Is this a good move or a bad move for Lion? [00:06:01] Speaker B: So this is starting to fall into like the 2018 KT Rolster like ERA of like someone needs to like willingly be the third fiddle. And quite frankly, when you look at this team, the who's the who is the third fiddle on this team? Like I don't know, I it Especially when you have inspired into your jungle. Like they don't have a facilitator. They have a carrier there too. I think Saint's gonna probably end up being on control like control mages and like supportive mids probably for the rest of the split, if any. [00:06:37] Speaker A: I could see it. [00:06:39] Speaker C: And. [00:06:39] Speaker A: And to touch on the point that you just made about inspired as well. Like when I think of the inspired style, I usually think of like full clear, you know, play semi passive and only like go for objectives and scale in the game and like play a cerebral style where you're gonna go for invades and take away their camps while they're on the other side of the map. But it's not always about like he can play aggressive, but oftentimes I find that he just plays efficient. That's how he wants to play. Three different lanes that can want resources is not very efficient for a jungler. That's efficient for the laners then. So yeah, I. I 100 agree. I think the DOA played that really good, like weak side top lane when they needed it. But he could pivot to the range top laners if the comp wanted it. And now I love Castle as a top laner. I'm excited to see what he can do. But that's my concern. At least we'll see if it's founded or not. Misell. Let's talk about the other side of the trade though, because DSG just lost their. [00:07:40] Speaker C: What will they do? All of a sudden a bat signal goes up into the sky and Serti drops down. Oh my God, I'm so happy. No, it's good to see Serti getting off to. It's a weird situation still. I don't like. I don't know how you approach that mentally, but he's excited to play. He's already tweeted about it. He loves the feeling of playing with a team and that's when he feels like he's at his best. So let's hope he gets the opportunity to shine with another opportunity in Tier one, at least. [00:08:06] Speaker A: Yeah, a lot of people should know the name Sturdy already. We talked about him a lot last year. Of course, as he got kind of shuffled around, he was on ds, you know, he was on Dignitas and then lion because lion needed to change in the top lane. Dropping Licorice brought Serdi in for a bit. [00:08:23] Speaker C: Well, it's gonna be ZAMUTO and then 30. [00:08:26] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, exactly. But it was. It's ironic that last year Lyon brought Serdi in for top lane and had to play against Dignitas, who dropped him earlier in the year. And this year DSG have to bring in 30 and they're playing Dignitas this weekend. So 30 just, you know, time's a flat circle, everybody. We're just repeating ourselves here. I'm excited for Certainty to be back. Badger, what are your thoughts on Serde on dsg? Is this going to be an upgrade side grade downgrade? And what does it mean? I mean, I think a playoff push. [00:09:02] Speaker B: I, I've, I've been a huge Castle fan the entire time, so I think it's unfortunately a downgrade, but I think Serde is a guy that can come in and easily fill the shoes just for the time being. I mean, if it's per. Is it going to be permanent? Like, is it gonna play out the rest of the year? We'll see. But like, at the same time, it feels good that Serde's gonna finally get a fair shake as to playing, because if you take a look at his history, man's man's gets jumped around from teams to team. Way too much for a player of his caliber, honestly. [00:09:36] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It's tough. I agree with you. It's a downgrade. Maybe not even necessarily just in. In top lane, but I think for the team as a whole. If you take an average screenshot, this is a point that I'd made in our story meeting yesterday, because I'm going to be casting this, this coming up DSG Dignitas game this weekend. And I said if you take an average screenshot of the gold graph, I would, I would bet if you somehow found a way to map it out, like, on average, the only lane that's ever Going to be ahead is Castle in any game, any given DSG game. Like, he was the rock for this team and they just lost their. Their like, main guy. [00:10:18] Speaker C: Do you have more information behind the scenes of like, why it happened? [00:10:23] Speaker A: I do not. Unfortunately. The. The conversations happening like in the broadcast room. I don't think it would be like, yeah, you know, bad for me to share this information. It was just kind of like, huh? Like, okay, sure. And even like if you check out that name and interview that that happened. I believe it's name end that happened. Maybe you sheep. But I think named with Rigby, the assistant coach for lion even he was like, yeah, I don't think there's a problem with Dokla. Like, I'd like to keep working with him, but it sounded like he was kind of shirking the responsibility for the call up to like, ownership as like, oh, the deadline for roster was coming up. They had a rough showing. The rumor going around is this is because Dokla had really bad games in the EWC qualifiers, not because of his LCS performance, but because of this other thing that now because Lyon did not qualify for that, they're gonna be losing a lot of money. If you just get into that tournament as an org, you get money. So I'm sure that ownership was not happy about that and maybe that was the reason for the change. That's the only, like, rumor I've heard that none of that substantiated. It's all just hearsay. [00:11:34] Speaker B: I got a statistic for you to back that up. Kind of a. Castle is third in the league in spring in gold difference at 15. No one else on his team has a positive gold diff at 15. [00:11:46] Speaker A: Yeah, that's crazy. So, yeah, I think it's. It's interesting. It also answers the question that we kind of posed back when Berserker's Visa or not Visa. When Berserker's residency changed to North America, who's gonna get dropped? Oklahoma, Isles. You know, like, there was an open spot for a new import to come in and looks like we got our answer. Isles has been looking pretty good. So Dokla is the one that was in the hot seat there. That's the big roster shakeup. We'll see what it looks like this weekend and how it impacts our predictions once we get to that later in the episode. But other notable news, things around the horn. Mazel. There's a big streamer tournament thingy event happening this coming Monday because one very notable streamer has been picking up League of Legends talk to me about it. [00:12:37] Speaker C: So it's the AT&T annihilator cup coming up, and they've been doing it every year for a couple of years now. It's a variety of games, but League of Legends usually takes a little bit of a forefront in that grouping. I think it actually started today, technically, on the day that we're recording this, playing Black Ops 7. But it's a rounding of all the big streamers right now coming to play different games. [00:12:56] Speaker A: There's no way. Sorry to cut you. There's no way we're on Black Ops 7. [00:12:59] Speaker C: Yeah, it's Black Ops 7. Yeah. What the. Yep. Hey, it is what it is. It's. It's like all the biggest streamers, even some that aren't, like, super big, but just a bunch of creators coming