[00:00:12] Speaker A: Gets hit. Kimmy kids a little too far here. He's gonna have to try and get himself out. [00:00:15] Speaker B: Let me go. [00:00:16] Speaker A: Tillery and the rest of the shots of fire. Zion is just killing the next Zion can eat it single handedly win the [00:00:22] Speaker C: game by game by game by game by [00:00:26] Speaker B: should be. Oh my God. Stupid. [00:00:29] Speaker A: Passes through and manages to the table with Messiah tanking it up. [00:00:34] Speaker B: I do not believe he just believe. [00:00:42] Speaker D: I cannot understand this game. [00:00:46] Speaker B: Unicorns of Love. It wasn't a mutant. The Nexus. [00:01:07] Speaker C: Hello and welcome to the league rundown episode 600. Running it down for 600 episodes. I'm your host, Sean Jigglyduff Duffy and I'm joined today by four esteemed co hosts. We have, you know, I don't know, a good intro for you anymore. But the new host, as of last time I checked, he's the brand new host. We've got Steve Kangas host. [00:01:36] Speaker A: Tangentially host adjacent, I think is myself host elect. [00:01:43] Speaker D: Interim. Interim for two years. [00:01:48] Speaker A: That's true. [00:01:48] Speaker C: You were just keeping the seat warm until I could finally come back for a single episode. And I'll see you guys in another 100 episodes. It's like, you know the old like anime trope. I show up, do sex machina, disappear. I don't think, don't come back. [00:02:05] Speaker A: I feel like it's called that. I think it's deus ex. [00:02:10] Speaker C: Are you live back then when they made that up? Because I wasn't. I may have been. [00:02:15] Speaker B: You may have been. [00:02:17] Speaker A: I would go with the rudes. [00:02:18] Speaker D: God. Script's going well. Can't wait for playoffs, honestly. [00:02:21] Speaker C: There we go. Should I introduce the rest of the crew? [00:02:26] Speaker A: Yeah, you know what? I want to put you on the spot. We got time to kill. It's not like we're all in a rush with hard outs that we. [00:02:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, that's true. We'll do it real quick, fresh out of the can. It's. Of course. Quit badgering me. [00:02:37] Speaker D: I. You know, I have not been called the full quit badgering me in years at this point. [00:02:43] Speaker C: Yeah, almost 100 episodes. [00:02:45] Speaker D: So weird. Oh my gosh. [00:02:49] Speaker C: And he's always in a pickle. And even on the LCS broadcast, he. [00:02:53] Speaker E: It's Pickle Pickle. I for one, welcome the return of our omnipotent but benevolent ruler. [00:03:00] Speaker C: That's true. I no longer. [00:03:01] Speaker A: Oh, that's a problem. [00:03:02] Speaker C: I did have that role in this discord for a long time. I do think it's now the host, Alex, and of course my best friend, who I've known for now Decades. We've got Yani, [00:03:16] Speaker B: That was so good. I was wondering. [00:03:19] Speaker A: Yeah, all right. [00:03:20] Speaker B: What's the. [00:03:20] Speaker E: I mean, your childhood best friend down here. [00:03:24] Speaker B: That one is just too good. [00:03:26] Speaker C: We know so much about each other. [00:03:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:28] Speaker A: Duffy put Yanni in my life to bring on the pod after he had left. [00:03:33] Speaker B: This is true. [00:03:34] Speaker C: Yanni on the count of three has [00:03:36] Speaker B: ever been new kangas. [00:03:38] Speaker C: Janny, on the count of three, we're gonna say the high school that we both went to together. [00:03:42] Speaker D: Ready? [00:03:43] Speaker C: One, two, three. [00:03:45] Speaker B: High school University. [00:03:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. Yep, that was it. Exactly. See, now you guys know. [00:03:50] Speaker A: Yes. High school University. You can get your diploma there at HTTP www. [00:03:57] Speaker B: Yeah, it was an online high school. [00:03:59] Speaker A: High school. [00:04:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:00] Speaker A: If you Google high school, that one comes up actually. [00:04:03] Speaker E: High school. Edu. Enroll now. [00:04:07] Speaker A: There we go. There we go. All right, you know what? We took a little longer on the intro, the normal, but I think it's worth it. First off, it's episode 600, a big deal. Also, Duffy, thank you for back on. We've missed you. Sincerely. I know that you're still like, I somehow 100 episodes later, a figurehead in this community, and you've done so much to build this community. So thank you for everything you've done, everything you still do, and happy to [00:04:30] Speaker D: have you back for. [00:04:31] Speaker A: For a big. A big moment on the pod. [00:04:33] Speaker C: I'm very excited to be back, so thanks for having me. I'm excited to just add jokes for 90% of what is talked about because I. The reason I quit or the reason I stepped down, the reason I was deposed, Whatever you want to say. [00:04:47] Speaker A: I prefer abandoned. [00:04:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:04:49] Speaker C: Okay. The reason I abandoned my children here is because I just didn't have time anymore. And that is completely true. I don't have any time to follow everything, but I did watch enough of firsthand. At least comment on G2 doing what they do every couple years. [00:05:04] Speaker B: True, true. [00:05:06] Speaker A: Also, it has nothing to do with CLG leaving the league, I'm sure. [00:05:10] Speaker C: Yeah. You know, it's not like they were my horror crux. Keeping me alive. [00:05:15] Speaker A: Oh, God, what a visual there. Yeah. Let's talk about some variety topics around [00:05:24] Speaker B: the world to kick things off. [00:05:27] Speaker D: Got your nose. [00:05:29] Speaker A: Variety topics. Some cool things happened during first stand. This news actually broke early. I believe it was during. Like it was at the very tail end of it. There is a new seed, an additional seed being added to Worlds specifically for cb. Lol. Praise be cb. Lol. Even though the merger happened and then unhappened with lta, and then they kicked her ass at the Americas cup and everybody was memeing us saying like how the hell does LCS have three seeds and C Below only has one? Well, Riot agrees and they are benevolently giving one to cb. Lol. What's really funny, did anybody see the Chris Greeley interview about this? [00:06:10] Speaker E: I did not know about the fact that this has been in the plan since January. [00:06:15] Speaker A: Yes, that one. Thank you Bickle for proving that some of us do our homework. [00:06:19] Speaker D: Actually, I didn't realize there was. [00:06:21] Speaker C: I thought he said it in Portuguese. I was so ready for that to be the answer. [00:06:27] Speaker A: But yes, as Bickle alluded, apparently it's been in the plans for a while and was not a reactionary decision based on what happened at first stand and community feedback from what was happening with like America's Cup. So I mean take it or leave it. Like that kind of makes sense because that would be kind of a really last second decision if it was reactionary. It does feel like something that probably was in conversations for longer, but then it's like, well why wasn't that just like part of the world's primer to begin with when they at the beginning of the year kind of like gave us the world's primer of what that would look like? So I was confused. Bickle, did you have any other thoughts from the article or from the interview itself? [00:07:10] Speaker E: No, it's just great things all around for Brazil and what's also neat is they mentioned it's brief in passing so it might have missed it. But Brazil also gets to skip play ins at msi. It's only going to be all the two seeds, so there will be four two seeds in play ins for MSI and all of the one seeds including Brazil will be auto qualified to the bracket stage. [00:07:33] Speaker B: Very nice. [00:07:34] Speaker A: That is pretty cool. [00:07:35] Speaker C: That is very huge, very big news [00:07:37] Speaker A: for Brazil because they almost never make it into the main stage. They pretty much always get knocked out sans what worlds. 2024 I think was the only time that they made it into like a main stage from the plans and they, they beat under thieves on the on the way there to. [00:07:56] Speaker E: I thought that was last year, wasn't it? 25. [00:08:02] Speaker A: No, I'm pretty sure. Nope, you're right because I know. [00:08:04] Speaker E: Yep, 25 was a dope close run on 100 Thieves. 24 was the. Yeah, 24 was pain. You're right. [00:08:10] Speaker A: Hey, we've been doing this for 16 years. It blurs together. But yeah, it's big news for them as a region for being able to actually be part of the main stage. Because it rarely ever happens. Also big news for NA baby. We're not gonna be the worst region. [00:08:30] Speaker C: I want to agree with you, but I did watch enough of First Stand to have questions about that. [00:08:36] Speaker E: Well, you'd have a lot of questions if you watched the Americas cup and that's the concern. [00:08:41] Speaker C: I did unfortunately watch a little bit. [00:08:43] Speaker A: Their third seed beat the crap out of our second and third seeds. Yeah. Yeah. [00:08:50] Speaker B: Any. [00:08:50] Speaker A: Any Brazil fans in. In this chat though I know that would usually RMC would be here to talk more about like the. The Brazil side but wasn't able to join us tonight. But is anybody going to be like rooting for Brazil at MSI now? No. [00:09:05] Speaker B: I mean, I mean no offense to them but you know we're. I'm still rooting for the lpl. [00:09:11] Speaker C: I think it's fair to root for them against every other region except for the one you want to do. [00:09:17] Speaker D: Well true. [00:09:18] Speaker C: Because nothing evens the playing field more than the LPL also beating other regions and not just the lcs. [00:09:26] Speaker E: You know, I think I'm really going to be rooting for this under dog region they just had. I don't know. Third place is really tough. So hopefully the LCK can put up a good showing at msi. [00:09:37] Speaker A: I. I've been told that they might be on the come up throughout the [00:09:40] Speaker E: rest of the year. Yeah, they've got this supposedly very high potential team in generational gamers. [00:09:49] Speaker C: I've. [00:09:50] Speaker E: I've heard some good things about them. They didn't really show up at this tournament but I've got some hope for them. [00:09:57] Speaker B: Gen C actually. Generational chokers. [00:10:00] Speaker D: Oh my gosh. [00:10:02] Speaker E: Oh you're not. [00:10:03] Speaker A: Well we'll talk about that very shortly as I'm sure no one listening has managed to avoid the spoilers. It did not go well for the LCG at first hand. One other cool bit of news before we talk about that though is that world's plans because of the additional seed for cb. Lol. It was referenced that there was logistical and