together. They get drafted into teams. There's, like, captains and everything. And then it's so fun to see, like, so many people streaming on Twitch now playing league that normally don't do it. I know Jinxy is a big one that's been coached by Dante, which just. You have to watch, like, four minutes of that stream to get the gist of what's happening. It is just. [00:13:34] Speaker A: Yeah. What a combination. [00:13:35] Speaker C: It is toxicity, and it is somewhat funny, but trying to see Dante's teach. Jinxy has been pretty cool, but even streamers like Burn, Peanut, and, you know, Emerus, obviously a big name that's usually in that doublelift had typically been a big name in that cup as well, but I believe it expanded this year, too, so should be a lot of fun. And again, like, kicks off next week. [00:13:59] Speaker A: All right. Yeah. Cool that the event's already underway. I still am dumbfounded that we're on Black Ops 7. Not only. [00:14:09] Speaker C: Move forward, old man. [00:14:10] Speaker A: Not just call of Duty 7. Black Ops 7. I remember what Black Ops 1 came out. [00:14:17] Speaker C: Yeah, me too. Played that a lot back every year. Cadence. [00:14:22] Speaker A: That is ridiculous. All right, well, blew my mind in multiple ways there. Viewership around the cup is expected to be very high. Jinx. He's a very popular streamer, and this has brought a lot of eyes to League of Legends. I think this is good for the game overall, especially as we are getting closer and closer to the eventual release of the kind of, like, air QUOTE League2 Big update that they. They've said they're working on. I feel like. [00:14:47] Speaker C: Did you see that? He. He bought. His account was open about it. Like, he got banned. He got banned for it. Like, he literally said, I wasn't going to play bots for 30 levels got banned for it by Riot like perma ban and then Drew Levin gave him an unlocke that is incredibly. That's how bad League of Legends needs viewership. They don't care about their own morals. They just want people to play. [00:15:12] Speaker A: Please, please stream our game. But I think that this is the exact type of audience that they're hoping will they'll start to capture with the big update whenever it does come out as well. Cool to see that. We're already seeing some, you know, streamers come back in and play it like Ludwig I know is like playing it again as well. So like it's. It's cool to see. It's always good for the esport if the overall game popularity is also doing well. Okay, LCK Update, let's get through these relatively fast. Let's give Spark note versions of them because we also don't have as much time as normal for these episodes. It'll probably be a slightly shorter episode than normal. But LCK update, Badger, what do you got for me? [00:15:52] Speaker B: Yeah, so LCK Update. We finally have a new team at the top of the leaderboards. Hobby Life Esports is on a nine series win streak. They have finally passed KT Rolster. There's a trade after the news last week with Diable from Fear X. You know the player that played for Fear X won the hearts of many at first strike. No, first. First Dan start the year after he was benched for missing a fan. Meet Nongshim and Fear X. Just straight up traded 1 for 1 for 80 carries. Diablo for Taehyun. Nongshim played their first series the other day and unfortunately they lost. They're on a five losing streaks or on a five series losing streak right now. Both teams are out of the playoffs right now. To Han Hanjin Brion as the sixth place team at this point. But yeah, kind of running down the table. Hanwell1kt2jg3t14d +5 the artist formerly known as Freddie Brion in 6th and then nongshim, drx, fearx kind of all in that 7, 8, 9 range and then the DN poopers bringing up the rear as per usual. [00:17:14] Speaker A: So yeah, good old D.N. poopers. [00:17:16] Speaker C: Yeah, little note on the T thing. He actually put a really sad note about his transfer. Yeah, he did not expect it whatsoever. Oh no. [00:17:26] Speaker B: Expected it. [00:17:26] Speaker C: He even put a little note. He's like, I was hoping I was gonna make a lasting commitment to this team. So that's not the case. And he just got shipped off. [00:17:36] Speaker B: He got shipped off. But hey, I mean they won. He won a series last week so that's. That's he's already making an impact on his new team and let's see they just lost a Fred at time same the this morning but yeah so that's kind of the LCK rundown to start. No really notable matches for the next week. I mean we get T1 versus Dom 1 and then like. But the next, the next big one is JGT1 next week and Hanwell KT. So be on the lookout for those. Mark those in your calendar early on for next Saturday and Sunday respectfully. [00:18:14] Speaker A: Okay, will do. Thank you for that LPL update. Mazel. What's going on? Where the big narratives going over in the LPL league. [00:18:23] Speaker C: PLG really really good. JDG really good. Top esports really good. Anyone's legend really good. The other four really bad way both There's a two game difference between the top four and the bottom for a group Ascend top four obviously get to skip the plans but the bottom four will be facing off against the Nirvana top four which Nirvana has been picking up and they have way less games but they've actually been looking pretty good. So those might not be guarantees right now. Weibo Gaming actually who just switched out their support hung for a guy named the Hank with no association to the shy. He's not a cousin, he's not a brother, I promise. [00:19:04] Speaker A: Is he big Breaking Bad fan maybe? [00:19:08] Speaker C: Really young guy got his first win on the LPL stage as he came up through the BLG Junior system. Everybody from that team except for one person has been picked up and put into the LPL stage here this year. But it is a first win for Weibo is a stop of a big loss streak as well. So that's got to feel good for the rookie we've had. The home arena of Sion has been the main focus for the last like week of game. So like everybody is playing in Cion at we's home arena. We got their first game win, got their first series win and they got another win last night. But they finally after going out oh and 18 were able to pick up some wins for themselves. So it was a huge moment. I mean the players talked about it, they did interviews. It was a massive moment. Even if it's something small, it shows a little bit of that growth and that's awesome. And then the Hank also. So we had and we had two rookies get their first wins over this last week with Nyah having started for Invictus Gaming replacing Renard in the mid lane. So a lot of stuff going on also. [00:20:08] Speaker A: I just love it when a name of a player or a name of anybody starts with the like the Hank. Like, what makes him so impactful that he is the Hank. Not Hank. It's the Hank. [00:20:20] Speaker B: The Hank. [00:20:21] Speaker C: I. I made a. He didn't have a great night, but he made one Nico play and I had to do the. He sells pro plays and pro play accessories line. [00:20:29] Speaker A: That's awesome. [00:20:30] Speaker B: Banger. [00:20:30] Speaker A: Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Still never like, was a big King of the Hill guy, which is why I went for the Breaking Bad reference, because I'm watching through that right now. But every time I see a clip of King of the Hill, I'm like, I need watch his show. Like, it seems so funny. [00:20:44] Speaker C: I grew up on that show. [00:20:46] Speaker A: I know so many people that swear by it. That and Futurama. Those are two like big blank spots that I never got to. [00:20:52] Speaker C: It took place like two hours from my. My house or like the. The theoretical setting like they did in Arlington, Texas and I was in Witcha. So they like when they came to the Hank. Yes, in my dreams. [00:21:06] Speaker A: Nice. All right, cool. Well, that's it for news around the horn. If we missed anything, let us know in the community Discord Remind. Join that through the link in the description wherever you are listening. Also, shout out to anybody who supports the podcast, either through our merch shop or through the the Patreon. So thank you to everybody there. And I'm just tripping over my words because I'm trying to pull up the fantasy which I forgot to prep already. League rundown fantasy. If you have not joined already, make sure to hop in. I am not on the podium, Damn it. Ah. I'm only fourth place. Shout out Puppet, Korag and Godpachi for the top three right now. And I don't think I'm ever catching up to Puppet. 737 points is a lot. I'm at 650. [00:21:52] Speaker B: Ooh. [00:21:54] Speaker A: But a podium finish is usually what I aim for anyway. So shout out to anybody who's in that league as well. With that being said, let's hop into the leagues themselves. We got LCS and lec. Playoffs are approaching. LEC has one more week of regular season play and then LLCs will have two weeks. But the playoff picture is already getting painted and on both sides of the of of the rift here. So let's start with lcs because Badge, I'm throw this one to you to start us off here. Just running through the standings. We kind of Have a definitive top four, bottom four right now in the standings when we look at all of the LCs. [00:22:35] Speaker B: Yeah. So there are three teams already locked into the upper bracket, part of the playoffs with two weeks left to play. And another team locked into playoffs with C9 and TL both 5, 0 with a 10, 3 game score. Then it's Lion 41 with a 93 game score. Then FlyQuest with a 3, 2 and an 85 game score. But then it's the, the clusterfuck as we can call it honestly at this point, given the fact that three of the four teams are on a four plus series losing streak at this point with Disguise, Sentinels, Shopify, Rebellion and Dignitas. My God, this is gonna be a barn like a banger in the like last two weeks to try and figure out which two teams can separate themselves from the rest of this pack. There's gonna be some very important games coming up. [00:23:28] Speaker A: And I want you, because technically there are three teams tied for fifth, but they do. Like if we were organizing them based on seniority or like higher chance of making it, it actually would be Disguise, Sentinel, Shopify. Now I want everyone to, to take a guess as to why. Why is Disguised favored over Sentinels currently? [00:23:52] Speaker B: Is it strength of win? [00:23:54] Speaker C: It must. [00:23:55] Speaker B: No. [00:23:55] Speaker C: No. [00:23:56] Speaker B: Okay. [00:23:58] Speaker A: And for the record, they're both one and four, but Disguised is two and nine game score. They have only won two games, both of which were in their series win. They have sent those five and nine. They have won four, five games despite only winning one series. [00:24:12] Speaker B: What's the, what's the. It's the what. Okay. What's the tie break? [00:24:18] Speaker A: So I was told this last week and this is public information, you can see it in the rulebook. We, there's a chance we talk about it. I'm not going to give my opinion on it as a professional, but I'm just going to give you the information and then I would love to hear both of your opinions in the rule book for this split and I believe for next split. There is no game record to decide anything for tiebreakers. It is alphabetical right now. It is series score and then head to head. [00:24:50] Speaker B: Okay. [00:24:52] Speaker A: And DSG beat Sentinels. So even though DSG has lost or Sentinels has won three more games than dsg, game score does not factor into tiebreakers for series scores. It is only head to head. And then it's like, I think then it's strength of win and then something else. So theoretically, if you have more game wins like strength of win, you can get more Points for that anyway. So it kind of can factor in, but that's only if you're tied. Then in like if it's like a three way tie in multiple head to heads. Because otherwise you're just head to head. Like if DSG beat Sentinels, they go on ahead. [00:25:30] Speaker B: What. [00:25:30] Speaker A: What do people think about that game. Game record not factoring into tiebreakers? [00:25:35] Speaker C: Not a fan? [00:25:36] Speaker B: No, I'm not a fan at all. What? [00:25:38] Speaker C: Like game record matters. [00:25:40] Speaker B: Game record matters. Especially since we're playing best of threes now. Like, come on. Like, that's the whole point of having best of threes in the second column of game score is because I. Game score matters. [00:25:52] Speaker C: I'll just say though, I mean this is kind of in. I'm hopefully I don't get fired for this. I don't think I will. But I'm not technically allowed. I'm not talking. I'm just gonna preface. I'm not talking smack. Promise. [00:26:05] Speaker A: Okay. [00:26:06] Speaker C: But NACL also has some really stupid rules when it comes to games. In terms of the. The. The who wins in that kind of winning order. It's strictly head to heads. Like it's literally has. Again, game score is not included. And it's. Yeah. And I think we were led to believe we were told one thing and then it came back to be the opposite when they just like randomly went to the discord and announced it. So we were like led to believe this one thing like about playoffs being like game record and all that kind of stuff. And then it turns out we're just like the lcs. So. [00:26:40] Speaker A: Yeah, well, I think the big confusion is that the precedent historically has always been the game record matters. [00:26:48] Speaker C: Yeah. For sure. [00:26:49] Speaker A: The only counter argument would be, oh, but DSG beat Sentinels. So if they're the same series score then like DSG should get it because they beat them. But I'm like, I. That was the first series of the split and like if Sentinels are having closed series against the top teams and DSG is getting smashed by everybody. Yeah, that. That's where it feels weird to have this kind of disconnect. So I just want to give an update because that might shock some people as to potential tiebreaker scenarios, because I think we're going to get tiebreakers. The bottom four teams only play each other for the next two weeks and the top four teams only play each other. That's just how the schedule naturally played out. So I think high chance that there's tiebreakers and that there's going to be some weird stuff going on with the tiebreakers because of the. This kind of like, shift in. In the historical precedent. So. Yep. All right. With all. With all that dirty laundry out, let's talk about what happened this past weekend. We're gonna do a real kind of spark notes version of both leagues just because again, schedule wise, we're gonna have to keep this episode a little short for. For us on the podcast. Mazel. What were the four series that happened this weekend and who walked away? The winners of each one. [00:28:09] Speaker C: All right, first and foremost, we did have C9 versus Dignitas. C9 came out with the 2:1 victory, still holding their heads high with that undefeated streak. And also I've only lost those three games. Now it will be Team Liquid versus DSG for the second series on that day. And it was a 2. 