issues with then still maintaining the schedule as it was in near Dallas, Texas. Technically it's Allen, Texas that where the rest of the worlds will take place outside of finals in New York. Now there's going to be a third location in Los Angeles at the Riot Games Arena. So where you watch LCS play ins will now be happening there. I think logistically makes a lot of sense. Riot already has all the equipment there, everything's ready to go. Um, it's somewhat. This is still a stretch but somewhat plug and play to just get the teams there and then playing the play ins games on stage. [00:10:55] Speaker E: So and we have, we have all the days now for when this is all occurring. Worlds begins October 15th through the 18th, as you mentioned in LA for the play INS Swiss Stage will be October 23rd through the 26th and 28th through the 31st in Allen, Texas, along with Knockouts which will be November 3rd through the 8th and then Grand Finals which November 14th in the Barclays center in New York, which hopefully I'll be able to go to. [00:11:20] Speaker A: Same same. [00:11:22] Speaker B: Book your plane tickets now. [00:11:24] Speaker D: Yeah, everybody go to Swiss Stage. [00:11:27] Speaker B: I'm also trying to go to Swiss Stage as well. I mean like I live in New Jersey, so Barclays center not difficult to get to. [00:11:32] Speaker E: But the Swiss Stage is Texas. [00:11:35] Speaker B: Yeah, that I want to go to. [00:11:37] Speaker D: Yeah, I would go to Texas when [00:11:39] Speaker B: I went to MSI last year. Like being able to just take a week of just consuming League of Legends, like every day was like so awesome. And would love to do it again this year. [00:11:51] Speaker A: That was awesome. Getting to interact with everybody last year in Vancouver as well. That is, I think the one kind of negative that I have is like they, they we are doing it in LA as the third location as opposed to Canada or Mexico, which like, technically, you know, North America as a host region. Typically like those countries would be considered as host countries as well. But this is just the cheapest option. So I'll take what I can get. But yeah, if anybody is looking to make the trip, especially to Los Angeles because I talent assignments haven't gone out, obviously it's. That's very far away. I don't know if I'll be working any of worlds, but if I am, the highest likelihood is that it would just be in LA because I'm local. They won't have to like buy a plane ticket or anything like that. So if you want to come see any worlds, good chance that I'll at least be there whether I'm working or not. So come say hi, get your tickets now. With that said, it's time to hop in to First Stand News. Before that, just a reminder and a shout out to everybody who helps support the pod by donating through the Patreon or by purchasing things through the merch shop. Gentlemen, it's time to talk about it. We had a lot of best of fives. In fact, we had only best of fives. The first international tournament that I can remember ever to do only best of fives. Did first and last year do only best of fives. I think that there were some best of threes in there. Right. [00:13:29] Speaker E: First stand had best of threes last year, I believe to start. [00:13:34] Speaker A: Okay. Because notoriously I love to make statements that this is the first time ever for something to happen and then be immediately proven wrong. So I'm just going to hold true. I'm just going to hold confidence. [00:13:43] Speaker C: Oh, so glad nothing's changed. Yeah. [00:13:45] Speaker E: Best of threes were best of threes were last year for first stand. [00:13:49] Speaker A: See, just make statements. Make wild statements that you cannot back up and just be right about them. [00:13:54] Speaker C: Whatever sticks against the wall. And then if it doesn't, you just move on real quick. [00:13:57] Speaker E: It's the duty of the host to burst your bubble. I'm fairly certain all of MSI last year was best of fives. [00:14:04] Speaker A: Shut up. Nobody cares. [00:14:06] Speaker D: I was going to say I'm fake [00:14:08] Speaker B: tournament, but do they have as many three? [00:14:13] Speaker E: That's a good question. The answer is probably one. [00:14:16] Speaker B: Two because we had nine at firsthand. [00:14:20] Speaker A: Four. [00:14:21] Speaker D: We had four three zeros last year at Ms. A lot of the first [00:14:25] Speaker A: tournament to have nine three zero s. All the best defines. [00:14:29] Speaker D: Don't know if that's a good thing. I'm gonna be honest. [00:14:35] Speaker B: Did it not make you appreciate the three ones and the three twos a little bit more? [00:14:40] Speaker A: Exactly. Yeah. I think that that's the takeaway is that we were worried it was going to be a very one sided tournament. And it was and it did. [00:14:46] Speaker E: It was. [00:14:48] Speaker B: It was just not the ways that we expected. [00:14:51] Speaker D: Yeah, it really wasn't the ways that we expected it to be. But. [00:14:56] Speaker A: Okay. Everyone seems to agree and disagree with me. Bickle, I'm gonna give you the microphone first here. Why do you think it still was a very one sided tournament? [00:15:04] Speaker E: There were nine three ohs. [00:15:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:08] Speaker A: But we had a different regions getting wins against other regions. We had still competitive games in those three O's and then the three ones and three twos were like very, very competitive series. So that's where it's like I. I don't skew that. It was a really one sided tournament. Especially not like when I think one side of turn. I'm like oh, Korea Swept or oh, LPL swept. I didn't see that at all. [00:15:31] Speaker E: Almost 70% of the series were three O's. [00:15:36] Speaker A: Sure, sure. [00:15:37] Speaker D: Technically, LPL came out looking strong from [00:15:39] Speaker E: LPL swept [00:15:44] Speaker D: because it was BLG. It was the war in semis and then BLG3.1 in the finals. And it should have been a 3.0, but they woke up late showing up to the arena. I don't know where they were for BLG. [00:15:56] Speaker E: Dropped 3 games total. [00:15:58] Speaker C: So as an old man who's been around the block for a little bit, I think by the very nature of this tournament having so many teams in it, you're gonna end up with a big chunk of 3 0s. [00:16:13] Speaker E: Oh, absolutely. [00:16:14] Speaker C: Half these teams don't really belong in a best of five scenario with Gen G or with G2 even. And so it's totally normal for TSW to get 3.0'd it's totally normal for a second or third seed from Korea or China to struggle if they're just thrown into best of scenarios against the number one seeds from LCK and LPL, et cetera. And I guess G2 put loud in [00:16:42] Speaker A: that bracket, even lion in that bracket. [00:16:44] Speaker C: Yeah, you're gonna end up with it. It's just lopsided because it's a much larger pool than they typically are. Right. Like, MSI for years was first seed, first seed, and that's it. That's all you get. And that created a little bit different environment than this where you're getting a little bit more thrown in. And some of these teams clearly just weren't ready. It's a weird tournament still. This is the second year they've done first stand. Am I right? [00:17:09] Speaker E: Correct. [00:17:09] Speaker A: This is the second year. [00:17:10] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:17:10] Speaker A: This year it was only. It was like old msis, where there was only one. [00:17:13] Speaker E: It was just the one seeds from the five regions. [00:17:15] Speaker C: And it's March. You know, half of these regions, like I'm staring at LCS played a handful of games and then just got thrown into an international competition. You know, it's like, this is. I wouldn't call. This is, like, terrible. I wouldn't say this was some huge lopsided thing. I would say, wow, we're figuring out, like, who adapted quickly and who is going to need more time to cook before MSI begins or before Worlds. Yeah, you could throw away some of these series for sure. But if you're tsw, you go into the rest of your season at home going, okay, shoot. We, like, we got a lot to work on. And if you're bfx, you're thinking the same thing. But you're in like a much better category than before. [00:17:59] Speaker A: And I think another reason is just because teams that got three zeroed also three o'd other teams. So when I think of like a one sided tournament, I don't think of it as oh yeah, there was a clear, like these teams were good. These teams were shit. It's like jdg got 3 0ed by gen g3 owed loud 31 lion then got 3 od by blg. So does that mean that jdg's tournament was one sided? It's like. No. I think that it was. There were a lot of one sided series. I don't think that the tournament was one sided overall. But let's talk about some of the bigger narratives. [00:18:30] Speaker D: I think, I think. I think this tournament was a good litmus test of where each region is with their metas at this point. [00:18:36] Speaker E: This was an entertaining tournament. [00:18:39] Speaker D: 100 yeah it was good. Like it was a good tournament. Like don't get me wrong, like I'm not disparaging like the quality of the tournament. It just felt like there was clear like tears that came out of it. And I mean G2 big winner. Gen G big, big loser in this situation. [00:18:56] Speaker A: Tweeted out at quit badger me hates LCK and first dance. So you can't, you can't backtrack anymore [00:19:02] Speaker E: BFX so that nobody acknowledges the fact they didn't make it out of groups. [00:19:09] Speaker D: Yeah, it's all lining up. This is, this is how Genji performs at Worlds. So when it actually comes to Worlds time it'll be like Genji in summer. You know, they're. They're getting ahead of the the curve. They're getting the choking narrative out early so that they can rise like rise from the ashes like a fun plus Phoenix and you know, win Worlds. [00:19:30] Speaker A: Well, let's talk about that to start off then because Gen G is I think the big narrative overall when you look at expectations versus reality. I think like G2, BLG, Genji all have strong narratives from this tournament but Gen G is the surprise because it's like they 3.0JDG. Oh my God. They crushed him. 300 lion that was yeah pretty, pretty dominant as well. What the hell happened between the. The group match and then their semifinals match versus G2 where they get three owed by Europe's number one seed that like kind of had a resurgence. They were barely in playoffs in LEC to begin with. Like they almost got knocked out by Los Ratons. [00:20:15] Speaker E: The right. [00:20:16] Speaker A: The rats. [00:20:17] Speaker B: I'll tell you what happened? I'll tell you what happened. I don't know if you saw, but people were, you know, one of the biggest questions that a lot of interviewers had to the players was, oh, you know, have you enjoyed the food