0 for Team Liquid, who seem to be ramping up as we go through. Obviously still undefeated as well right there with Cloud 9. Then on Sunday, the second day, we had lion versus Sentinels 2. Zero for Lion. And then following that with Fly Quest taking a 2:1 over Shopify Rebellion. Yep. [00:28:47] Speaker A: And I think that the surprising ones here is that Dig got a game on C9. [00:28:53] Speaker C: True. [00:28:54] Speaker A: They just keep doing it, man. [00:28:55] Speaker B: They. [00:28:56] Speaker A: They have gotten a. A game against Cloud9, Liquid and Lion, the top three teams. That's kind of crazy. [00:29:04] Speaker C: That's kind of crazy. [00:29:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:06] Speaker A: Yeah. Badger, what's going on there are Dig just like, better than Owen 5 would make you assume? [00:29:13] Speaker B: Honestly, Maybe. [00:29:16] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:29:16] Speaker B: It's hard to tell. I. I think that Photon is actually. Photon has like one good game a week. It feels like. Okay, it's like. It's like Dignitas, if it was best of ones and they could somehow isolate that, like one. I don't know. It's so weird watching this team because, like Xu. I mean, so in baseball, there's the three true outcomes, which is either you walk, you strike out, or you hit a home run. Yeah, it feels like Xu either walks, strikes out or hits a home run every time. I just like. Yep, this whole team just seems like that outcome. Like. Yeah, it just feels weird. They. It doesn't help that C9 kind of threw like that game two away. They're in a pretty good spot. And then it was. And then the. The. The Dig comp came online and. Which is surprising because they were playing Nocturne Galio nico with double AD carries. So C9 really should have been in a good position, but FBI just kind of carried. And yeah, Dignitas won a couple of fights and got Baron and Elder and just ended the game. Like, that's just. [00:30:40] Speaker A: It came down to a clutch, like a late game. Baron, teamfight and Dignitas win it. Get the Baron, get the Elder afterwards and just close out the game right there. It's like that was a weird sequence. I think C9 should have 2 0ed this, but it just shows. Never count out Dignitas because these guys [00:30:56] Speaker B: for some reason are not Dignitas. [00:30:59] Speaker A: They are not cohesive. They're not consistent. 100 they're not consistent, but their peaks can punch hard. And I think we're seeing that specifically with these, like, big pressure moments. And I, I love the analogy for Xu because that's exactly how I see him. It's like in. In three games, he'll have one game that he ends, one game that he just kind of does nothing, and one game that he hard fucking carries. What's going on, man? Like, how is. It's kind of crazy. Like the Xinjiang, he was unkillable, but then on the J4 game, he just like throws the game immediately in the mid lane with that first gank. And then game three, it's like he doesn't really do much and then they just kind of peter out and die. It's like, okay, well, that's. [00:31:46] Speaker B: That's stuff. [00:31:48] Speaker A: But yeah, I, I did. I. I like to see Dignitas at least making the league interesting because if they were just getting on, it's so much harder to talk about them. And a lot of people will still just think it's funny to on dig, so they will just continue to do so. But they have gotten wins against all three of the teams locked for the upper bracket. This is not a team that you can sleep on. And their season, their playoffs is on the line here. Like, they have to win two in a row in order to make it in mathematically. They. They cannot. I don't think it's possible for them to only win one series and then somehow like get a random tiebreaker and they just have to win two. And again they're against two teams at the bottom of the barrel. It's dsg and then I believe Sentinels, I think, is their next one. I don't remember exactly what's happening in that final week of the. The season. Yeah, it's Sentinels. I was able to pull that up here. So DSG and then Sentinels. Sentinels is another tough one because that's another team that's like, they got a lot of wins even though they're 1 and 4. So C9 dig. I think is is my recommended series to watch just for how wacky dignitas are making this league and also so all the C9 fans can have heart attacks because oh my God. If you're a C9 fan, you probably have the least confidence in this 50 current standing of this team. This is the most fragile 50 that we've seen, [00:33:13] Speaker B: especially when you consider what TL's doing at this point. [00:33:16] Speaker A: Yep, right on their heels. Both of these teams tied at 5 and 0, 10 and 3 in game score and they're gonna phase off in the final week. So C9's got a tough opponent. TL's got a tough opponent. If they both win, then there's gonna be the two undefeated teams against each other in that final week. That's a very, very fun kind of scheduling for the season overall. So we'll see what happens there. Mazel. Any other kind of series that you want to talk about or at least like highlight as? Oh, that was a fun one to watch. Or an interesting one for narrative purposes. [00:33:50] Speaker C: I always think Fly Quest being able to pull out against Shopify Rebellion. I. I don't have much faith in Shopify. Let's be real. But it's always nice to see Fly Quest, like shining a little bit, finding some fun plays as well. They're always a fun team to watch. So I think that series was interesting nonetheless. And it went three games. [00:34:05] Speaker B: So watch game two of Shopify versus Fly Quest. Just for B Boy to just drop 15 kills on Corki, like that's just the fun of. That's the. That's the reason to watch that is because that. Okay, Corky, is Corky busted? Like he just feels like like the best AD carry in the game. [00:34:24] Speaker A: I don't know if he's busted. He's good. He's definitely good. And also they just kind of like ignored him a bunch. Like, I think that B Boy was able to free fire in a lot of those team fights because of what Contracts and Fudge were doing for him. Contracts, I thought also had a very, very good game too. I think that he's kind of like Xu. He has the ability to just pop off. I know that he died a bunch, but man, if you just looked at the space that he was making for B Boy in the fights, yeah, it's felt right. Like you can meme like haha. Like he died five times. But they were good deaths for the most part. Just creating the. The opportunity for Bevo to pop off. But B Boy is having a bit of a renaissance here towards the end of Split two. Spring split. We're not dlt. I can. I can say spring split now. Yeah. It's weird how you, like, drill something in your head for a full year and then it changes again. [00:35:23] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:23] Speaker A: I think that Shopify are still making me sad, but man, this. This race for the last two playoff spots is going to be close. It honestly just makes me want to talk about predictions going forward because I. I honestly feel like lion, they were very dominant over Sentinels. Teal were very dominant over dsg, so we don't have to cover those as much. Week 6 predictions is where things get really interesting because the last two weeks of lcs, I think we're in for a treat. Not only will we see at least two series of the best teams against each other each weekend, but we will also see the playoff race get very, very close as the bottom four teams will only play each other. Starts off on Saturday with Shopify. Rebellion versus sentinels. We all have sentinels taking this one, but how confident are we. Mazel. You have a 2. [00:36:11] Speaker B: 0. [00:36:11] Speaker C: Then two ones for me and 0202-020. [00:36:15] Speaker A: Why. Why are you so confident in Sentinels taking this? [00:36:18] Speaker C: I just. I don't have. I mean, I know Sentinels are right there with them, but I'm just not a believer in this roster for Shot by Rebellion. Sadly, I think Sentinels, while they're on a bit of a lost streak, they've had more promising, more recent series at least. So I still give it to Sentinels holistically. [00:36:39] Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. Badge, do you have a big reason for why Shopify can pick up a game otherwise? I do. [00:36:49] Speaker B: I. I think the bottom tier. I. I mean, I have spoilers. I have every series going to three games because we're kind of getting the Duke it out of the bottom four and the top four. So it just feels like this is the most interesting weekend we've had in a long time for the LCS at this point. But Shopify is good for. Shopify just feels good for one game. Like they. They all. They're. They are the. Okay, we mustered up enough. Like, all right, we can come back. We can bounce back. We can get this. Oh, all right, Cool. We won game two. All right, let's go into game three and then they get blasted like. Like they. They take a little bit of time on stage to warm up and then they can come out and figure out the tendencies in game two and then just lose game three. So. But what's your. What's Your reason? [00:37:44] Speaker A: I'd say mine are similar. Mine's very focused on a specific player. I think that Contracts is going to be up against Hambock. Both of these are aggressive junglers that if they get a lead they know what to do with it. And I think that in at least one of the games contracts will be good enough either through draft or through early game decision making to get that lead. The reason I have Sentinel taking the series is I think who he is just that much better than SEOs like oh my God, who he is. He's my front runner actually. Vulcan is actually probably front runner for like all team support right now. But who he's definitely in my top three. I would say he's like a solid number two pushing towards that number one despite Sentinels being one in four in the series score. Very impressive who he individually is doing. But again I think that Jungle Diff can come into play here. Top lane. This is gonna be the two worst top laners in the league going up against each other. That's gonna be kind of nothing burger mid lane. It's two of the bottom four mid laners against each other. Kind of a nothing burger. I think it's going to come down to Junglers and bot lanes who can get their bot lane ahead but we'll see what happens. TL versus or sorry not TL versus dsg. Dig versus DSG is happening as well on Saturday. So we get both of the bottom four matchups here which again normally it'd be like it's kind of boring but because playoff implications are so tight, this actually makes this very exciting as well as the fact DSG is not coming in at full power. They have lost Castle and it's Serdi coming in. Despite that, Badger and mazel both have DSG2 1. I have Dignitas 21 for that reason. I think the Photon was already a good top laner and Dignitas has shown that they can take games against the top teams. They're now against a weekend disguised who I honestly think I would have had Dig beating anyway. So part of me wanted to go dig 20 and in fact you know what? I'm gonna do it. I'm changing it to Dig two. Oh, I think the Dig Dig should take the series pretty handedly. Mazel. Talk me down for the ledge. Why do you think DSG takes it? [00:39:49] Speaker C: Because 30 that. That's. That's it. [00:39:53] Speaker A: You actually think he's gonna step in and just smash in lane? [00:39:56] Speaker C: I hope so. [00:39:58] Speaker B: 30 revenge game against dignitaries. [00:40:00] Speaker C: Yeah, dude, he's gonna be feeling be like Super Saiyan 30. He's gonna be ready to go. True. I don't know if he'll actually make the difference, but I think, you know, it's a lot of new blood for DSG and I'm excited to see how they work together mostly. [00:40:16] Speaker A: I don't know if this is actually going to be made in time, but I did last minute request a graph for this series of 30 stats on dig vs 30 stats against dig because he did go into the lion to play against Dig in the end of summer split. And I was like, that's kind of funny. So like, maybe, maybe there's something there. I don't know what the stats look like. I have not looked at them myself. But if they're interesting, maybe that'll fly at some point because yeah, I think he won that series. I'm pretty sure they beat Dig, but I don't exactly remember. Lion was not great last year. Okay, Sunday, this is where the heavy hitters come out to play. C9 versus fly quest kicks things off. We all have C9 21 continuing the undefeated streak, but dropping the game here and there. Man, Fly Quest, they. They give me so much hope to believe in the growth of this team, but just not enough, you know, faith to. To root for them right now. Or rather to predict them right now. Badger, is that similar for your sentiment or is. Is there more nuance to your reason for C9 taking this one? [00:41:33] Speaker B: I. At some point they're gonna prove that they're the 5.0team. And it feels like taking on a Fly Quest team, which has kind of been, I don't want to say shaky, but there's. There's times that I. I'm still trying to get convinced by this team. I mean, it is still a young squad. Got to keep that in mind there. It's. It's a young group, you know, a couple of just promoted players. Tech. There's three guys on this team under the age of 21, which is a wild thing to think about. So they're still growing. I. [00:42:13] Speaker A: This is. [00:42:14] Speaker B: This seems like a team that's gonna break out in summer Split, but just for the time being. Just the experience of C9. This. C9 and TL are fighting to be the best team in the region with lion closely running up on their heels. So I think FlyQuest can give them a good run for their money. But in the end, I think C9 just takes it. [00:42:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Mazel. Any other thoughts on that one or. Basically the same. [00:42:42] Speaker C: Yeah, I have A lot of the same feelings, especially on that side of things. So I think it's right as rain. [00:42:49] Speaker A: All right, we'll see if FlyQuest can continue to scale into summer, but for now it is C9s a game. The next one's a little harder for me to predict. TL versus lion, the scrim champs versus the winter champs. Lion did take the title last winter. Split and Team Liquid were kind of promised at the beginning of the year to be one of the best teams, if not the best team based on scrim bucks if you buy into that stock, but didn't translate to the in game performance. In fact, they almost didn't even make playoffs. They had to beat Dignitas in a best of one