in Brazil? And I remember, I can't remember who on Gen G, but they were like, we've been going to McDonald's every day because they, for whatever reason, the food doesn't just, like, work for them. Right. The Korean stomach cannot comprehend picanha. Right. So that's what happens. That's why we saw BFX and Gen G just get washed out. [00:20:50] Speaker A: You know what? That actually makes a lot of sense. [00:20:52] Speaker D: I think the big thing, in my humble opinion, as someone who. Who said Gen G was going to Golden Road this year, I must have been in a higher stupor at that point. When it happened, they just drafted and played, like, against G2, and G2 took advantage of it because Labrov and Schema and were were running the map. [00:21:16] Speaker B: Those guys. [00:21:17] Speaker E: Cannot believe I'm going to say this, but Han Selma and Labrov absolutely gapped the hell out of Ruler Enduro. [00:21:24] Speaker A: Yeah, right. [00:21:25] Speaker D: Things that I never thought I would [00:21:27] Speaker A: be saying, dude, they Skewmont, Gab Canyon. Like, what the fuck? [00:21:31] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:21:32] Speaker E: I think Skewmond is the biggest individual winner of this tournament. [00:21:38] Speaker B: No doubt about it. [00:21:39] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:21:40] Speaker A: Caps we know can compete against Eastern players. We know Hansama has been able to in the past. He was on that roster on the misfits that, like, pushed SKT to five games in that legendary quarterfinals match. We did not know this about Skeweman and Labrov all of last year and all of this year, even. It's been like this kind of question mark of, ooh, are they going to improve? Are they going to get to the G2 level? They're these more developmental players that G2 is committed to and investing in and is. Man, it's paying off in spades right now. This is actually a really satisfying story to watch unfold in front of our eyes and is a great, you know, testament to committing to players that you see potential in and not just dropping them after a split or two. Like, if Lebrov was playing in North America, he would have lasted two split stops. I don't think he would have gotten another opportunity. [00:22:29] Speaker C: So since you mentioned North America, I think it's fair for us to toot our own horn here and say we don't see Labrov James without KC Busio. [00:22:41] Speaker B: That's true. [00:22:42] Speaker C: You know. [00:22:43] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:22:43] Speaker C: Without the push that came from an NA player coming into the region and really looking like the best in his role. I don't know if Labrov elevates quite as much as he did because this was not the support I'm used to watching this. These last two series, even arguably the finals. This was not a Labrov I think I had ever really seen before. [00:23:06] Speaker B: Check him PC. [00:23:08] Speaker C: Check him PC. [00:23:09] Speaker A: Maybe it was Busio playing the whole time. [00:23:10] Speaker E: I mean, you're talking about the NA talent. You gotta give shout outs to the pure, unadulterated NA talent that are Broken Blade and Hansama. [00:23:21] Speaker B: We claim them. We claim them when things go well. [00:23:24] Speaker A: When things go well. Yeah. G2 just hit another level here in this tournament. It was a pleasure to to watch. After getting 3oD by BLG, it was like, okay, yeah, they're probably gonna peter out. But not only did they 3.0gen G, they 3.0BFX on the way out of the group stages too. So they did not drop a game to LCK's first and second seed. And again, it was similar story with the BFX match where it's like SKU Mond having, you know, a generational run in the jungle. Broken Blade solid in the top lane. And then Hansama Labrov crushing bot lanes too. [00:23:59] Speaker B: Yeah, this is perfect Cell stuff right there. [00:24:03] Speaker E: G2 was looking insane. They were on a 60 run of just three owing both Korean teams. And it really seemed like only a brick wall could stop them. Unfortunately, that brick wall's name was Ben. Yeah. [00:24:18] Speaker A: Narrative here is first off, the rivalry between G2 and BLG, always a pleasure to watch unfold. But BLG finally ending the drought. That was LPL titles. I believe this is another time. This one I did look up somewhat. I think the last time LPL won a title was MSI 2023. [00:24:36] Speaker B: You are correct. [00:24:38] Speaker E: That would be JDG going for the golden road when they won MSI but then lost at Worlds. [00:24:42] Speaker A: Yep, this is pretty first stand. [00:24:44] Speaker B: We're so bad. [00:24:46] Speaker E: Yep. Because then it was Gen GMSI T1 worlds. Gen GMSI T1 worlds. And the Hanma Life first stand. That's in there. [00:24:59] Speaker A: Yep. Yeah. So shout out to LPL for ending the drought. Yanni, how big was this for you and the team that does LPL unofficial to actually see an LPL team take a title finally. [00:25:09] Speaker B: Dude, this was so massive, man. I was. I was driving on my way to the Summoner skirmish that I was going to while the games are going on. And then once the series was over, you know, like the. The discord was. Was popping Everybody's like super amped up about it. You know, we can. We can feel good to say once again that the LPL is the best region in the world. For now. [00:25:31] Speaker E: Hell yeah. [00:25:32] Speaker B: You know, obviously for now, you know, we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens at MSI. But for the entirety of split 2 LPL, the top dogs BLG absolutely deserved it. This is a team that after their, you know, amazing 2024 that came up just short, they were just off all year last year. At times they would look good and many times they did not. They faltered awful at Worlds and. And then they just. They brought back Shun. And that's the difference. He's the glue guy. He brings everybody together. And the team was it that they had. They what, four different three junglers last year. [00:26:14] Speaker E: They had base one, they had way, and then they had shadow. [00:26:21] Speaker A: Wow. Yeah. Bring back Shun Profit, I guess. [00:26:26] Speaker B: Boom. [00:26:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:26:28] Speaker C: And. [00:26:28] Speaker A: And so Shun. Shun was a pleasure to watch. But you're right, Bickle, I think you hit on the nose. This was the bin show. Ben. I. It was my standout player. I think on also had a great performance overall. [00:26:39] Speaker E: But support Shen, support Camille, support Aniv. He's terrorizing solo queue. [00:26:47] Speaker A: And they're flex picks because Knight can play Anivia, Ben can play Camille, which they did against G2 to play Camille into Cassante. Yeah. Yeah, it's. It was fun to watch. Ben had an interview afterwards where he's like, am I the best top laner to play the game? And I'm like, honestly, maybe. I don't know. Who would we say is in the competition if we're saying all time best top laners ever in League of Legends? I want to hear from multiple people here. Duffy, you know what? This is a historical question, actually. We can get an answer from Duffy on this one. Duffy, who do you think would be in your conversation for all time best top laner ever? [00:27:26] Speaker C: So I think we have to set the. The. How are we deciding this? We decided peak longevity. A mix of the two, I'd say [00:27:35] Speaker A: personally peak at their peak performance. [00:27:37] Speaker B: Ooh. [00:27:40] Speaker C: I'm going to go with the most controversial option I possibly can. [00:27:43] Speaker D: Do it. I know what you're going to do it. [00:27:45] Speaker C: Do it, Marin. [00:27:46] Speaker D: Yep. [00:27:47] Speaker E: Yep. [00:27:48] Speaker A: Oh, I thought you say balls. [00:27:51] Speaker C: No, actually. Actually, what I was going to say was hotshot gg. He kicked my brother into ass. [00:27:56] Speaker A: There we go. Marin. Okay, okay, fair enough. I think another world champ. I like that. [00:28:03] Speaker E: I think it very much is depending on if you're talking longevity, peak or both? [00:28:08] Speaker A: Yes. [00:28:09] Speaker E: If you're going peak, my answer is the shy. [00:28:13] Speaker B: That's a good answer. And I think that was gonna be my answer. I've got a different. [00:28:17] Speaker C: I think that's the most obvious answer in terms of like, this guy's peak was such a weird, wacky difference from everyone around him that it's easy to look at. And he had such valleys afterwards. [00:28:30] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:28:30] Speaker C: You'd say, wow, he really did. [00:28:32] Speaker E: That's why it's peaks. If you want longevity, it's a different story, but peaks, no one peaks like the shy. [00:28:40] Speaker A: I feel like I might say this guy also, but I think Ben, he's. It's the same type of echoes of the shy in terms of how he's able to win games and how he's able to carry through the top lane in a meta. We're carrying through the top lane is not. Not common. Like, coming out of laning phase with a lead doesn't mean much unless you're Ben. If you're Ben Jacks and you've gotten a solo kill on Broken Blade and you're able to just dive a back line and Zhonyas and like, survive until your second rotation cooldowns and kill three people, it's like, yeah, that's pretty impactful to win a game. [00:29:09] Speaker E: I think Kerry Tubbs will stone start to become a bit more prominent. I think with two years of lane swaps, it just pushed people into these tank. Top utility, top survive, weak side, do your best. And Ben's like, what if I just picked a carry, murdered the top laner and carried the game? [00:29:28] Speaker A: Yeah, it works. 100%. It works. It got them a title. So, yeah, big moment for blg. Big moment for lpl. This was also. Yanni, correct me if I'm Wrong, this was BLG's first international title. [00:29:39] Speaker E: Right. [00:29:39] Speaker A: Because they got to like the finals multiple times, but they were never able to actually win because JDG was always in their way. [00:29:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Which is like the biggest surprise when. When you look at it, it's like, oh, this is a team that, you know, you would expect to have, you know, oh, look at all these international titles. They have all one of them, you know, but, you know, they got it. [00:29:59] Speaker A: They finally got more. [00:30:01] Speaker B: Yeah. It just has been so, so good for so long. Listen, they got a lot of second places, you know, they got the second place medals. They got plenty of MSI 23, 24, obviously, Worlds. You know, a top four finish at Worlds in 2023 as well. Like this is a team that's been been quite good for. For quite a long time. [00:30:21] Speaker A: Yeah. So finally getting their flowers. Awesome to see one region we haven't talked about yet. I think it's probably time we address it real quick. [00:30:30] Speaker B: I want to go give give my top laner real quick. [00:30:33] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah yeah. [00:30:34] Speaker D: We never got yours because I didn't mind either. [00:30:36] Speaker B: Okay. [00:30:36] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. [00:30:38] Speaker B: This might be a controversial one. The shower was already said. I think that was gonna be my pick. But I was like waffling. We need to talk about how maybe peak individual top lane should be Flame because the Flame horizon is literally named after. You know. [00:30:53] Speaker A: That's a fair point. And he was playing in a competitive [00:30:55] Speaker B: region the entire so damn good as a lane. [00:31:02] Speaker E: He was up there in my consideration. [00:31:05] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:31:07] Speaker D: Fine. I'll just be. I'll just be contrarian and say Zayus. [00:31:11] Speaker B: People have missed the obvious because that [00:31:14] Speaker D: means we're both either Zayzer Bin with like Flame and Marin as like the old school answers like people. How. [00:31:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:21] Speaker D: How your favorite ad carries. Ad carry is Wei Xiao. [00:31:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:31:25] Speaker D: Or your your favorite ad carries favorite ad carry is Wei Xiao. Your favorite top laners favorite top laner is either Flame or Marin. Like. [00:31:34] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:31:35] Speaker A: I think in no particular order you can go like the Shy Bin Flame, Mar and Rich. I think those five rich equals. [00:31:45] Speaker B: Hang on. [00:31:45] Speaker A: Equal like on. [00:31:48] Speaker B: Huh? What was that last one? [00:31:50] Speaker D: Oh y. You weren't huge. [00:31:53] Speaker E: All right. [00:31:53] Speaker D: Can I. Let me. Let me take 10 seconds. [00:31:55] Speaker C: I didn't hear. [00:31:56] Speaker D: Was the greatest Heroes of the Storm player that ever played the game and then he came over to league. So when he came over we called it the trickle down mechanics. I figured that's something Learning how to play league. [00:32:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:08] Speaker A: He trickled down Hearthstone or Heroes of the Story mechanics into League of Legends. [00:32:13] Speaker B: They trickled all the way down the the standings in NA and all the [00:32:16] Speaker A: way down all the way to. [00:32:19] Speaker E: He played lck. He played na. He played lpl. [00:32:24] Speaker A: He just needed. [00:32:26] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:32:28] Speaker A: I don't know. Economics. Okay. Well the topic conversation aside, one other thing we would be remiss if we did not talk about it was LCS's performance and how lion looked. We haven't talked about the boys in yellow or the boys in gold as it's technically gold. Yeah. That's about what I expected. [00:32:48] Speaker D: They 32 loud. [00:32:50] Speaker A: We. [00:32:51] Speaker D: We're so fucking back. [00:32:52] Speaker A: Wait. We ended the Brazil loss streak because we had a eight game lost streak to Brazil. Nine game law streak to Brazil. I'm trying to remember exactly how many was we lost it for America's cup quite a lot to Brazil. So this was, you know, revenge. I am sad it went to five games though. Oh my God. The competition between Brazil and North America is actually really freaking close. [00:33:18] Speaker B: Two monkeys fighting on a boat. [00:33:21] Speaker D: It's the Simpsons meme with the monkeys and yeah, fight. [00:33:25] Speaker A: Are we hitting the panic button right now? [00:33:28] Speaker D: Oh yeah. [00:33:29] Speaker B: Slamming this panic button. [00:33:32] Speaker D: So might actually be like the fifth best region in the world. [00:33:35] Speaker A: Okay, here's, here's the concept. Duffy, I'll let you go right after this. Here's a concept. What if instead of being rivals, we combined the regions together and we made the cb LOL and lcs. One thing. [00:33:48] Speaker E: Some like of the Americas or something. [00:33:51] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:33:52] Speaker B: How do we abbreviate that? [00:33:54] Speaker A: L LCA League Championship of the Americas. You know lca? [00:34:00] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:34:00] Speaker E: No, I, I think you're missing a zine there. [00:34:03] Speaker B: Okay. [00:34:04] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, we can't do League Americas because That's Los Angeles. LA's can be confusing. [00:34:10] Speaker E: L O T A lotta. [00:34:13] Speaker A: I like lotta. [00:34:14] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:34:15] Speaker B: That's a little bit too close to Dota. [00:34:19] Speaker C: Guys, I think you need to put together a pitch deck so that I, the five billion dollar worth CEO can decide that this is the right way to go. [00:34:27] Speaker A: I like that, I like that, I like that. We'll put together a pitch. Duffy, what were you gonna say earlier though, before I rudely cut you off? [00:34:33] Speaker C: I think the same thoughts that I had earlier about this being a very early check in does bear true for Lyon. This was a team that isn't even composed of the players it thought it would have at the beginning of the year. And even though I think Dokla is a great pick for this team and was personally not having the best of times against Keane and Gen Garage, it was also really clear from watching any of the like internal content videos where they showed like the communications happening that they're not cohesive. They're really just like not there yet. But I expect this is a team that will eventually get there and when they are, when they just become basically, you know, inspired in the boys, I don't think they have trouble again with lion in the future. I don't think they beat Gen G, but I don't think we have to look at another full five game series against the Brazilian number one seed come Worlds. [00:35:33] Speaker A: Okay, you know what, I think that's a pretty logical. [00:35:36] Speaker B: Wow, look at this level headed take to whoever. [00:35:39] Speaker A: All you have to do is leave [00:35:41] Speaker C: the scene for a couple of years and things look, okay, again. [00:35:47] Speaker A: Yep, that sounds about right. I will say I think that the series versus JDG revived some of my faith because all four of those games we won a game and the three games we lost, we were in winning positions at least at different parts. In those games, did the wheels fall off quickly? In some, yes. Did they fall off slowly? In some, yes. Did we lose the series? Yes. But the fact that we were able to get to positions where we actually had leads I think is like that's step number one. And at least if we can do that against jdg, that gives me some hope that this team can, you know, improve and do something. [00:36:27] Speaker B: I don't know if you should have that much hope. [00:36:30] Speaker A: Yeah, I choose delusion. [00:36:33] Speaker B: So watching a lot of. Watched. Listen, I watched a lot of JDG and that that's how many JDG games felt like they were gonna go. Is that. Oh, JDG is somehow losing because they didn't smash the early game with their bot lane. Oh, look at that. JDG won the game in the mid game. Like I'd like to point out how this team was domestically split one regular season, 5 and 5, 13 and 13 in games. Here's their bracket stage. 32 win over Top Esports and Star Jungler Nio. [00:37:05] Speaker E: Oh no. [00:37:06] Speaker B: 3232 over Al. You know, difficult team to beat. 32 loss to J to BLG. A 30 win versus Weibo Gaming which was probably the most convincing series they've had and then losing to BLG 31 in the. In the grand finals. I mean this is a. This is a team that, you know, was kinda kind of like average in games overall. Even if they were like when it counted the better team. Sure. [00:37:36] Speaker A: But it's an LPL team and we almost won another. [00:37:41] Speaker B: True. [00:37:42] Speaker D: So I will. [00:37:43] Speaker A: I'm gonna take that to the bank. [00:37:44] Speaker E: I'll give props to Lion. They managed to win game number two with. With not having a gold lead thanks to the fact that JDG decided Jin is a great champion. [00:37:57] Speaker B: Yeah, that team cop was doo doo buns. I don't really know how to say it otherwise. That team comps, bro. [00:38:05] Speaker C: Is it buns made of doo doo? [00:38:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:08] Speaker A: I want to get into the lore of these buns. [00:38:10] Speaker B: I don't know if you want. [00:38:11] Speaker E: Also in regards to lion in there, whoever decided to pick Doka Relia against Keen. [00:38:18] Speaker C: Maybe not that. [00:38:18] Speaker E: Yeah, I just give you a round of applause for thinking it might work. [00:38:22] Speaker B: What are we smoking, bro? [00:38:23] Speaker C: Like I. I love just full sending that though. Like screw it. You're not winning straight up. [00:38:30] Speaker E: That's what that's like it we go at that point. [00:38:35] Speaker A: Yeah, it is like we're not going to win by conventional ways. I was more surprised that we kept locking in Aurora for Dokla, notably an Aurora hater. As far back as like or as recently as beginning of this past year where he was saying he doesn't think Aurora Top is a real champion. Who knows? Maybe that's trying to get in the heads of his opponents. But yeah, he played that against Genji and also jdg. [00:38:58] Speaker B: Certainly it looked like he hated it. [00:39:00] Speaker A: Oh, I think so. Yeah, I think so. But those were the big storylines. From first stand. We had G2 on a fantastic run getting second place and picking up a game versus BLG in the finals. We had BLG ending their LPL drought, getting another title for the region and finally getting a title internationally for BLG themselves. The downfall of LCK maybe bronze tier region. We'll see if they bounce back for msi. I think they will. I think it was a tough meta read for this event. That was the big reason for their losses. And then tough breakfast. About where I expected them to be. Cb, LOL and LCP about where I expected them to be. Maybe LCP a little lower. Actually they didn't pick up a game which was a bummer. Yeah, that. That's how things shook out real quick. Before we move on though, to our game show, part of this episode 600 I want to get all of us to give our favorite series from firsthand. If you wanted to recommend anybody, go check one out. What one should they see? I'll go first. I'm putting Lion JDG just because I'm LCS biased. And even though it's heartbreaking to see us lose from those situations, we had reason to believe for a lot of those situations. Let's go top down. Bickle. What series would you recommend people check out? [00:40:15] Speaker E: I think the best series of the tournament