just to get into playoffs and now they're looking much better. They're 5 and oh in standings, tied with C9 a 103 game score as well. But there's still this factor of lion that just makes me believe in them. And I know that this is a weird week for lion because they just picked up Castle. But if you watched the TLD DSG games last weekend, Castle kind of smashed Morgan and Lane. So if lion do play Castle, I actually do think that they can capture some of that magic in the top lane. And then as long as Inspired can contain Jose Dioto, who is my front runner for mvp by the way. Like Jose is just crazy right now. It's honestly, I think for MVP conversation. We haven't had this like proper on the podcast here, but my, my front runners would be like Jose and Vulcan. [00:44:13] Speaker B: Yeah, actually. [00:44:14] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a fun conversation. What do you think guys? Do either of you have front runners for. For MVP currently? [00:44:23] Speaker C: Tough question. [00:44:25] Speaker B: It's. Yeah. [00:44:28] Speaker A: Other names would be like maybe Thanatos or Morgan. I. I like Morgan can hold it down. [00:44:33] Speaker C: Thanatos in my initial thought process. I mean I'll give it to Jose. [00:44:37] Speaker B: It just depends on how much like you. You value like the first, like the first like two phases of the game. Because I feel like Thanatos just. Just runs the show at that point but once it gets later on there's still like those issues that he's had in the past that keep appearing. I don't know. I like Jose for mvp. Kind of makes sense right now. Just. [00:44:59] Speaker A: It feels like it does. Like it inspires in the conversation in the top five, of course. But I feel like compared to past splits, he's had a slightly quieter split but he's still looking really good. So I feel like it's going to be between Like Jose inspired Vulcan Thanatos. Like. Like those four in the. In the conversation currently. But we still have two weeks to play. So obviously this is my front runner decision or my. My thought can change greatly based on how these games play out. But I'm going to be watching Jose versus inspired very closely in this TL versus Lion match. I have Lion 2 1, Badgers TL 2 1. Mazel has TL 2. Okay, wait. That's pretty confident. Mazel. Why do you think a sweep for TL here? [00:45:42] Speaker C: They've been looking good. I think. While I think some of the early season fluctuations were worrying, I think this team has really, like, found the way they play the game and found an identity. I think it's gonna be really powerful. [00:45:58] Speaker A: I like it. I think that they've also been getting more people switching on. This was something that they talked about last weekend on the broadcast was like, it feels like they can't get all of their carries having a good game at the same time. Like, it's either Morgan Quid or Yawn. Like, two of them can have a good game, but one will have a dud while the other two are having a good game. Yeah. So it's like, if all three can get. Jose has been pretty consistent. Core JJ has been relatively consistent, but, like, if they can just get the other three to have good games consistently, then this team is, I think, the. The best team in the league and should be favorites to. To take the championship. Go to msi. [00:46:41] Speaker B: We'll see. [00:46:43] Speaker A: That's it for predictions for LCS as well as our review from week five. Now let's hop across the pond, or rather across the Atlantic to LEC over in Europe. Talk about what happened this past weekend as well as predictions for the coming weekend. Because the playoff race is weirdly like, it's kind of locked. Like we have all the playoff teams. We're just playing for who actually qualifies Mazel top to bottom. Run me through the 10 teams in the LEC and the standings, including announcing who's officially locked in for playoffs. [00:47:20] Speaker C: Yeah. So we've got some. Some fun stuff here. At least it is going to be team vitality leading the way here. 8 and 1 and locked as well on an 8 win streak. Gonna be feeling really good. So lost that first series. Then we have carmine core at 6 and 0 as well. And they will also be in that running. Gonna be feeling good there. You got Navi at 6 and 3. Obviously you gotta be a little careful with the positionings here, but this is how it's panned out at least. He's also gonna be in there. It's so bad. It's so bad. G2 are fourth at four and two. Top six in there as well. You've got movie star Cory at that next position at 4 and 2 as well, but just some variations in how they dictate who's higher than the other. And then Giant X is rounding out the top six at four and two as well. Then we have Fnatic just locked out there or at least just outside of range at three and six and seventh place. And you have SK Gaming two and seven and eighth if shifters one and eight at ninth place. And team Heretics in tenth place at one and eight as well. [00:48:35] Speaker A: Yep. And team Heretics three and 17 in game record. And Badger, we've been keeping track of this for a while. Heretics continued the lost streak. Eight in a row. They could not beat Shifters. So Shifters officially got a game win before or a series win rather, before Dignitas. It was a fun race. [00:48:56] Speaker B: We tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it Dignitas even matter. [00:49:03] Speaker A: Shifters are better than Dig confirmed. [00:49:05] Speaker B: Is that it? [00:49:06] Speaker A: God, we shifters could take a game [00:49:08] Speaker B: bring back Battle of the Atlantic, but just for like the bottom dude teams of these regions. Honestly, I'm telling you. [00:49:14] Speaker C: Yeah, never. I don't want to. I don't want to bash on NA too much. [00:49:20] Speaker A: I was. I was prepared. [00:49:22] Speaker C: I was ready. I was just. I just realized that the. The game scores. Like LEC is doing a lot better there at 96 right now. We are still two weeks out of the playoffs and we're at 130 games in LPL. LCS is at 50. [00:49:36] Speaker B: Yeah, we've. [00:49:37] Speaker C: We might have like three times the amount of games at LPL that the LCS has. Well, LEC has grown, though. I mean, they've gotten a lot more. More games under their belt. And I think it has to do with a little bit of the way they do their schedule now. [00:49:47] Speaker A: It will also they have two more teams, so in a round robin. I don't know exact math, but that will add a significant number of. Of games just by having two extra every week. So I think that's part of it. But even in like that. That. That's a excuse with an asterisk because when it comes to lpl, they just play more games in general. So. Yeah, I still would love to see [00:50:13] Speaker B: both of the eastern regions play a ton of games. So. [00:50:16] Speaker A: Yep. But for LEC specifically, I think it has more to do with there's more teams, which also means more potential for three game series, which means just more games overall. [00:50:30] Speaker B: Okay, yeah. Can we talk about how it's so weird to read the standings and have it be like there are three, four and two teams just because, you know, we're on a road trip coming up. But that's yarp. That's beside the point. [00:50:43] Speaker A: There are 3, 4 and 2 teams and a 6, 0 team. Those are the only four teams you'll see this coming weekend and that will really solidify the standings. But before we talk about that, let's talk about what happened this past weekend. The big story, honestly, like we don't have to talk too in depth about any of this because it was just two things on the line. It was how good are G2 and Navi and Vitality going to look going into playoffs? Like, like where can they go? Can Vitality clench an upper bracket? Can G2 like you know, win out? Can Vitality and rather can Navi also like try and win some big games here? So that was just seeding the only other big one because three teams are already locked out. It was Fnatic. If Fnatic wins out, they can hope and pray that there's some like world that they can sneak into playoffs still. And unfortunately, Badger, talk to me about the matches that happened this past weekend and the end result for Fnatic as we already kind of highlighted. So top to bottom, what were the matches and who won? [00:51:44] Speaker B: Yeah, so last week we started the week with Fnatic. Fnatic versus Heretics and Fnatic took care of business for the 2 0. Then we had Vitality versus SK. Vitality 21 over SK. Dropping a game. Kind of. Kind of concerning. But you know, they got the job done. That's all that matters. You get the series win at this point doesn't matter. Then we had the bat the toilet bowl between Heritage Scissors and this is [00:52:10] Speaker A: my favorite series of the weekend. You cannot convince me otherwise. Honestly, it was so funny. [00:52:15] Speaker B: Honestly. You didn't make drinking games out of the series. It was fantastic to watch. [00:52:20] Speaker A: Every time somebody dies mid lane, take a shot, you will be. [00:52:24] Speaker C: Oh, I was gonna say you'll have [00:52:25] Speaker B: to get your stomach pumped at that point. Shifters, shifters, two zero, heretic and win the the. The hypothetical versus dignitas. G2, two O's, Navi and a series. The G2 didn't look like they wanted to win until they actually won the series. So [00:52:46] Speaker A: those were pretty abysmal starts to both of those games. God. [00:52:49] Speaker B: G2, G2, the first like 17 minutes of both of those games. [00:52:53] Speaker A: That turret dive in game two, what the was happening there? [00:52:57] Speaker B: I. I've purged that one for my memory banks. I've like bleached that. I've bleached that out at this point. I like rewatched the highlights and I'm like, oh, oh God. [00:53:06] Speaker C: Oh God. [00:53:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:08] Speaker B: Seeing that happen again in real time was really bad. [00:53:12] Speaker A: The fact. Sorry, we're going on a bit of a tangent here before you finish the schedule, but the fact that G2 in game one lost three members back to back to back off of like that ridiculous bot lane play and then still [00:53:25] Speaker B: found a way to come back and win. [00:53:28] Speaker A: Dude, Ezreal Quadra kills. We had two of those this weekend. I guess that's the. That's the sauce. [00:53:33] Speaker B: It's a good week for Ezreal, you know. Yeah, it's a good week for Israel and then. [00:53:38] Speaker A: Oh, you're sorry. Continue though for. [00:53:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a. That's a time. That's a story for another time. And then going into Monday, Fnatic having to win against Vitality to start the miracle run. And Vitality takes care of business locks top two knocks Fnatic out of playoffs and confirms the six teams that we have for playoffs, especially after movie star Coy takes down shifters. Two one kind of. Kind of scary though, you know. [00:54:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:54:08] Speaker B: Losing a game to shifters to start getting on the back foot in a weird game that they really shouldn't have [00:54:16] Speaker A: lost, but especially when shifters had nothing to play for. It's like their. Their season or their split rather was over. Like there's no shot they make get enough points here they're only one series win. So yeah, McCoy looking a little shaky but man, Fnatic, they were trying their hearts out, dude. [00:54:34] Speaker B: Upset. [00:54:36] Speaker A: I think it was upset they got the other Quadra kill on Ezreal. Yeah, he man he hard carried and [00:54:43] Speaker B: then they just speaking of dropping 15 on a team Fnat. [00:54:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:54:48] Speaker B: As upset doing it for fanatic in a latch last ditch effort against Vitality but sadly it wasn't enough and nope, I'll be watching playoffs from home. [00:55:01] Speaker A: Yeah, they. They truly will. Yeah, I feel like that was sadly the story of Fnatic was it was just the upset show and if he can't hard carry then they can't win and knock knockoff completely fathered in Piros. Lyncis kind of out jungled Razork in two out of the three games and Humanoid I think had a really good series. He shows that he still has what it takes to play at the top level. Very impressive stats across the board and yeah, I mean they drafted around him too. I will say very funny that Vitality's first win was though after I say Knock Knocko father and Piros. It was after he played the TF game top and got completely in lane and it just didn't matter because they. They were able to win elsewhere on the map. But it shows that Nagnako is fun champool. He's like a more intense dola where he. He can play the range top laners but he also has the carry top laners that he'll pull out just like renekton and such and hard carry on those two. But yeah, TF and Varus for. [00:56:09] Speaker C: For the. [00:56:10] Speaker A: The two wins. Yeah. Knock Knocko is just so hard to. To lock down, man. Like every top laner in LEC needs to figure out how the hell to deal with this guy because he is very good at the game. What? Oh, I just. I was trying to click over on my tab to go back to the the file and I clicked X on the tab. Okay, what were some of the other fun series? [00:56:34] Speaker B: Oh, let's talk about Team Heretic shifters. [00:56:37] Speaker A: Can we talk about Team Heretic shifters? [00:56:40] Speaker B: Do we have to? [00:56:43] Speaker A: Yes, we. We're blessed. We get to talk about this. This absolute show of a series for shifters. [00:56:51] Speaker B: They. [00:56:51] Speaker A: They got it done. Oh my God. Was this silly. It was basically Ice and Rooster, the two Koreans saying who can carry harder? [00:57:03] Speaker B: And it was Rooster. [00:57:04] Speaker A: Rooster could carry harder. Dude, that game won. When Ice on the Zeri just like jumps over the wall. 1v4 with a Yumi on him and tries to take. Take the fight. I was like, what the hell? [00:57:15] Speaker B: He's like, I. I saw that happen and I just went, you know what? I see the vision. I like those odds. Honestly. [00:57:21] Speaker A: He was. He was so pissed, man. Like you could tell just gameplay. Oh my God, he was so bad at his top half of the map. Yeah. [00:57:31] Speaker B: Free. Free, Free Free him. [00:57:34] Speaker A: This guy got two pentakills earlier in the year in the same game and now he's gotta try and hard carry this team. Oh my God. [00:57:44] Speaker B: Pretty bad. It's. Yeah, it's. It's not great. He's tried his best. You know. Game two wasn't playing as mobile of a character against a full dive comp and they were just constantly, you know, pressuring him. He wasn't able to get very much value in that game and shift. [00:58:02] Speaker A: And that was the story of game to. Yeah, it came to 100. Like they got dove, I think twice in the first 10 