was the first series of the tournament. BLG versus bfx. [00:40:21] Speaker A: Fantastic choice. Five games. Yep. Almost reverse sweep. Right? Didn't BLG win the first two? [00:40:27] Speaker E: BLG won game one. BFX win games two and three. BLG took games four and five. [00:40:32] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:40:32] Speaker E: Go also shout out to Diable to Pentakills this tournament. [00:40:36] Speaker A: Yes. [00:40:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:40:37] Speaker B: That guy's good. [00:40:38] Speaker D: That guy is. That guy is pretty good. [00:40:40] Speaker E: Just not Hansama good into it. [00:40:43] Speaker A: Wasn't there. Who. Who was the other player that did it? It was like 2014 or something. Imp. [00:40:49] Speaker D: There we go. That was it. Which is pretty good company to be in. [00:40:52] Speaker B: Yep. [00:40:53] Speaker D: That early in your career to have an achievement that rivals what IMP did. [00:40:58] Speaker C: Yeah. If we were to talk about peaks of players and positions, I think IMP's peak might be the number one of any position ever. [00:41:07] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, Duffy, you're up next. What series would you recommend, folks? Check out. [00:41:13] Speaker C: So, with the caveat that I obviously did not watch many of these series, I'm going to be the one who gets to say this first. The G2 Gen G series, extremely fun to watch. It was a stomp and we love to see it. Game one was awesome, but really fun to see what a team from the west looks like when it's actually playing very, very well. [00:41:34] Speaker A: Yes. 100% Badger. What would you recommend? [00:41:38] Speaker D: BLG BFX. I. I think that series was the peak of first stand and unfortunately started strong. We started so strong and then. And then we kind of went downhill from there. But hey, you know what? Diablo and the group stage looked really good and I. I was. I was singing his praises going into it. So I don't think he disappointed, but [00:41:58] Speaker A: he was fantastic to watch. [00:41:59] Speaker D: Genji did disappoint. So moving on. [00:42:01] Speaker A: Yeah, Yanni, round us out here. What would you recommend? [00:42:04] Speaker B: Yeah, you know, you know, I gotta Recommend this Finals VLG taking a 31 win, baby. Chinese dominance. Zhongbei. How like Schwojong. When boys get ready to be Chinese buddy. [00:42:18] Speaker E: I will say this is classic G2.6 0ing the LCK1 6 to the LPL. [00:42:25] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, they just cannot beat the LPL to save their lives. Crazy damn. [00:42:30] Speaker B: That means that they had six losses and seven wins against the East. [00:42:36] Speaker A: They played. [00:42:36] Speaker E: No, technically, Team Secret Whales is eastern and they played them and three zeroed them. [00:42:41] Speaker B: That doesn't fit my narrative. [00:42:43] Speaker A: True. Technically. Lion. Oh no. They went four and five. I was gonna say I thought they won as many games as they lost. God damn it. Why do we give a lot? Two games. All right. Anyway, moving on. That's first stand. First international tournament of the year wrapped with some of our thoughts and recommendations. This is episode 600. So we also wanted to allot some time here to have some fun and celebrate some history of League of legends. Because 600 episodes is a long amount of time. That is. What year did we start, Duffy? I say we. As if I had anything to do with it. Do you happen to remember what year the podcast started? [00:43:25] Speaker C: I think it was 2012. 2011 or 2012 it would be. [00:43:30] Speaker A: So I just did a quick Google search. According to Google 600 weeks is 11.5 [00:43:36] Speaker C: years according to Google. Figured out how to do 52. [00:43:41] Speaker E: 600 divided by assuming the T Force network was good about uploading on time. I found a YouTube video of the first episode in 2014. [00:43:54] Speaker A: 2014, that checks out. [00:43:56] Speaker E: It's got the wonderful host optimist tomorrow and record. [00:44:02] Speaker D: It's easier. [00:44:03] Speaker B: Just type out words. [00:44:06] Speaker C: I definitely joined in 2014 because I was still in college when I began. [00:44:12] Speaker A: Wow. [00:44:13] Speaker C: I think they've been going for at least a year prior because I was Dracos. Optimus Tom Dracos had left by that point. Optimus Tom was still on. [00:44:23] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:44:24] Speaker C: Mod was obviously still the host. So yeah, it's been over a decade. [00:44:27] Speaker A: Lot of history. Awesome to see. And to celebrate episode 600, Badger put his brain to work to create us a multi year spanning quiz. [00:44:41] Speaker D: Originally, I was going to do 15 questions for 15 years. And then I. And then I was told that people have hard outs, so I took a couple of questions out. So it's. [00:44:49] Speaker A: Oh, it's okay. [00:44:50] Speaker D: 12 questions for 12 years. [00:44:54] Speaker A: You know what? That will make it better for me because I notoriously. [00:44:57] Speaker D: I mean there's like 20. There's still pre 2015 questions or 2016 questions. [00:45:02] Speaker A: Damn it. Okay, well, I'll do my best. All right. [00:45:06] Speaker D: It's gonna go in chronological order from old to new. So you might start off, you know, it's the they had us in the first half, I'm not gonna lie section of the the quiz and then you can go from there. So I'm going to politely ask everybody to either pull up Notepad or Google Docs or whatever it is and make a sheet and label it 1 to 12 for me real fast, please. Okay. If you're at home listening too, you can play along as well and try and get a better score than some of these guys. [00:45:36] Speaker A: I like that. [00:45:37] Speaker C: But if you do that, you are using our content for your own enjoyment and therefore you should at least purchase a mug from the legal industry. [00:45:46] Speaker E: Yes, absolutely. [00:45:47] Speaker D: We'll get a certified. We need to make a certified ball nowhere bug for anybody who scored more than Kangas, which actually is probably going to be a lot of people. [00:45:55] Speaker C: That's the way. We can't do that. [00:45:58] Speaker A: Which, by the way, by the way, I've thought about this. The other day I was like, you know what? We wouldn't. Because again, shout out to the Patreon supporters and people that have made purchases. We had a little extra lump sum at the end of this past year that went towards supporting the LCS duos. Community tournament. And a lot of people. We had like a couple hundred people start watching and listening to the pod. We saw our numbers bump up a significant amount just from. From that community. So we have a new people that will be listening. And I plugged the merch shop. I had this thought. I was like, oh, my God. New people would probably have gone in and just seen my face all over a mouse pad, which I totally forgot [00:46:37] Speaker C: was one of them. [00:46:38] Speaker A: That's how I website. [00:46:41] Speaker D: But yeah, so people. David Shynock, if you're listening at this point, you're going down an LB LCS next week, so. [00:46:48] Speaker E: Oh, the newest team, Liquid Fan. [00:46:51] Speaker B: Wish I could play an LBLCS game. [00:46:53] Speaker D: Poor guy. [00:46:54] Speaker B: You know? [00:46:54] Speaker E: Poor guy. [00:46:55] Speaker B: Our enemy teams don't want to be, you know, come together or anything like that. [00:47:00] Speaker D: Yeah, I know. Scheduling stuff is fun. Okay. Anyways, in that preamble, I believe that everybody should have. I had it one to 12. [00:47:08] Speaker E: Let's roll. Okay. [00:47:10] Speaker D: Are we ready to go? [00:47:11] Speaker B: Yes. [00:47:11] Speaker D: All right. Going back to the beginning. [00:47:14] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:47:18] Speaker D: Name the team that lost the very first World Finals to Fnatic. [00:47:22] Speaker B: Oh, I got it. I got it. [00:47:24] Speaker E: Yep. Got it. [00:47:28] Speaker A: I. Maybe that's it. I don't know. [00:47:32] Speaker D: Okay, so Yanni Bickler. Good. Duffy, you good? [00:47:37] Speaker C: You know I'm good. [00:47:38] Speaker D: I know you're good. Kangas, do you have an answer written down? [00:47:43] Speaker A: I do. [00:47:44] Speaker D: Okay. [00:47:44] Speaker C: I'll tell you this, Kangas. Wait, wait, hold on, hold on. CLG got fifth. [00:47:49] Speaker A: I know. Yeah. [00:47:50] Speaker C: Change your answer. [00:47:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Although I almost did. I almost did. [00:47:56] Speaker D: Okay. All right, we'll do. We'll do all the answers at the end. Okay. Question 2. At 2012 Worlds, this player caused a controversy because during a pause, they turned around and looked at a screen. Who is the player? [00:48:15] Speaker A: I don't know if I could list [00:48:16] Speaker D: a player that is playing 2012 Worlds. This player had a cheating allegation because during a pause, he turned around and looked at a screen. Name the player. [00:48:30] Speaker E: Shoot. [00:48:31] Speaker D: Really? These quizzes are me just seeing how I can. How. How I can have Kangas try and turn gears on his brain that I never thought he knew that he would have to turn at some point. [00:48:42] Speaker A: Yeah, that's how. [00:48:43] Speaker C: If I can name the team, I can't remember which. [00:48:48] Speaker E: Yeah, I got the team. I can't remember the player. [00:48:50] Speaker B: No, it's got to be the player, guys. Yes. [00:48:57] Speaker D: I'll give a half point if you give the team. [00:49:00] Speaker C: Okay. [00:49:01] Speaker E: All right. All right, I'm gonna take a shot because this, I think, is the most notable player on that Team. [00:49:11] Speaker D: Okay, Everybody got an answer written down? [00:49:14] Speaker B: Yep. Oh, yeah. [00:49:16] Speaker D: All right. [00:49:17] Speaker C: I'm gonna Fuck it. [00:49:17] Speaker D: Question 3. This player turned coach leaked scrim picks for IG. [00:49:25] Speaker B: I know that one at work. [00:49:26] Speaker D: I got that one on the English Street. [00:49:28] Speaker E: I got that one. [00:49:31] Speaker A: Player coach. [00:49:34] Speaker C: Player turned coach leaked. What did he leak again? He. [00:49:38] Speaker D: So going into it a little more context, there was eight. It was Hecarim with Callista Kedin. Was the pairing that this. This coach, this person on the analyst desk leaked for I. That IG had. So I think I got it. It's an LPL player turned coach that was leaking scrim picks. [00:50:03] Speaker A: I don't have it anymore. [00:50:04] Speaker B: What the hell? [00:50:05] Speaker A: It was an LPL player. [00:50:07] Speaker D: Well, he was player that turned into a coach. He's a very notable LPL player that turned. Yeah. [00:50:14] Speaker C: You're gonna feel really stupid. [00:50:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:18] Speaker