minutes. [00:58:09] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:58:09] Speaker A: And, like, Ice and Way were just completely shut down by that point. And Rooster, I mean, oh, my God, his rumble in that game one was disgusting. And his gnar was also very, very good. In game two, turns out the Skarner not able to shut down. Oh, wait, no, that. [00:58:28] Speaker B: That wasn't. [00:58:29] Speaker A: Was that the Skarner Top? We had a Skarner Top in one of the games. [00:58:33] Speaker B: No, now I'm blanking on which they played Skarner Jungle. [00:58:37] Speaker A: Do you remember which game? They're all kind of blending together. Somebody played Skarner Top and it did not work. [00:58:44] Speaker B: Unsurprising that Skarner tops did not work at this point. Yeah. [00:58:49] Speaker A: But either way, that might have been one of the MCOID games. I think that was. [00:58:53] Speaker B: Was it McOid? I don't know. Let me look up the. [00:58:55] Speaker A: The leader, Merwin, had a questionable weekend. Maybe. I think I'm wonderful. Oh, he did play Shyvana. Yes. I don't know what the hell I'm smoking right now. I don't know what I'm on. [00:59:10] Speaker B: Skarner Jungle. [00:59:13] Speaker A: I swear there was a Scarner. [00:59:14] Speaker B: We saw a couple of. [00:59:15] Speaker A: Somewhere in my memory. [00:59:16] Speaker B: No, there was a twisted. We saw Twisted Fate Top Lane, but we didn't see Skarner Todd. [00:59:20] Speaker A: All right, well, you know what? All I'll say, let's get off that topic, because I might be going crazy, but watch Team Heretic Shifters. I honestly had. We. We prepped this going into the weekend. It was so funny. Mizels, do you like looking at explosions? [00:59:37] Speaker C: I do. [00:59:37] Speaker A: Do you like watching, like, things burn? [00:59:40] Speaker C: Yes, dude. [00:59:42] Speaker A: You should watch Team Heretics Shifters. This. This lived up to the toilet bowl expectations I had for it. And I feel like we could get similar levels of hilarity in LCS this weekend because we get, like, DSG and maybe even next weekend as well. So I'm very excited for that. I love watching teams that are. They both are bad at ending the game of League of Legends. It's it, man. You get some funny League of Legends. You get some really funny league. [01:00:10] Speaker B: The thing that I've been saying all season long about the. You just have to win one team fight after 25 minutes and you're. And you're in a really good spot. But these. These teams just don't know how to win a team fight and then use that. Use that advantage to make pressure on the map, like, exactly. It's impressive how late some of these games are going between when it's lower. Lower table teams. [01:00:35] Speaker A: Yep. I am sad that my Prediction of SK with a steel chair netted me a lost prediction. All right, that's our recommendations for last weekend. We gotta wrap up this episode relatively soon here, so let's get over our predictions quickly. We had a couple close matches, though, because this is the last road show for the lec. It's hosted by MCO over in Spain. Expecting the crowd to be awesome as the road shows always are for the LEC. And it starts off with KC versus G2. A banger. The finals of last split. And I got G2 taking it like they did in the finals. But Badger and Mizell both have KC taking it. Badger, what's your reasoning? [01:01:18] Speaker B: Their early games last week were very unconvincing and they were. They were bailed out because they were playing Navi. I mean, Navi is a good team, but they're. Navi's not. Casey, like Casey might just be the best team in Europe this split. And G2 has to to try and take the crown back. [01:01:46] Speaker A: It's going to be tough for them. I think KC are the true competition. Vitality are up there, but I think it will be another KCG2 finals if I had to put money on it right now. Next up, though, the contenders, or at least one of them. I think one of these teams is going to get beat up this weekend. It's GX versus mco. We all have MCO across the board. No surprise. GX is, I think the. You know that the meme of like the soldiers with their guns, like standing at the wall and there's a clown behind them. That's GX in this weekend's games. Then we have G2 versus GX the next day. G. G2 across the board for us. MCOI versus KC. Things get interest. Have Casey, Badger has KC. Mezel, you have MCO21. Is this just JoJo P NA bias? [01:02:34] Speaker B: Maybe. [01:02:35] Speaker A: What do you boost? Also odd. KC. And they're a French org. I feel like that should be a double bias for you. [01:02:42] Speaker C: You know, you have to take heads or tails. No, I do. I do see a little bit of a moment for IMCO as well and have a little bit of spice of drama at the end for kids. KC too. [01:02:53] Speaker A: Okay. [01:02:53] Speaker B: All right. [01:02:54] Speaker A: Hey, it's fun when we have opposing predictions. I'll never. I'll never be upset about that. Then it's KC versus gx. No surprise we all have KC taking this. But I do want to note that Badger is the only one that has KC going undefeated on this weekend. I have G2 beating them as well. As McCoy beating them, which means Badger's the only one that believes KC will overtake vitality and be first seed going into playoffs. [01:03:17] Speaker B: Kind of logical outcome, which means it's not going to happen. [01:03:20] Speaker A: So 100%, this is Europe. In fact, it is Europe. And then rounding out the weekend, we have MCOI versus G2, and that is G2. Two ones across the board for all of us. I'm going to double check the schedule. Yeah. So the first day is going to be Friday because on the road shows, instead of a Saturday, Sunday, Monday, it is instead a Friday, Saturday, Sunday. So Those first series, KCG2 and GX MCOID will be on Friday. Set your calendars. Actually, we're recording on Thursday night. So by the time you're hearing this, you'll probably already have some of the games out, if not all of them played. But yeah, that's just how LEC has been running the schedule. But that is also all the time that we have for this episode. Pretty quick one this time around. We still got just over an hour, but we do have deadlines to get to on our end, so. Yeah. With that being said, mazel. How many stars would you like everybody to give this specific episode if they [01:04:21] Speaker C: had to rate it Pacific out of stars? Pacifically, five. I think that's the number. It just. Grandma came to my head. I don't know where it came from, but. [01:04:33] Speaker B: Good answer. Good answer. Yeah. [01:04:36] Speaker A: Random numbers. Here's a random. Random number. Five. [01:04:39] Speaker C: That's great. [01:04:40] Speaker A: That's crazy. Out of all the numbers, both of our random numbers were the same. [01:04:44] Speaker B: Whoa, whoa. I also got five. Whoa. [01:04:47] Speaker C: That's crazy. [01:04:48] Speaker A: Somebody's got to run the numbers on that. [01:04:49] Speaker C: That's. I think the numbers are five, Steve. I ran them. [01:04:52] Speaker B: The numbers. [01:04:55] Speaker A: Well, you better catch them. All right, well, thank you, everybody, for tuning into this week's episode of the League Rundown again. Had to wrap it up relatively quick, but. But just know as you depart to whatever has you have left for the rest of your day, that we here at the League Rundown love you and we'll see you next time. Bye bye. [01:05:13] Speaker B: Goodbye, everyone. [01:05:16] Speaker A: Oh, yes, Daddy.