D: You don't know the answer to this. I'm going to be honest. [00:50:20] Speaker C: I'll give you a hint. It's not Hot Shot gg. [00:50:23] Speaker A: That's crazy. All right. [00:50:29] Speaker D: Okay. Everybody ready for the next one? Let's go, Kangas. You got something written down? [00:50:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:50:38] Speaker D: You good? [00:50:39] Speaker B: Oh, wait. [00:50:40] Speaker E: Okay. [00:50:40] Speaker C: The second I come back, suddenly Kangas [00:50:43] Speaker D: starts not doing so well. [00:50:44] Speaker C: You are the curse, man. [00:50:46] Speaker A: All right, let's keep it rolling. Let's give it. [00:50:47] Speaker D: All right, he's a free number four. During game two of World Semis and Rocks versus skt, who did Praise Arrow hit? [00:50:59] Speaker B: Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one. [00:51:02] Speaker E: That is. Can I also name the champion this player was playing? [00:51:05] Speaker D: Yes, you can. [00:51:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:51:07] Speaker D: No bonus points, but I'll give you a damn hat. [00:51:09] Speaker B: Oh, okay. I'm not writing it down, but I. I think. I think I got it. [00:51:15] Speaker C: Okay, wait, say it again. [00:51:16] Speaker D: This game of League of Legends is my most watched game of league in my entire, like, career. [00:51:23] Speaker A: Watching this game, all I remember is they were TPing, so it had to have been a solo laner. So I just gotta, like, remember who the soul. [00:51:31] Speaker D: All I can remember is Krappa going the arrow. [00:51:33] Speaker B: Look at the arrow. Look at the arrow, look at the arrow. [00:51:37] Speaker A: I think I got it. I think this was who. Yeah. Okay. [00:51:41] Speaker D: And if you know the next call, [00:51:43] Speaker A: it's like a 50, 50. [00:51:44] Speaker D: The player is mentioned by freak in the next call. If you remember that sequence. Number four. [00:51:52] Speaker C: Okay, we just did number four. [00:51:53] Speaker D: That was number four. Yes. [00:51:54] Speaker C: Okay, thank you. [00:51:55] Speaker D: Okay, so everybody have an answer for number four? [00:51:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:51:59] Speaker D: Who did Praise Arrows hit in the closing moments of game two of the World Semis versus SKT in 2016. Okay. Number five, kind of on the same vein in the Levi paranoia five minutes into the game. [00:52:14] Speaker E: Oh, God. [00:52:15] Speaker D: At Worlds 2017. I'll give you the team because it'll make it easier in the game against Fnatic, who got altered by Levi. And the paranoia five minutes into the game sequence during World's 2017 groups. [00:52:30] Speaker B: I have no idea, bro. This is the first one that I have no idea. [00:52:35] Speaker A: Pretty sure it was bought. Oh, I, I shouldn't say anything. No, no, don't worry about it. [00:52:40] Speaker C: Okay, wait, can you say it all again for me? [00:52:43] Speaker D: Okay, so the no in world in group Stage of Worlds 2017, the Levi had a Nocturne Ulti five minutes into the game. [00:52:56] Speaker E: Paranoia. [00:52:57] Speaker D: That was a famous call by Dracos. That was paranoia five minutes into the game. Who, who was the player that got ulted by Levi in that moment? [00:53:07] Speaker E: I'm between two players. [00:53:10] Speaker A: I got one, I put it in, I think I remember and I'll, and [00:53:14] Speaker D: I gave you the hint of the team that they were playing against was Fnatic. [00:53:21] Speaker C: I feel like there's an obvious answer. I'm, I don't remember who he ulted. That's insane. If you had, I don't know, just let me guess. The team I would have gotten, probably, [00:53:32] Speaker E: but the player going with the less obvious answer. And I'm saying, please don't be this player. [00:53:45] Speaker C: Okay, fuck it. Me ball. [00:53:47] Speaker D: Okay. Duffy, good. Kangas, you good? [00:53:50] Speaker A: I'm good. [00:53:51] Speaker D: Yanni, you good? [00:53:53] Speaker B: Oh, I mean, yeah, but okay, this [00:53:55] Speaker A: ain't gonna be right. [00:53:56] Speaker D: It's fine. If you miss questions, it's, it's these. Some of these are supposed to be hard. Okay. [00:54:00] Speaker A: That was the first one I got right. [00:54:02] Speaker B: That one's hard. [00:54:04] Speaker D: I, I, you know, I'm gonna be honest, I don't think you did. [00:54:08] Speaker A: God damn it. [00:54:08] Speaker D: But anyways, all right, number six, which team was the quote, last bastion of Korea at 2018 Worlds? [00:54:18] Speaker E: Got it, got it. [00:54:19] Speaker A: Easy, easy. [00:54:20] Speaker D: Yeah. I was about to say, as we get later on, there's gonna be some easier questions vestige of Korea. [00:54:31] Speaker C: Okay. [00:54:32] Speaker A: Yanni, it's T1. [00:54:34] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. [00:54:36] Speaker C: It's not CLG. They didn't even make worlds. [00:54:46] Speaker D: Okay, so we're ready for question seven, then question seven, which is the only G2 player that played pike in the grand finals of MSI 2019 against Team Liquid. [00:54:58] Speaker B: Oh. [00:54:59] Speaker E: Oh, that's a good one. [00:55:04] Speaker D: Only one player on the G2 roster at MSI 2019 Grand Finals played Pike against Team Liquid. Name? [00:55:11] Speaker A: Notably, four of the players on the roster had played it at some point. Nope. [00:55:15] Speaker E: They all played it. They all played it all day. [00:55:17] Speaker D: They all played it. [00:55:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:55:18] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm taking a guess. I don't remember which one of them. [00:55:21] Speaker A: I don't either. I threw one. [00:55:22] Speaker E: I think I know. [00:55:25] Speaker C: What year was it? [00:55:27] Speaker E: 2019. [00:55:28] Speaker B: 19. [00:55:29] Speaker C: Okay, so then the question is. [00:55:32] Speaker D: Yeah. Which G2 player was the only one to play pike in the grand finals of 2019 against Team Liquid? It's not hotshot GG, I'll tell you that much. [00:55:45] Speaker E: Damn it. [00:55:46] Speaker C: Damn it. [00:55:47] Speaker D: Click, click, click. Click, Click, click. [00:55:51] Speaker C: Let me erase everything, Garnet. [00:55:53] Speaker A: All right, Are we all ready? [00:55:57] Speaker E: Go for it. [00:55:58] Speaker D: All right, number eight. This one hurts me. What? Champ was def playing when the inhibitor respawned on him during his backdoor attempt in 2022 World Semis Game 2. [00:56:08] Speaker B: I was there for that one. Ooh, ooh. [00:56:14] Speaker D: Cuz. There was an extensive discussion about the mechanics that Deft used in this moment. [00:56:21] Speaker B: Yep, I was there for that one. [00:56:22] Speaker D: I remember that day. [00:56:24] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:26] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:56:29] Speaker E: Deft. You had it all in your hands. [00:56:31] Speaker A: I think. I think I remember. I think. [00:56:32] Speaker D: What Champ was Deft playing when the inhibitor respond on him during his backdoor attempt in game two of Worlds or in 2022 World Semis. [00:56:42] Speaker B: Dude, I remember the crowd reaction to that. Oh, my God. [00:56:46] Speaker E: Semis. I thought that was cool. [00:56:49] Speaker B: No, that's quarters. [00:56:50] Speaker E: Maybe it was quarters. [00:56:52] Speaker D: Okay. It was quarters. Yeah. Yeah, because it wasn't the Gen G series. It was the. Yeah, My apologies. [00:57:03] Speaker B: Is the EDG series, right? [00:57:05] Speaker E: Yep. [00:57:05] Speaker D: A tip of the tip of the cat. [00:57:07] Speaker C: Okay. [00:57:07] Speaker D: I don't. [00:57:08] Speaker C: I don't fucking know. I'm wiki. Okay, never mind. I don't. Choosing which game is not gonna help me. [00:57:16] Speaker D: I don't know. Yeah, Game two, that doesn't help me. [00:57:19] Speaker C: I just have like, a vision in my head of what I think was happening at the time. [00:57:23] Speaker E: Back when games weren't fearless. [00:57:25] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. Number nine. This one's gonna be a good one. I can't wait to hear this. Name all the champions that have skins in honor of Faker. Oh, Jesus Christ. [00:57:42] Speaker C: I've been here the entire time. [00:57:46] Speaker D: I will. I will if you. I will not. Okay, so for the 2025 ones, I [00:57:52] Speaker E: was gonna say 2025. [00:57:54] Speaker D: It does not count, but it's on the list just in case. If you want to list it as well, be my guest, but I did not. [00:58:01] Speaker C: This is a good time to say that I did not watch much of 2025. [00:58:05] Speaker D: That's fine. It's. It's. It's not on The. The required answer. I just have it on there for clarity's sake, just in case somebody does say it. [00:58:14] Speaker A: I think I got all of them already. [00:58:19] Speaker C: Oh, right, right, right. Okay, Wait, wait. Okay. Can you say exactly what. What you are asking us to write down again? [00:58:27] Speaker D: Name all the skins in the game that are in honor of Faker. [00:58:32] Speaker C: Okay. [00:58:32] Speaker D: All right. [00:58:33] Speaker C: Okay. [00:58:39] Speaker D: I'll give you a minute. Because I figured this was going to be the longest one because this. And as. As you are typing slash, thinking about the answer and all of the different possibilities. This is question nine. There are two more questions, and then there is a. Sam specifically asked for one question. [00:59:05] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:59:08] Speaker D: I. He wanted it to pertain to a specific topic, and I tried to make it as easy as I could while making it as difficult as he wanted it to be. So I expect nobody except potentially Sam and a couple of other old heads to get the question correct. So just keep that in mind. [00:59:31] Speaker C: I don't think. [00:59:32] Speaker D: That being said, everybody have their I'm ready. Hold on. [00:59:35] Speaker E: Give me one second. [00:59:36] Speaker D: Written down. Okay. Duffy, you good? [00:59:40] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. It. [00:59:41] Speaker D: We both. Johnny, you good? [00:59:42] Speaker B: Yeah, I. [00:59:43] Speaker E: Okay. [00:59:44] Speaker B: I definitely am missing. [00:59:45] Speaker C: I feel good enough about all the other ones that I answered that. I. We're gonna hope this one's right. [00:59:50] Speaker D: I'll figure out how to do, like, a point system for that one because, like, it's weird that that's a question that's potentially, you know, the most valuable question out of all of them on the list. [01:00:02] Speaker E: Okay. I think. I think I remember what his most recent skin was. [01:00:06] Speaker B: Okay. [01:00:07] Speaker D: All right. Number 10 pertaining to the T1 slash SKT skins. This is the only skin line in the game that has more skins than the skt slash T1 set. [01:00:16] Speaker C: Oh, oh, oh. Oh, man. [01:00:23] Speaker A: I think I. I know it. [01:00:24] Speaker B: Actually. [01:00:25] Speaker D: There's. There's only one skin line that has more skins than the skt slash T1 skins combined. Name me. [01:00:32] Speaker A: That's. [01:00:37] Speaker C: I don't. [01:00:37] Speaker E: It's. [01:00:43] Speaker C: Do they do skin lines the same way anymore? [01:00:47] Speaker D: I mean, if I say that it's one, that's [01:00:53] Speaker C: okay. [01:00:54] Speaker D: It's a theme. Like, it's a theme, so I don't know how to do it without giving a massive hint. [01:01:13] Speaker A: I got it. I'm actually pretty confident in my one. [01:01:15] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:16] Speaker E: I'm between two, but I'll get back to it. [01:01:18] Speaker C: I'm not confident in mine, but I'm not confident either. Okay, but whatever. [01:01:22] Speaker D: All right, moving on then. Bickley, I don't want to rush you. [01:01:27] Speaker E: Go for it. [01:01:28] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:29] Speaker E: All right, I'll Flip it later. [01:01:31] Speaker D: Question 11. Question 11. Rehashing of one of the earlier quiz episodes that I did. According to Leakpedia, which champ has the most kills and professional or post most pentakills in professional play? All time. [01:01:46] Speaker A: Wait, which player? [01:01:47] Speaker C: I should know this. [01:01:48] Speaker B: Champion. [01:01:49] Speaker D: Which champion, according to Leaguepedia, has the most professional pentakills? [01:01:53] Speaker C: Oh, I think we've definitely had this question before. [01:01:56] Speaker D: I've asked this question before, but that was like four years ago. [01:01:59] Speaker C: Yeah. And I should remember. [01:02:03] Speaker A: Hey, maybe it's updated, you know? Maybe it's like. [01:02:06] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. [01:02:07] Speaker E: If I'm remembering right, it's not close. [01:02:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:02:12] Speaker B: Okay. [01:02:12] Speaker C: I don't. This seems right. [01:02:15] Speaker A: I. Mine feels right too. [01:02:18] Speaker B: Same. [01:02:19] Speaker D: Yanni, you good? [01:02:19] Speaker B: Yep. [01:02:20] Speaker C: Nidalee, right? [01:02:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:02:21] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Honestly, we don't even need to do that. I just. We're just gonna go from the top and we're gonna answer them one by one. How's that? [01:03:34] Speaker A: Okay, I like that. [01:03:35] Speaker D: Okay, just to save time, because we [01:03:37] Speaker E: got question about the faker skins question. If there are multiple versions of a skin, does that count as multiple skins? [01:03:47] Speaker D: No, it's just the champions. [01:03:48] Speaker E: Okay. Just the champions. [01:03:50] Speaker A: Okay. [01:03:50] Speaker D: Yeah. I'm just going by the champs, so. [01:03:53] Speaker C: And for clgu, we're just considering when they were clgu, correct? [01:03:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:03:58] Speaker C: Oh, man. [01:04:01] Speaker B: Mine is definitely wrong. [01:04:02] Speaker D: You're not gonna get the question. [01:04:04] Speaker B: It's the only tournament that I can remember that they bladed. [01:04:09] Speaker C: That's pretty much where I'm at. [01:04:10] Speaker E: We have to say a year also. [01:04:13] Speaker D: No, I hope not. [01:04:14] Speaker E: Okay. [01:04:15] Speaker C: They only existed for one year. [01:04:16] Speaker E: Okay. [01:04:17] Speaker C: So I'll give you that. [01:04:17] Speaker D: It was. It was. It was two years, technically. [01:04:20] Speaker C: Was it two? [01:04:21] Speaker D: Yeah. And then. Well, okay. And then they played as EG in 2013. [01:04:26] Speaker E: Okay. [01:04:27] Speaker C: Yeah, essentially. [01:04:29] Speaker B: All right, I got about half of these. Right? [01:04:31] Speaker D: Okay. Starting at the top. This is the team that lost the first World Finals to Fnatic. Trying to think. Actually, Kangas, I want to hear your answer to this. [01:04:42] Speaker A: Oh, no, please. I put who is complexity? [01:04:52] Speaker D: Good guess. [01:04:52] Speaker C: Good guess. [01:04:54] Speaker D: Bickle, who is the team that lost the first World Finals? [01:04:57] Speaker E: That'd be against all authority. [01:05:00] Speaker C: Yes, sir. [01:05:00] Speaker B: Okay, let's go. [01:05:01] Speaker D: Yanni, did you get that? Also? [01:05:03] Speaker A: I had. [01:05:03] Speaker B: Against all authority. Yes. [01:05:05] Speaker D: Excellent. Okay. All right. At World. [01:05:08] Speaker A: You know. You know, let's all Send them in now to Badger. [01:05:11] Speaker B: Just. [01:05:11] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, send them in now. Send them in now. [01:05:13] Speaker A: Okay, Just. [01:05:13] Speaker D: I want to see what. [01:05:14] Speaker A: I don't trust any of you. [01:05:17] Speaker E: I gotta flip it. [01:05:19] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [01:05:22] Speaker A: Boom, there we go. [01:05:23] Speaker D: My DMs are just exploding. Okay. [01:05:26] Speaker C: You're so popular. [01:05:27] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. [01:05:28] Speaker A: What? [01:05:30] Speaker D: I'm. Kangas, I'm. I'm proud of you for this. Honestly, I tried. I know you did. You did a great job, but I'm proud of you for this. All right, Worlds 2012 player, look. Okay, yeah, you're good, you're good, you're good. I'll just read the question while you're sending it over because I'm gonna have Duffy answer this one. At Worlds 2012, this player looked at a screen during a pause leading to cheating allegations and a public apology from the player. Name the player. Duffy. [01:05:58] Speaker C: All right, so I believe it was Azubu Frost. [01:06:00] Speaker D: Yes. [01:06:01] Speaker C: And I think it was their ad carry Woong. [01:06:03] Speaker D: It was Azubu Frost's woong. [01:06:06] Speaker C: Oh, let's go. All I remember is it was the second from the edge. Like, I can literally picture the. [01:06:15] Speaker D: Remember, you can see him take a look to his right and he's just staring at the fucking screen. It's great. I love it. All right, number three, this player turned coach. Leaked screen pick scrim picks on the 2015 English World Stream for IG. Yanni, you're the LPL guy who was the coach. [01:06:40] Speaker B: That would be former Royal Club support and current JDG coach, Tabe. [01:06:46] Speaker D: Yep, it was in fact Tabe on the English stream. [01:06:52] Speaker A: He. [01:06:53] Speaker D: They got to talking about it and he said, on good authority. I heard that Hecarim will be played with Callista Kennon. And the entire desk just pauses because they don't know how to react to that information. It's a 10 out of 10 desk clip. All right, number four, who did praise Arrow hit during the closing moments of game two world semi finals in 2016 versus SKT Kangas. [01:07:18] Speaker A: I put Duke. I Know it's a solo laner. [01:07:22] Speaker E: It is. [01:07:25] Speaker C: Wow. [01:07:26] Speaker D: You said the champion. What champion was Duke playing? [01:07:29] Speaker E: Yeah, Duke was playing Echo Echo. [01:07:32] Speaker B: Echo Top dude. [01:07:33] Speaker A: Wow. [01:07:37] Speaker D: All right. [01:07:37] Speaker C: For some reason I had the idea that it was Yasuo and I was like, there's no way. [01:07:41] Speaker D: No, no, no. That was. Was a common top lane pick back then. But it was. It was Tank Echo because it was the Tank meta worlds. [01:07:50] Speaker A: That's what he chose for the world skin too, right? [01:07:52] Speaker D: Yeah. Yes. [01:07:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:54] Speaker E: Yep. [01:07:54] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah. Getting him. The years picks up. There's too many SKT skins. [01:07:59] Speaker C: Wait. Productions in my ear. [01:08:01] Speaker A: Hold on. [01:08:01] Speaker C: They're saying yes. [01:08:03] Speaker D: Yes. All right, number five, 2017 world's group stage. Which Fnatic player got altered by Levi in the paranoia five minutes into the game sequence? [01:08:17] Speaker B: Did anybody get this? [01:08:18] Speaker D: Right, one of you. [01:08:20] Speaker C: So I know it was Bot Lane. [01:08:24] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:08:24] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:08:25] Speaker C: It was either Reckless or Jezz's, who I believe was the support at the time. [01:08:28] Speaker D: Yep. [01:08:29] Speaker C: It was so. It was just. [01:08:31] Speaker D: It was. Jesus. [01:08:33] Speaker C: I did not remember which of the two. [01:08:35] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:08:35] Speaker B: I couldn't remember who the support was at that time. Please don't be like. I was like wild. [01:08:43] Speaker D: Because it was the. During the funnel meta and it was fantastic. Like, I don't know how they managed to do it. Lane swaps and all that he was picking up. [01:08:49] Speaker E: If I'm remembering right, I think Soaz on maokai legitimately had 0Cs at that moment still. [01:08:55] Speaker D: He had. He had like too far. [01:08:58] Speaker E: Like. [01:08:58] Speaker D: Yeah, he actually. [01:08:59] Speaker A: That's why. [01:08:59] Speaker E: Because it was the double jungle meta where basically the top winner would go around helping the jungle are falling wild meta. [01:09:06] Speaker D: Honestly. Okay, number six. What team was the last bastion of Korea? 2018 Worlds. All right, all together on three. One, two, three. [01:09:17] Speaker C: Excited about KT. [01:09:19] Speaker A: It's a freak of freaks. It was a freak. [01:09:21] Speaker D: It's a freak of freaks. [01:09:23] Speaker E: Vestige of Korea has fallen. [01:09:25] Speaker D: The last bastion of Korea has fallen. Because that's the series that Licorice soul Baron. Licorice steals the Baron with a horn. Originally that was gonna be the question, but I was like, no. Last bastion of Korea because I did too many champ specific ones. All right, number seven. Which G2 player played was the. Which G2 player was the only player to play pike in the grand finals of 2019 MSI against Team Liquid? Anybody want to take a stab at this one? Yeah. [01:09:55] Speaker C: Nice perks. But I know that I know that [01:10:07] Speaker D: I ain't right it was wonder wonderful. [01:10:11] Speaker A: That was my first one. Then I was like, no, it was bot Lane because they were liquid was playing the Sona Seraphine back then. [01:10:18] Speaker D: No, it was unfortunately for you, caps [01:10:22] Speaker C: even on that team. [01:10:22] Speaker A: Yes, that was the first spotlight. [01:10:25] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:10:42] Speaker E: Sonataric was the big thing and God, it was terrible. [01:10:45] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, that's right. [01:10:46] Speaker D: All right, number eight. What Champ was def playing when the inhibitor respawned on him during his backdoor attempt in game two of 2022 Worldwide World's Quarters. [01:10:54] Speaker C: I need to know if I got this right. [01:10:56] Speaker B: All right, rip it. [01:10:57] Speaker C: I. I put Varys. [01:10:58] Speaker B: Nope. [01:10:59] Speaker D: Incorrect. [01:11:00] Speaker E: No, no, [01:11:02] Speaker B: Yanni, it was Ezreal. [01:11:05] Speaker D: Yeah, was in fact Ezra. [01:11:07] Speaker C: It was one of those two. Was Varys in that game? [01:11:09] Speaker B: No. [01:11:10] Speaker D: Maybe on the Edgar side, but no, [01:11:12] Speaker B: he was playing a Felio. [01:11:13] Speaker A: I don't think so. [01:11:14] Speaker D: Oh, that's right. It was Felio. [01:11:15] Speaker E: I don't think Varus was meta that [01:11:16] Speaker D: they were talking about. There's a lot of talk about whether he wasted sheen procs and his W usage and he definitely. [01:11:24] Speaker C: That's right. [01:11:25] Speaker A: So makes. [01:11:26] Speaker D: Okay, number nine. Name all the skins that are in the game in honor of Faker. I guess I should. [01:12:15] Speaker D: No, no one has said Orianna yet. So. Orianna. Correct. Yanni, to you. [01:12:22] Speaker B: I. I cannot remember because I'm tapped out on answers. [01:12:28] Speaker A: Okay, I got one more. [01:12:30] Speaker D: You got kangas. What do you got? [01:12:31] Speaker A: I got Silas. [01:12:33] Speaker D: Correctly. You want to get the last one? [01:12:36] Speaker E: Is it last? I thought there were two more. [01:12:40] Speaker D: Wait. Oh, Zed. I'll just read the answers because we're confused. I almost have confused us at this point. Syndra, Orianna, Ari, Leblanc, Yone, Silas and Galio. [01:12:53] Speaker B: Yeah, those are all the ones counts because it's on the hall of. [01:12:56] Speaker E: Yeah. LeBlanc counts because it's not the main hall of Legends skin, but it's still a Hall of Legends skin. [01:13:01] Speaker D: It's still a legend skin. [01:13:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:13:03] Speaker B: I own both those skins, and I use that skin all the time. It didn't even cross my mind. [01:13:07] Speaker D: LeBlanc counts technically in this situation. [01:13:10] Speaker C: Did not even think about if you answered. [01:13:12] Speaker B: Shame on you, by the way. [01:13:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:13:16] Speaker C: Yeah. No one did that, right. [01:13:18] Speaker D: Duffy checks notes. [01:13:21] Speaker C: I did at least put several question marks behind it. [01:13:24] Speaker D: Yeah, you did put like, you did put three question marks right behind it. [01:13:28] Speaker C: I did not remember. [01:13:29] Speaker D: Yeah, that was true. So number two ten. This is the only skin line in the game that has more skins than the skt. T1 skin sets. Bickle. [01:13:41] Speaker E: Please, God, don't be project. Is it High Noon? [01:13:44] Speaker D: It is High Noon. No, High Noon has 36. SKT is tied with Spirit Blossom at 35. [01:13:55] Speaker A: Damn it. I put Spear Blossom. I put Spear Blossom as well. [01:13:59] Speaker C: Wasn't even close. I said Hextech [01:14:06] Speaker B: was a good answer, though. [01:14:07] Speaker D: Hextech is a. Hextech is a good answer because of all. [01:14:09] Speaker C: Thank you. I needed to hear that. [01:14:11] Speaker D: Iterations of it from the mythic show. [01:14:13] Speaker B: You could have been like me and answered Pool party. [01:14:16] Speaker D: Honestly. That's a really good answer because that's up there. [01:14:18] Speaker A: I thought about that. [01:14:20] Speaker D: Honestly. All of those were good answers. Good answers, everybody. Good job. [01:14:22] Speaker C: Oh, nice job, everyone. [01:14:23] Speaker B: Good job. Good job. [01:14:24] Speaker A: Okay, there's only one person. [01:14:26] Speaker D: Yeah. Two more. Which champ has the most? Which champ, according to Leakpedia, has the most professional pentakills? Kangas, I want to hear your answer on this. [01:14:37] Speaker A: I put. I think it's gonna be naty carry. And I thought back to, like, one that's been around for a long enough time that this could happen. I put Aphelios. [01:14:46] Speaker E: Oh, okay. [01:14:47] Speaker D: Correct. You're fourth on the list. [01:14:50] Speaker B: I was out there, buddy. [01:14:53] Speaker D: Yanni. [01:14:54] Speaker B: Kaisa. [01:14:56] Speaker D: It is Kaisa. When I did the question originally, it is still Kaisa. [01:15:02] Speaker C: Still Kaiser. [01:15:03] Speaker A: Okay. [01:15:03] Speaker D: 233 for Kaisa. 160 for Jinx. [01:15:06] Speaker E: 137. [01:15:10] Speaker B: Okay. [01:15:11] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:15:11] Speaker D: Wow. Release. Kaisa was busted, and there was no. [01:15:15] Speaker B: There was no Fearless, and she was picked [01:15:20] Speaker A: back forever. [01:15:24] Speaker D: Yep. All right, last question. I'm just gonna get all of your answers on this because I want to. I'm curious to hear what you said. This was the last tournament that CLG EU won. [01:15:36] Speaker E: Bickle, go Dream Hack 2012. [01:15:39] Speaker D: Close, but no cigar. Duffy. [01:15:41] Speaker C: Go, MLG. [01:15:44] Speaker D: Nice try, but no. Kangas. [01:15:46] Speaker A: Go IEM Katowice. [01:15:49] Speaker D: Oh, that's a really good answer. But no, Yanni, I think it's gonna [01:15:53] Speaker B: be some random MLG event. But I put IPL5. [01:15:57] Speaker A: You. [01:15:58] Speaker D: You know what? I love IPL5. [01:15:59] Speaker E: IPL5 is great, Sam. [01:16:01] Speaker D: It is. That is incorrect. The correct answer was Lone Star Clash 2. [01:16:06] Speaker A: Oh, how did I not remember it? [01:16:10] Speaker B: Oh, you say that was gonna be my second answer. [01:16:14] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh my gosh. How come could you. [01:16:17] Speaker C: I don't remember this. [01:16:18] Speaker E: Damn. [01:16:18] Speaker B: It [01:16:21] Speaker D: is correct. [01:16:23] Speaker C: Organized by the Texas Esports association took place Cyber Sports Network. [01:16:29] Speaker A: Oh, that's actually hilarious. [01:16:30] Speaker D: Jaws and Seltzer, please. Were the hosts. And the games were casted by Jaws, Scara, Rivington and Torch. [01:16:38] Speaker C: Oh, I don't remember this. [01:16:40] Speaker A: Rivington. [01:16:40] Speaker C: That's crazy. [01:16:41] Speaker D: There were only four teams. It was Sealgeu, Curse, Fear, and a team called Reddit Nation with these players named Yazuki High, Wild Turtle, Neon Tanso and Lemon Nation. I don't know who are those guys? Who the are those guys? [01:16:57] Speaker C: That's crazy. [01:16:58] Speaker D: But yeah. So that's. That's. That's your quiz for this. [01:17:02] Speaker A: Well, thank you. How many? How much did everyone get? I got two. [01:17:06] Speaker B: I don't know how many I got. [01:17:09] Speaker C: I. So I was keeping track. For me. I got 1, 2, 3, 4. I'm gonna count the Jezza's one for me. I got all but two of the skins for Faker and I got Kaisa. [01:17:22] Speaker A: Right. [01:17:22] Speaker C: I got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Ish. [01:17:25] Speaker B: I got 6, not counting any of the skins for Faker and I got five of those right. [01:17:31] Speaker A: I damn. I think I got right. Actually. Impressive. [01:17:35] Speaker B: What you got. How much? [01:17:37] Speaker D: Nickel's a sicko, right? Like me. You need to remember that. Like. [01:17:40] Speaker A: Yeah, that's crazy, right? [01:17:42] Speaker D: Like 3,000 word summaries for the LPL series. Back in the day, back when people [01:17:47] Speaker E: didn't really care about the lpl. [01:17:49] Speaker B: True. [01:17:49] Speaker D: Yeah. Yep. [01:17:50] Speaker B: Not much has changed. [01:17:52] Speaker A: Yeah. In fact, arguably less people care. [01:17:57] Speaker B: Well, maybe, maybe, maybe a spark has ignited after firsthand True. Many are still calling a fake tournament. [01:18:07] Speaker A: If people want to go watch lpl, Yanni, where can they do it? [01:18:11] Speaker B: They can do so at Twitch TV. LPL English LPL starts up on April 4th. That is the first Saturday in April. So that is not this upcoming Saturday, but the Saturday after that. [01:18:25] Speaker A: Hell yeah. [01:18:26] Speaker E: Speaking of this upcoming Saturday, we have LEC starting Saturday. [01:18:31] Speaker A: It is starting this weekend. It's crazy. Crazy. It's right around the corner. This episode could not triple feature a preview. So we're just going to react next week to how LEC goes. Sorry. For anybody who really wanted to hear our insightful thoughts on on the one roster change that happened between last split and this. [01:18:51] Speaker E: I'm really excited for this SK Team Heretics matchup. [01:18:56] Speaker A: Yeah, let me tell you, I. I'm doing my homework on that one. [01:18:59] Speaker D: I don't even know who's playing on Saturday. I'm not gonna lie. [01:19:02] Speaker A: We'll cover it all next week again. So hope if you want to check out the schedule Leaguepedia you can find on there, avoid the Riot website. Like, like the plague. That's not where you get your information. And with that being said, everybody, thank you for being on episode 600. Thank you everybody for tuning in to episode 600. Duffy. Thank you for coming back for episode 600. Round of applause for Duffy. And also Duffy while we're at it. If you. You're. You're right. In law school, you're. You're a learned man, I would say. And I would hope that you're. You're good with numbers. Better than most of us on the podcast. If you could recommend a number for anybody listening to Leave as a review, maybe like a number of stars that they could possibly leave. Do you have any that come to mind? Any. Any numbers? [01:19:50] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a great question. Normally I would say the best number of stars to leave is 11, but I've been told that some systems don't go that high and so if their system doesn't go to 11, then I think you should at least leave five stars. [01:20:07] Speaker A: Oh, well, that's as high as. That's perfect. [01:20:10] Speaker C: That's. That's good. [01:20:11] Speaker A: Okay, good five star review would be fantastic. Had to put Duffy on the spot for that one. He could have said instead five for how many. He got right on the quiz and flexed a little bit, but. [01:20:23] Speaker C: Well, you know, I think maybe there's six in here. You know, [01:20:28] Speaker A: leave a six hour review for how many questions have we got? [01:20:31] Speaker C: Right. [01:20:32] Speaker A: But most importantly, everybody, thank you for listening. We love you and we'll see you next time for episode 700. Maybe later. Bye bye. [01:20:40] Speaker C: Bye bye, everyone. [01:20:41] Speaker E: Peace.
